This leaf blower is the most powerful cordless unit that I have used. It is even more powerful than some of the corded electric blowers that I have. I like the turbo switch as It gives me two speeds to work with. Normal speed for close work and turbo for mass blowing. It is strong enough to remove wet heavy leaves too. This unit is easy to carry and control and of course there is no cord to deal with. Lighter than a gas powered unit and no motor or fuel to contend with.
The battery is a 4AH which has plenty of power and lasts a reasonable time. Of course if you use turbo a lot then the time is shortened. The supplied charger is different from my other Ryobi 40 volt equipment. The transformer is in the cord and the base is smaller but it fits all Ryobi 40V batteries and has a USB charging port to boot.
The only con about this Ryobi is it is not good for fine directional work like gutters etc. It has too large of a tube. But it was not designed for this. Then I pull out my other Ryobi leaf blower.

Used it twice so far. Easy to use and more powerful then a jet pack. It is on the heavy side because of the big battery. Does the work of my expensive gas blower. My only suggestion is to include an optional extender to get the air closer to the ground...similar to most blowers.

The RYOBI 110 MPH 500 CFM 40-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Variable-Speed Jet Fan Leaf Blower is a great improvement over the previous 40-Volt version and obviously far out shadows the 18v Ryobi blower. It packs lots of power in the normal mode and has an added force in turbo mode. The battery for this blower is a little on the heavy side but the location that Ryobi placed the trigger balances the blower perfectly, so the added weight of the larger battery is negligible. I would say the average run time in normal mode is about 25 to 30 minutes and obviously less in turbo mode depending on how much you use the Turbo function. The unit is not brushless, but the motor is efficient and sounds smooth, only on turbo do you hear a high pitched whine. The average battery charge time appears to be about 2 to 2.5 hours. All in all, in my opinion it’s a great blower. Much improved over previous versions.

This works amazing! I almost didn't get it because of all the bad reviews. But don't believe it. I used it with the 4.0 Ah batter for about 30 minutes and had only used about 1/2 the battery. I had plenty of power without using the turbo button. But the turbo button is noticeably louder (and annoying). I didn't feel like the turbo added much, but it was fine without it. I used it to blow leaves, seeds, and grass clippings off of my driveway, walkways, and deck. It even blew away some of the debris left from last fall (but not the stuff really caked on and wet). It's lightweight and well balanced, even with the battery. Without the turbo, it's not (IMO) that loud. I'm so glad I bought this. PS - I'm not getting anything for submitting this review. I'm submitting this review because the bad reviews almost scarred me away from it. And I'm glad they didn't. Because I'm very happy with it.
I actually bought two blowers that day . One was the old style one the new style . I wish I could have found two of the old type .I do like the old type much better . The new type charger and the big end on the blower are the things I don’t like plus to me it has a higher pitch on high speed .

I have used this blower for about 6 weeks. Dislikes: The air shaft falls off when using hyper-speed. Battery runs down too quickly. Likes: I like not having to drag cords around with me. It is lightweight and easy to handle.

Purchased this blower as an upgrade to a Rybio I already own. In order to get the max wind speed you need to continually hold down the button and It does this only in spurts disappointing to say the least

First unit squealed & screamed loud enough that neighbor two houses down across the street came over to see what it was. Returned it (easily, thanks HD), 2nd also squeals nearly as loudly. Putting off 2nd 65mi roundtrip to HD to replace. Not better than old 40411 40V blower I wore out. Disappointed.

I waited until the leaves were in full drop mode to write this review. I initially bought it to remove stuck grass on the driveway and sidewalk after mowing, which it works well at and met my expectations (even worked on the pea gravel the city put down that keeps ending up in our driveway and yard). But what I really love is how quick and easy it is to just grab it and blow the leaves out of the landscape and walkways before I mow (Honda HRX also bought at HD). I have an Echo gas powered backpack blower that I like for bigger jobs, but for quick cleanups with plenty of power, this really works well.
Very happy with the purchase and highly recommend.
