Very adjustable.
I use Rain Bird sprinklers pretty much exclusively. There may be a few leftovers out there in the yard somewhere but all I get now is rainbird. This 360 degree 4 inch professional pop-up sprinkler is really awesome. As I will show in my pictures, it has directions on it for how to set the left spray edge, the pattern type and the distance it sprays. All the Rain Bird are built with excellent quality. I would fully recommend any model that will fit your particular needs.

Rain bird the best
I got this sprinkler head a few weeks ago. I got to see it work just before the cold weather hit, and then i had to blow out the sprinkler lines. It was super easy to hook up! You only need a crescent wrench or just a regular end wrench. The old sprinkler top can just be screwed off. I would suggest putting teflon tape on the pipe before screwing on the new head.

Always need new sprinkler heads
Always need new sprinkler heads-the old was a three inch unit, this is a two inch. We used risers to elevate to the right height. The dual spray pattern gives flexibility to be at corners or half yard locations. Water pressure and air in lines affects how quickly a unit will pop up and be at full strength-no fault of the unit. This one had no issues and worked right away.

Easy to adjust
This sprinkler will replace a sprinkler that is leaking at the top. It is nice that we can open it to 270 degrees. It is at the corner of a raised bed watering the grass on the outside. The instructions are easy to follow and on the side of the sprinkler. My husband showed me, and the most difficult part is pulling the top of the sprinkler up and that was not difficult.

Quality Sprinkler
This is a quality pop up sprinkler. Although plastic, it is heavy duty and reinforced in critical areas such as the neck to attach the riser pipe. The pop up rises a full 4" to get the spray pattern up and over either tall grass of ground cover. Sprinkler is easily adjustable and includes easy to follow instructions with pictures to get your spray pattern just right. I have several of this type of sprinkler and I recommend it.

Love It!
I have used several of the Rain Bird products over the years and I really like them. They are affordable (i.e. reasonably priced), durable, and great quality. Since I have a sprinkler system, I end up replacing one or two pop-up sprinklers every year due to some event (like the lawn guys breaking them, for example). This particular one is a ½" size (most common) and is 0-360 degrees of pattern so you can adjust it to whatever pattern you need. It has up to 15 feet of spray distance. I simply put this in, adjusted it, and it was up and running...super easy. It's not my first and won't be my last! I've tried some other brands but ended up preferring Rain Bird at the end of the day.

Replacing Rain Bird spray head is easy
I have been using Rain Bird spray head and accessories for twenty years. They work great and the quality is good. I do make mistakes, like running over a sprinkler head with a lawnmower on a low setting, or, drop a large rock on the top. To change the sprinkler head, just use wide pliers and grab the outside and unscrew. Then put the new sprinkler head back on clockwise. Good products Rain Bird.

Good pop-up sprinkler, but needs sufficient water pressure
We use a number of different models of Rain Bird pop-up sprinklers for different applications. All of them are excellent at what they do, and I think this one would if it had adequate water pressure. While the water pressure at entry to our house is 60 psi, unfortunately the irrigation line that this one was to be used on has a number of other fairly high-volume sprinkler heads on it, so the end of the line probably has fairly low pressure but I have no way to measure it. While the sprinkler head says that it can work as low as 15 psi with 11 ft coverage (15 ft coverage at 30-70 psi), the problem I encountered was that the head leaks around the pop-up shaft if the pressure isn’t adequate to push the pop-up all the way up to seal (see photos). All of the other aspects of the sprinkler are great. It is easy to adjust the angle of coverage and the distance (which I tried turning down to compensate for the low pressure.) It is clearly a well-built and easy-to-use product. If we could have tested it at higher pressure and the leak went away, I would have given it 5 stars. But not knowing whether it seals well under normal conditions I feel I can only give it 4 stars.

Rain Bird 4 inch 1/4 pattern pop-up sprinkler head
Over the years, I’ve installed and replaced over 100 sprinkler heads, from many different manufacturers. Every one of them was a pain to replace. I’ve learned that Rain Bird manufacturers the best quality heads. If your irrigation system uses well water, like mine does, you’re aware of the minerals in the water building up on the wiper and stem causing failure of the head to retract, then the lawn guys breaking it off. Rain Bird seeks to resolve this problem by improving the shaft wiper and installing a heavier retraction spring (see photo). This model 1804 also has an improved pressure regulator and a 90 degree dual spray 4 inch nozzle, with an adjustable spray distance of 11 to 15 feet.

Good products
I hate to admit that no matter how idiot-proof they make the instructions, I will have it pointed in the wrong direction and end up getting soaking wet. This can be adjusted from 0 to 360, so perfect for any flower bed near a structure. I have a one that used to rotate, but I think this may work better for the area. It has a maximum spray of 15'. I have plenty of Rainbird products, so I know it will be fine.

