  • Blade wont spin
  • November 23, 2019

I got this for Christmas in 2018 and have not had a chance to use it until this weekend (November 22nd 2019) and the blade will not keep spinning. It is sporadic and just stops completely at random. It mostly will not even start to rotate (the motor is not engaging either). When I take the blade off it seemed to run just fine, then all of a sudden it would not run with the blade off either. The batteries are fully charged and are the 4 amp models. I am furious and have no idea what to do or if I can even get it replaced since it has been almost a year. Has anyone had this problem? Also the button for the laser, should that turn the laser on and off? Mine just turns the laser on and it remains on unless I pull the batteries out.

This was an absolutely terrible tool. It was extremely underpowered even with 2 batteries I did a few test cuts with fully charged 4 amp hour batteries. Overnight the saw discharged the batteries and I couldn't work on my project the next day. It takes 2 hours to charge the twin 4 amp hour batteries

I think the reason I won't recommend it, is because the P107 batteries I bought didn't last as long as I read they would. They were good for about 40 cuts on 2X10's. Other then that it was great.

No assembly required other than attaching the dust bag and the removable fence. The saw would of been nicer if it had the ability of a dual power source.

  • 800 cuts with P194 batteries
  • January 21, 2018

Returned because 800 cuts would be great, except they don’t sell the P194 battery in the US and Ryobi refuses to say when or if it will be released.
