Holy Mother of Nuclear Saws...This thing is awesome! As an avid user of Ryobi Cordless, I could not wait to try this saw. First test right out of the box was a 4x4 on a 45% cut. The saw ramps up to full speed...quieter than most saws...push down is easy...and like soft butter, rips through the 4x4. Yeah....I like it. Ran the saw all day with no issues or disappointments. Can't wait for the new rumored 9ah batteries...that will make this saw even better. This tool makes 33, 18v Ryobi tools in my collection. Looking at the cooler next.
I wish this tool could have existed years ago when I think of all the places I have needed to cut some boards where power was not easily accessible. This saw replaced my 12" beast dewalt saw. This is definitely not as powerful, however, I put it to the test right away and figured a scrap piece of 4x6 I had around would slow it down... Nope. Cut right through it no problem. Even the laser was perfect right out of the box. I'll put a better blade on it in time but to be honest the one mounted to it is just fine as well. Seems to go forever and I'm only using dinky 2ah batteries not the hi capacity they recommend. Great job Ryobi. Now where's that 36v table saw. No complaints.
Roybi is in the sweet spot with their newest miter saw

Roybi ONE+ONE 18-Volt 10 in. Cordless Brushless Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw (Tool Only) is a good value that runs on their 18-volt battery system. Getting away from the cord for these tools is a good idea because for many you set them up, make a couple of cuts and take them down. For those who use it this way with the hassle of running a cord and looking for an outlet things just go faster. For others its a miter saw with plenty of capability to last the day. It can chop cut twelve inch wide boards with its sliding action or 3 1/2-inches thick and has either sided bevel capability at various angles for crown molding eliminating having to change the direction of the stock. The fence isn't as high as the corded saw version, but does the job. I really like how substantial it is over my other older one. The saw is very much their corded version in layout of controls and features. It uses instead two batteries located above the motor behind the blade. This is a good balanced place for the weight. Ryobi is not the first company to use two batteries to solve the need for more power to run larger tools and is backward battery compatible. They recommend their larger batteries which makes sense. I have the new 4-Ah Lithium+ (P122's) that worked fine had plenty of power. Aside from that most of what you've seen on the corded version, controls knobs, are the same.
I have a DeWalt work stand and attached a set of rail mounts for this saw. For those that have this common stand the saw fits perfectly. In spite of its size this saw is lighter at about 35 pounds than my old one and easy to handle when moving it once you lock down the sliding bar at 45 degrees. Before I used it for the first time as recommended, I checked the truness of the factory settings and they were spot on. Should mention the saw is well protected in its shipping box which took a beating. I've been cutting some 2x4's, 1x2's and wide boards with no problems. The bevel feature is accurate and locks down tight. The sliding action is smooth without any slop and the indents in the base are solid, too. The lock down is easy to set and fast. What I like is how the saw is made, aluminum machined castings for most of it that gives a quality seen in better table saws. Even the fence is not skimped on or the work hold down clamp, all solidly done. I have several Ryobi tools and haven't been disappointed. This is a solid miter saw that deserves serious consideration at a good price.

We bought this saw 3 weeks ago for use in our robotics/maker space shop. The advantage of being uncorded afforded us the ability to move it around the shop on a wheeled table to where it's needed. We love its horsepower with two extended-capacity One+ batteries! It cuts through our 1" square aluminum tube all day: nice clean edges, and much better for our purposes than the 9" bandsaw we were using. We changed the blade for a Diablo 84 tooth non-ferrous blade, since we're cutting aluminum, and it does great with that. Also worth noting: the product description doesn't mention it, but this saw DOES HAVE a LASER alignment function that is super-handy.
Ryobi keeps upping the anti. Once again they hit a homerun. I know a lot of other tool makers have "new and improved" batteries and change the battery platform and even roybi has a new 40v setup and that made me nervous a bit when I saw that come out, but I think this shows the 18v are not going anywhere and I'm glad of that. This works on two batteries generating 36v and I dont need a new setup (I have a lot tied up in 18v) I am not intrerested in starting over with a whole new platform I have the old blue ryobi miter non sliding saw and it still works fine for small jobs and uses the same battery as this after about 15 years. However this is a master piece, the blade was square and true right out of the box and the run time with 2, 4ah batteries was longer than I needed for a pretty large trim job, the brushless motors takes some getting used to they start a little slower and sound a little different but the run time is amazing. Before I got this one I had seen some complaints about having to put this together but I was running in about 15 minutes after opening the box, the package was nice and secure for shipping because my local store was sold out temporarily this was a plus because even though home Depot would have taken care of any damage I didn't want the hassle. I absolutely recommend this saw to anyone needing a high quality tool.
ONE+ONE 18-Volt 10 in. Cordless Brushless Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw
This Brushless Sliding Compound Miter Saw is exactly what I was looking for to use in my Solar powered shed workshop. But keep in mind this particular kit is the Miter Saw only. It does not come with the two one + compact Lithium 18 volt batteries needed to operate the saw and it does not have a battery charger either. I was lucky enough to find the batteries on sale at Home Depot a twin pack for $99.00 plus tax. The charger and regular battery bundle will set you back another $ 49.97 plus tax. Or the charger by itself only is $39.00 plus tax. With that said I must say the unit works great. Very portable that it can be easily taken with you if you are working on another site other than your shop or home. I own many Ryobi tools but this is the first 0ne + tool that I have tried and I see that there are about 50 of them already to choose from so I am sure I will be seeking additional tools in the future. that are compatable with the 18 volt batteries. I have also the 40 volt system that powers most of my cordless yard tools. All of them are exactly what I expected. Great Company and fantastic tools.. Keep them coming Ryobi. And thank you and also Home Depot for providing such quality merchandise.

Bought it because I do a lot of mission work where I don't always have who had Electricity . 2 batteries lasted most of the day I'm building a 45' long wheelchair ramp with 3 guys using it off and on all day long.
Plenty of power, I have it mounted to the Ryobi miter saw stand. Ran all day on two 4ah batteries replacing rotted roof decking and fascia board. easy set up was square right out if the box. Comes with a 40 tooth general purpose blade that I will be replacing with a Diablo precision blade soon. I was so happy with this that my son in law inherited my 10" electric Ryobi miter saw. I definitely recommend this one!