I hate to admit that I havent installed this yet. No matter how idiot-proof they make the instructions, I will have it pointed in the wrong direction and end up getting soaking wet. This little guy is going down by the street, where my current head is broken. It is a 180, so should keep the street dry; maximum spray of 15'. I have plenty of Rainbird products, so I know it will be fine...at least until my neighbor's handyman runs it over!

RAIN-BIRD 1800 90 DEGREE DUAL SPRAY SPRINKLER HEAD 4in. pop-up
I have this new Rain-Bird 1800 series 4 inch pop-up 90 degree dual spray pattern sprinkler head to try out. I have several Rain-Bird sprinkler heads in my yard now, replacing heads that was installed in 1976. I have not used this dual spray head before, I can see it will help by dividing the spray pattern into two equal spray patterns getting rid of the misty spray at the head; it will give a better spray pattern at the head. Being the first week of November and my sprinklers are turned off and drained for the winter I will wait until spring to install

Great Sprinkler
This is a high quality sprinkler, I like this sprinkler because it is straightforward in design and easy to install and adjust. The sprinkler is plastic but it is very solid and well made. The sprinkler is adjustable with just a small flat blade screwdriver, no fancy tools or extra pieces needed to adjust the water pattern. The sprinkler puts out a good amount of water in a short time therefore, reducing watering time. I would recommend this sprinkler

Great Sprinkler
Picked this up to replace a broken/defective unit. This one is a dual spray version (helps prevent dry spots), reaches up to 15 feet and has a 90 degree pattern. It has a 1/2 inch connection and is pressure regulating (which helps stop misting). It's a very nice sprinkler actually. It's easy to adjust and install. I've dealt with various brands of these over the years and I have to say that I generally prefer Rain Bird. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product.

0-360 Degrees of Spray
I have been replacing my worn out fixed pattern sprinklers with new ones where the spray pattern can be adjusted as needed. The Rain Bird 4" Professional Pop-Up Sprinkler was a perfect replacement. The spray pattern can be adjust from 0 to 360 degree by twisting the adjustment on the nozzle. The spray can be up to 15 feet by adjusting the top screw. My current pop-up sprinkler are 16 years old and the pop-up are getting stuck and not retracting fully. Rain Bird is a quality brand and the pop-up has a heavy duty spring that should last me many years.

Full 360
We are about done with a rainy spell here in southeast Florida and my lawn never looked so good. Upgrading to the Rain Bird 4 in. Pop-Up PRS Spray Head is the plan after learning how much better they are compared to my existing sprinkler heads. By regulating the water pressure at each head if your water pressure is too high the head will only allow the correct pressure preventing misting and saving water.

Great Sprinkler
This new Rain Bird 1800 sprinkler is labeled professional and that is saves up to 50% more water. I can’t comment on the 50% water savings since there is no way to measure that. The housing looks the same as other RB 1800s (see pic). The label is plastic, so maybe it will last longer than the paper ones that disintegrated underground. The nozzle is an adjustable pattern nozzle. It looked and seemed to spray similar to other adjustable spay nozzles I have. They do work well in some places on my lawn. Having said that it was a great design, so it really didn’t need changing. I am happy with it.

Great Sprinklers
These Rain Bird 4” sprinklers have a new plastic label that says they are professional. They are nice, but the hosing seems the same as other 1800 housings I have been using for years. The nozzle was a dual pattern style with a quarter circle pattern. (U15Q) I have used Rain Bird dual pattern nozzles before. This one seems about the same as my older ones. Having said that, it is still a great sprinkler. The dual pattern isn’t for every situation. It works well on some places on my lawn

180 Pattern
The Rain Bird 1804 Dual Spray Half Pattern has two orifices in the side of the pop-up nozzle for a continuous stream. U-Tube also has a video that explains the PRS spray head principle and saves water by preventing excess misting with too much water pressure. My sprinklers are the heads that sit flush with a cement donut and are blocked by tall grass so I'll need to do some digging.

Excellent product
An excellent must have sprinkler head for the yard. Durable and safe to use on the yard whereby heavy foot traffic is common and will prevent injury due to its smooth and rounded head. It has a heavy duty spring that will retract and hide the nozzle after it's use. I have replaced all my copper sprinkler heads because of corrosions from mineral deposits and the nozzle doesn't retract anymore. This is a must have for the yard that will last for a long time and to ensure safe and peace of mind.

Pop-Up
I wish I had these Rain Bird 1804 Dual Spray 4 in. Pop-Up PRS Spray Heads when putting in my system many years ago. I used the basic sprinkler head that is adjustable but cannot regulate the pressure like these pop-ups and also having to trim the grass short around the heads. Once installed the pop-up is adjustable to the area that you need to water.

Rain Bird 1800 Series
The Rain Bird pop up sprinklers are considered the number one selling sprinkler in the word. I agree and my yard is proof. The 1800 series are easy to install (no tools required) and come in adjustable patterns. For example, 0-360 degree covering up to 15 feet; 180 degrees, covering up to 15 feet. All the directions you need are described on the unit itself in a step by step format.
