purchased this set as a replacement pair for what I already had, and was only marginally more than the cost of replacing two batteries; essentially the same drill and driver I had before, but these include LED lights in the base that aim at where you are working; surprised that this was never mentioned in the ad or featured in the specs, pleasantly surprised; to me Ryobi is best bang for buck out there; I've built three free-standing structures with these in addition to numerous lesser tasks and never an issue; if I have another child I'll name it Ryobi; is that over the top?

  • Glad to see they changed the charger

Purchased this combo kit with a different charger. Tools were great, the charger was junk. I got about 6 charges from the first kit. HD swapped out the whole kit. Second charger lasted for about 14-16 charges before it stopped working. Went back to HD and they were going to swap out the charger with the same type. I wouldn't allow it. After some time it was decided to just give a complete refund. Too bad as the tools I thought were very good and worth the money. Unfortunately the charge they were using in the kits are garbage. Glad to see Ryobi changed it out. Tools I would give 5 stars, but the charge 0 stars. I attached a picture of the charge to avoid as the still sell them.

A solid set that's definitely worth the cost, especially since it comes with two batteries if you're going to be using. It's definitely more durable than the impacts and drills from Milwaukee tools that I regularly use with the 18v Fuel system. Just be aware that the impact is a single speed.

I already had the 4 pc and some.of thease are in that kit but the deals on these tools are awesome so here I go again first the reciprocal saw. Its very comfortable, the rubberized grip is anti slip and it has a really nice toolless blade change head It made pruning my bushes a piece of cake and its now the second one I own and I'm not done. Now the drill and driver they both feel very similar and are both comfortable.I like the led light feature on both and both are well made. I now have 2 of each and cannot stop. The led work light is something I didn't think I would ever even need but once I used my first one I picked up 2 more and I keep one on the ready right at my front door. The batteries in this kit are good, the 4ah is better for working with tools it lasts a long time. The 1.5ah is prefect for the light and I set it down while on for several hours and the battery didn't run out. And now the multi tool, I already had the jobmax with the changeable heads so I had several different blades and I must say this in a handy tool and basically about 2 of thease tools are pretty much free at this deal so while I would not have bought this separately I'm glad I have it now. And now the circular saw. What can I say other than it has plenty of power its extremely comfortable and I am absolutely satisfied with it. It cuts perfectly out of the box 0° was square the angles and depth are easy to read and adjust so very nice.

Ryobi has come a very long way. I replaced my other brand tools with these and I have been very impressed. I use these tools daily and they have never missed a beat. Will continue to purchase Ryobi products. On a side note, Ryobi is investing heavily in the US and employing a lot of American workers.

  • Nice kit for the money

4 hour battery is really nice, great kit for around the house projects. Drill has good power and is very easy to handle. The multi purpose tool is nice for reaching tight areas that need trimming. The two saws are very capable of any projects around the house. Flashlights always are great. I would recommend this kit.

This kit is a nice set. The drill is strong and easy to use the keyless chuck holds tightly and is nice and true. I like the variable speed as well, the driver is surprisingly powerful and also has variable torque settings. I'm surprised to find a deal like this with 2 batteries. Expected to pay twice this much. Great deal

  • Very cheap! Break or strip constantly.
  • June 17, 2020

This would be a great bit set if the bits weren't horribly made. The tips are very soft metal, so they will not hesitate to bend, strip, or shear themselves right off when you're using them. They are not impact rated, as I had multiple bits snap off completely when using my Black & Decker 20V Impact driver. I returned the product for another one twice because I thought maybe I just got a bad set, but I was wrong. All the bits I had were pretty garbage and not worth the money. Seriously, it's not even like you can use them once and then toss them, some of the bits didn't even last one screw before being rendered unusable. Get the DeWalt or Milwaukee driver set if you want something that will last more than two uses.

If you are a beginning wood worker or someone that needs some tools for around the house but don't have a lot of money to spend, this is the perfect combo kit for you. Just about everything you need comes in this kit including a recip saw, light, drill and impact driver, two batteries (4.0 included) a charger and a really nice carry bag. Even though they are not brushless, they definitely get the job done. all of the tools feel well made, and did everything I needed them to do. The saw cut through a treated 6x6 multiple times without any hesitation. The drill is smooth to operate, and the impact will work great for screws and/or lugs. The work light is also really bright, and the bag helps get theses tools around. All in all, really happy with this kit and will say you really get a lot for the price. If your looking for a Christmas gift, or a set of tools without wanting to break the bank, definitely check this kit out!
