[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a few weeks ago for a medium size job with the intention of using it in the future on bigger jobs. Pros: The standard Ryobi warranty. A built in work light is always handy in plumbing situations. One handed operation vs a manual is fantastic Cons: The tool is a bit long (aboit 11.75" bare). Overall length with even a stubby/low profile battery is 13". Length with a standard battery is about 13.75". This design makes it tricky to get into some tight spots which are common with plumbing (especially old work). If a future variant could have a 90° head or even a compact version, they would be welcomed additions.

It is a bit heavy on your belt but it makes it easy to move up on a ladder safely, but the indicators and this tool has been a great addition to our collection. We work in in MEP and are working to achieve custom wood projects.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great tool for everyday plumbers makes crimping connections a breeze comes with an extremely simple way to make sure your tool is calibrated correctly. A little heavy on the belt loop which makes it a little unpractical to carry that way for long periods of time but it does become convenient for temporary holding periods when climbing ladders getting into tight spaces or for those few minutes you may need to put it down, it does give you an easier reach having it close to the hip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pinch ring tool is great. I like how easy it is to install plastic pipes. This tool make this job so much easier. I am older and some times struggle with the hand squeeze tools. This works so much better. Also, getting into tight places this tool is better. All around this Ryobi tool is an improvement well worth the purchase.

This is a great tool. I'd say it is the best way to make PEX B connections. It is fast and makes quick work of joining PEX. Unlike PEX A expansion tools, you don't have to swap out heads for different pipe sizes. It is about a quarter of the price of the cordless PEX A expansion tools. That being said, I still think PEX A expansion with a Milwaukee or Dewalt is overall the best method for joining PEX, but this Ryobi gives a very strong alternative for a much lower tooling cost.

We are a licensed plumbing company and have spent a lot of money on the watts one hand crimping tools ove the past few years. The watts Crimper quality seems to have diminished because it can’t seem to handle the 1” clamp size anymore and breaks as soon as a month or 2 of use. We inverted in 2 of the new Ryobi pex crimpers and have been super pleased with the performance. Easy to use and all around good quality makes this a great buy. You’ll need to buy a battery and charger of course.

We’ve been breaking a lot of the one hand watts manual crimpers on 1” size. These should do the trick.

Awesome tool! Does what it's made to do with no issues. I purchased the Apollo hand tool and it broke after 3 clamps. Returned and got this! Highly Recommend!!!!!

So much easier than using a manual crimping tool !!!! Now we need Ryobi to come out with a 18v Pro Press tool also

A little hard to hold it steady until it's finished, especially when the clamp is on a vertical line where the clamp might slip at the beginning of the process. I wish the design would wrap around the pipe or something like that but it would likely be much more expensive to accommodate different pex pipe sizes. I'm generally happy with it and would buy it again.

One of my best tools

I bought it to finish a hunting cabin project in the woods.

I have the hand crimp tool that is fine for the 1/2 and even 3/4 clamps. It will work on the 1" clamps with a lot of effort, but this Ryobi powered clamp tool is WAY BETTER! I installed a new irrigation system with 1" PEX and this tool made the job fast and effortless. 5 stars!

Paired it with 4ah battery and the tool got pretty heavy when operating on your back in crawl space. It gave consistent and successful crimps from 3/8 to 3/4"

The tool was perfect, if working with PEX it’s a must have.

It’s nice and convenient but it runs slow.

I’m a 62-year-old woman and I do a lot of my own work. Doing plumbing and with the pex handtool was a challenge for me Because the grip was so big to get it started. This tool is a game changer. This tool makes it feel like you're cheating. It is very easy to use. Beats the heck out of the crimping pliers.

Little difficult ordering it online but walked into the store and the young person that helped me was able to order it for me. Give me a receipt and I was able to track it. The tool works incredibly well. Has helped out a lot at home Depot and the shipping process. They were incredible. Thank you!
