I was looking for a replacement spool cap for my Hyper Tough Cordless Trimmer and this one does fit. I know the Hyper Tough parts are scarce so I hope this helps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed my Ryobi weed eater but there are two issues I have a gripe about. One the spool does not release the cord easily or at all. Two, the spool cap, not the toughest part and will be replaced several times a year. I have to manually open the spool to release the line and then closed it back up at least 20x on my yard.

This is a straightforward OEM replacement. with string trimmers these heads are the weak point and they tend to wear out.

I was gifted an excellent trimmer, but it only had the brush cutting head. I got a great deal on a 3-spool package, and this trimmer head fit right into place and made it all possible. I’m out in the yard a lot more these days.

My Ryobi Trimmer cap was loose after I replaced the string (unknowingly) and it flew off into the bushes when I started using my trimmer again and I couldn't locate it. I was frustrated to think I might have to purchase a new trimmer when my current one worked well. I looked at the Home Depot website and found this cap. I purchased it and picked it up the same day and it fit perfectly! I have used it several times since with no problems. I am happy with my purchase and thrilled I didn't have to purchase a whole new trimmer! The photo shows how dirty it has already becomes since I have continued using it, but it works great!

This is the second maybe third spool cap I’ve replaced. Ryobi should improve their design as there is no reason for this to occur. I am considering replacing it with another brand.

It fit my Ryobi edger perfectly and seems very durable.

This is a cheap piece of plastic that is essential to your trimmer working. Though it's not very durable and tends to break after about 6 months of use. Then in the middle of cutting your grass you have to stop what you're doing and go to Home Depot to get a replacement part at the excessive price of $10. They don't even sell a generic part to fit the trimmer, you have to buy the Ryobi part. Then have fun trying to find it at the store, it will likely be in some random box on the bottom shelf causing you to waste time.

I was happy to find a replacement spool cap for our RYOBI cordless trimmer that we purchased at Home Depot two-and-a-half years ago. I've been using the new spool cap for both our front and back yards and I'm thinking about purchasing another one soon so that I'll have it ready to go when I need another replacement in the next two-and-a-half years. I really like the cordless trimmer as opposed to having to drag an extension cord for wherever I need to trim.
