Only had to buy because it wasn't included with saw I purchased at the same time!
But it is convenient because it fits a wide range if tools and is nice to not have an extra battery so don't have to wait for charging

This was a replacement battery and charge for an older tool and the new battery is smaller and the charger has an indicator that shows the battery is full

I'm happy with the battery and charger, but I'm NOT happy with the packaging hardest thing get the product out of. I spent about 45 minutes trying to get it out of the package and cut myself on the sharp edge of the plastic. I don't know why they can't just put it in a box with bubble wrap.
