Hard to put together. Possible got a damaged return bc the hole wasn’t circular to out together. Then the top piece kept popping out which was super skethcy. Blade spinning and falling 8 feet from above my head. I used it on 4 limbs and the put it away. Going back to old school blade tied to long rope. This coming apart is too dangerous when its above me

The Pole bent with the 1st use on the power unit section. Straightened it as best I could, and it bent again on the 2nd use.

Poor directions. Boggs down easily. Chain jumped off after a few minutes of use. Even when clamped tightly the end would twist out of place. Leaked oil all over the floor. And other things I cant remember at this time. Too bad I missed my window to return the item. And they tried to trick me into leaving a good review via email. See photo below. Rrrrrrrrrrrr!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bought this pole saw to cut some of the broken tree branches a couple of weeks ago. I was able to complete entire project with this pole saw within an 1/2 hour by cutting 4 tree branches with single charge. I am very happy to buy this product because of product comes with powerful 40v and 2.6ah battery, product warranty, no maintenance with a good price. It is easy to assemble and use this product also good customer support if you have any questions. I highly recommend this product and really a good investment.

Purchased to trim tree limbs on property, especially some crepe myrtles that had never been pruned before we moved in. Chain saw performed great throughout the entire process of trimming back all 5 trees, plus some other trees as well. Battery life is also good, but I have a 2nd battery from my Ryobi hedge trimmers, so no real down time at all. Heads up: 1) as described in the operator's manual, the chain IS going to stretch out, especially over the first 20-30 minutes of use. I kept a small, thin flat-head screwdriver handy to clean out the saw dust from the hex-opening for tightening the chain - otherwise it is difficult to insert the small end of the hex-wrench into the opening (see included pic). Of course don't forget to loosen up the chain cover screw a little bit before tightening the chain. 2) also make sure to keep oil in the tank and sharpen up the chain when it's needed. There are 2 links on the chain that are facing in the same direction, so if you start with them, it's easy to tell when you've finished sharpening the chain.

Used this Pole Saw on our tree in our front yard cutting branches 6 inches in diameters or better with no problem. It took only 2 charges to cut what we wanted off the tree but took us 3 days two clean up the branches. Although this unit is a Pole Saw there are many attachments that can be added to the power unit for example: ( Rotor Tiller, Weed Wacker ) and more.

First I love Ryobi stuff but DO not buy this expand it type of pole saw. Ryobi make a pole saw that screws together that works fantastic but this one is the expand it type and the button will not keep the saw head from twisting while cutting no matter how tight you turn the clamp!! This saw will make you cuss in three languages! As you can see in the picture below I finally pop riveted it together to permanently attach it just so I could use it. See picture below.

After about four uses, the chain cover bolt snapped and the adjuster bent and jambed. This was on a one inch branch. Very disappinted in this. Since i can not currently return it, I’ll have to replace it just to finish my job. I’ll be returning ALL my Ryobi 40 volt tools. Can’t depend on these even for a homeowner

It worked! Cutting very hard and dried evergreen limbs overhead. The battery and motor is in the handle near you, so you are not lifting the motor overhead like in the other designs. Auto oilier is working great to make the chain live longer. Battery charge is outlasting the home owner endurance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this saw to keep up with the minor trimming around the yard. I have a 16” chainsaw, hand trimmers and loopers but this really reduces all effort for the small stuff. Battery last long enough for most jobs and tackles most small branches without difficulty. Great addition to my collection of tools. The only thing you need to have on hand is bar and chain oil, DO NOT run the saw without it.

This little saw never disappoints me. I have cut dozens of huge (7-10 inch) limbs and thousands of smaller limbs (3-7 inch). I am constantly in awe of how well this little chain just eats through wood in no time flat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool is definitely a must have for those who has trees. I’ve trimmed my tree in the back with no problem, I love how it automatically feeds oil on the blade during the use. Easily my number 1 tool in the garage.

Worked excellent. Worked even better after it broke in a little. Definitely recommend. I am absolutely sold on ryobi's 40 volt tools.

Purchased a year ago and didn't have much use. However this spring I realized I needed to take down 4 mature mulberry trees that were damaging my garage. 6-9 inch diameter, and 20-30 feet tall. Didn't want to get out the big heavy gasser so I grabbed a battery and went to town. Never threw the chain. Shafts are straight and never shifted or came loose. I was completely impressed. And I only went through maybe 5, 4ah battery charges! It's a beast and worth every penny.

Does the job. Met expectations. Pick up in store was poor because of staff shortages.

We love this 40v saw and bought a 2nd one.

The saw is awesome. Unfortunately the reservoir for the chain oil arrived cracked and leaks badly.

This saw works well. However, the bar/chain oil contines to leak all over my garage floor when I finish using it and put it away. The lid to the oil canister is on tight. I'm not sure where it's leaking from, but this is bad!

Battery fault (won't recharge) after 1 use!

I returned this pole saw because it didn't work right out of the box. I purchased a different brand.

This saw is very easy to assemble and use right out of box. Very handy for high limbs.

Works excellent for trimming smaller branches off trees. Exactly what I needed.
