Being a carpenter, I got the pin nailer for those small jobs that you just don't want to get out the air compressor & air hose. The nailer made quick work of the job & now hassle. But as a carpenter of 19 years I would not say this tool would prompt me to get rid of my air compressor & air nailers. This pin nailer how ever is great for small jobs, as well if you need a nailer where you can't use the air nailer. The gun did do everything I needed to do with it, unlike other battery nailers I have used before. It had no problem setting any size pin I used. Nailer is easy to use & would be great for any DIY project. All in all great nailer.

With how far the technology has come in cordless nailers, other than blowing stuff off, I never turn my air compressor on anymore. The need for an air compressor in the shop is drifting away. This is a lightweight tool that has plenty of power to drive pin nails into all different types of wood. Several other battery nailers I have used in the past have a significant delay from when the trigger is pulled to when the nail shoots out but I didn't notice a delay at all with this. With the LED light and edge guide it is super easy to see where you are nailing and to get the nail in the right spot every time.

I always wait a year before posting a review on a tool to make sure to give a good quality review of the product. So, I'm doing so for this pin nailer. This pin nailer is fantastic! I've shot around 10,000 pins since I have purchase it, from everything like MDF to hardwood maple moulding. This stuff is fantastic to use when doing hardwood accents for desks, cabinetry and the likes. The pins go a long way in securing your molding to a surface after gluing and before clamping. I have also used this quite a bit on non-base, wall moldings. They really go a long way if you are making your own plinths as well, to help secure them together without the deep gouge of a nail head and easily covered by paint or caulk, instead of filling large heads with puddy. This pin nailer is probably the best and most non-evasive nailer I have ever used and it is a god send especially on pressure sensitive moldings like MDF. All in all, I'm very happy with my product and I have just purchased a brad nailer to replace my old battery and gas guzzler Paslode nailer. I'm hoping that product will serve me well in the arena of base moldings and such.

My third Ryobi nail gun, have the 15 and 18 g already and wanted to add a 23 g pin nailer to the arsenal. Like it's predecessors this gun does not let you down. Full of useful features and no air hose slowing you down. More than enough power to drive the nails all the way in every time, no jams yet! great for holding things together while waiting for the glue to dry without ripping up your wood. Not only recommend this pin nailer, but all the Ryobi Airstrike nailers. This is a tool only buy, other words no nails, batteries or a charger.

This tool has made finishing decorative wood pieces much faster and easier. Using the pin nailer leaves a much smaller and easier to mask hole. This is a fast nailer, with a comfortable grip, and my favorite feature is the stop with the ruler. It allows me to get a very accurate and consistent line of nailing creating a cleaner nicer finish.

I suppose it was an anomaly but mine did not work at all. It fired one pin and then would not fire any more. It shot, but nothing came out. Therefore, I returned it. I have an 18 gauge and it works fine. I'll give it another try sometime maybe mine was just defective.

Previous to this I bought the Makita pin nailer and returned it due to lack of power. This Ryobi has enough power to sink the largest pins every time. I never use my Grex anymore as it's super easy to just grab this and sink pins when needed. I own the Ryobi 15 guage and the crown stapler and they are all very good.

Never been disappointed by HD or Ryobi...until now. Bought this on 8/4/19, it worked great for 2 days, then only the lights worked. I returned it, got another one and now this one is doing the same thing. Tried to return it again, now they want me to take it to their tool rental and give them $20 to "take a look at it". I didn't buy the 2yr extended REPLACEMENT warranty, just so these clowns could charge me $20 to "take a look at it". I bought the REPLACEMENT warranty to REPLACE it if it fails. I have Ryobi tools I bought in 2003 that I still use today, including a flashlight that's never needed a bulb replaced, but they can't build a nail Gun that lasts more than a couple of months! Highly disappointing!

excellent addition to the value priced battery driven 18 and over gauge nail guns. Mine jammed when I first tried it. Adding a very fine Teflon oil cleared that issue for good. Very handy to have cordless nailers.
