Simple reliable sprinkler spray head that provides great performance
This is a simple and reliable sprinkler spray head the provides great performance. Rain Bird is a trusted brand in the world of sprinkler spray heads and this one certainly did not disappoint. It is made of high quality plastic. The installation is pretty straightforward. The instructions on how to adjust direction and pattern, together with expected coverage distance for common ranges of water pressure are clearly printed on the unit itself.

Good idea to ensure even watering.
I picked out this Rainbird 4-inch professional sprinkler to compare it to the other Rainbird 4-inch sprinklers that I use in my yard at the present time. I was always unsure of the coverage closer to the sprinkler head because of the fan pattern. I set this one up on a test stand that supplies water to only one sprinkler head. I am on a water well, so the pressure varies between 40 and 55 psi and this Rainbird head has a pressure regulator built into it, so it always has 30 psi to the sprayer, and it does not vary up and down with the well pressure. This works very well to keep the spray pattern even and the dual level spray gets a very even coverage when I water the lawn. Looks like I am going to need more of these for my touchy areas.

Work like a charm and SAVES WATER!
Rain Bird 1804 Dual Spray Half Pattern 4 in Pop-Up PRS Spray Head I live in Florida so our irrigation systems run most of the year so I am in the process of switching out some my old sprinkler heads with the Rainbird PRS model. Rainbird irrigation heads are very reliable, easy to adjust and they save water. The hardest part is replacing the in ground heads where you have to dig around the old sprinkler heads to expose the riser or adapter. Once you remove the old one you just replace the plumbers tape around the riser or adapter and screw on the sprinkler head. The Rainbird PRS half pattern is perfect along the side of a house, walkway or patio where you don’t want to waste water spraying the walls or sidewalk. The nice thing about the PRS model is it keeps the spray low to the ground and prevents misting and water waste from blowing wind. These 4 inch pop ups can reach 8 to 15 feet and the pattern is 180 degrees, there are 72 slots every 5 degree. The reach and water flow are adjustable ( watch a video for a demonstration if you haven’t ever adjusted a sprinkler head, they are very helpful). I have now replaced about 6 of my sprinkler heads with the Rainbird PRS model and they seem to be working great. Even though I have a competitor smart controller I recommend using them Rainbird PRS Pop Up Sprinkler heads.

Rain Bird 1804 Dual Spray Half Patter 4 in. Pop Up Head
This item was sent to me as a free item for me to evaluate. The item came well packaged, and it is just as described. I have mostly Rain Bird sprinkler heads in my yard. They are reliable and the spray pattern is very good. This sprinkler head was no exception. The 180 degree pattern is very good, consistent and even. No gaps. One thing about this head is it is different from the ones I have in my yard, in that it has a dual spray. There is a spray hole at the top of the pop up and another smaller hole below that which allows the pattern to be much more even. I really like this design and it is something I will probably look for to buy when I change some of the sprinkler heads in my yard. I really could find no fault in this sprinkler head, A very good design.

Works great every time
I replaced a sprinkler head that I had run over with my lawn mower. Installation was very simple. To adjust the spray width you simply twist the head. I played with this a little bit to test it out and the water flowed evenly when open to 180 degrees. I ended up settling on something closer to 90. Adjusting the distance is just as easy with a screwdriver.

Nice coverage
I easily installed the half pattern Rain Bird pop-up sprinkler and it provides better spray coverage than the one it is replacing. Installing was easy and I just unscrewed the old pop-up sprinkler and put this new sprinkler on. The new sprinkler is also going to be more efficient with water usage, which is an additional benefit. The half spray pattern is adjustable and gives great spray coverage.

Excellent Pop-Up Spray Head
The RAIN BIRD DUAL SPRAY HALF PATTERN 2 IN. POP-UP PRS SPRAY HEAD is an excellent Pop-Up Spray Head. This spray head is easy to install and easy to service. The body of the spray head measures approximately 4 inches long and 2 inches wide. The spring-loaded pop-up spray head is easily unscrewed for maintenance or repair. The spray nozzle has dual openings and can be replaced. This is another fine Rain Bird product and I definitely do recommend this Pop-Up spray head.

Adjustable
We had a geyser in the front yard when the irrigation system blew a spray head. I went to You Tube to learn how to fix the leak, then to Home Depot to get the Rain Bird replacement spray heads. I needed the 180 degree model, they are also available for other configurations. I dug down to expose the pipes and removed the damaged spray head. The Rain Bird fit in perfectly and was installed in less than five minutes. This is definitely a DYI project .

Easy replacement
I live in a fast growing community that installs irrigation systems at 40 new homes per day. The result is the least expensive parts are used to keep costs down, thus there is a high failure rate. The Rain Bird pop-up spray head is far superior to the original equipment. I had never repaired an irrigation system before, but following the directions was easy . I bought spare parts to be ready for next time.

Great Rain Bird head for coverage
Received this Rain Bird 1804 Dual spray Quarter pattern pop-up along with a Rain Bird 1802 Dual spray Half pattern pop-up to replace some sprinkler heads in my bed and lawn. I have a Rain Bird 6 station controller and many Rain Bird sprinkler heads spread throughout my lawn. I have other dual heads and find that they give me the coverage that I need much better than the single spray. I will be replacing one in a scrub bed and one in my front lawn. At this time (Jan 2022) I am not able to show them in action as it is 31° outside and will be in the high 20s for the next few weeks.

great sprinkler pop-up
The Rainbird 1804 dual spray quarter pattern pop-up is a nice up grade from my older sprinkler heads. It installs easily like all the others, but the difference is the dual spray design of the sprinkler head itself. Normally a sprinkler head tends to put a lot of water at the outer edges of the pattern and the middle receives less, but this head is like having two different heads at once, with one spraying have the distance of the other, which I think gives a more even water pattern.

Trouble free pop-up
I have use rain bird spray heads before, but this 4 inch pop-up with the dual spray half pattern is a marked improvement in an already very good product. I was always concerned that the outer edge of my spray pattern received more water than the inner parts of the spray pattern, but the dual spray is like having 2 sprayers in on spray head with one spray reaching about half of the main spray. It might be too soon to tell, but it looks like the watering is much more even than with the conventional spray head.

Rain Bird is the name for residential irrigation
Rain Bird is the name for residential irrigation. These 4 inch 1804LN heads do the trick for my needs. Don’t forget the LN needs a nozzle attachment which is sold separately. Every 3-4 years I inspect and replace the heads in my yard. I am trying to make sure that everything is leak proof and working as it should. I really like the heads on these sprinklers. They are easier to locate and easy to adjust. Our system was inherited and it’s taken a while to dial it in. I am finally happy with the way things are thanks to Rainbird.

Great features
A quality 2 inch pop up has several adjustments to fit your needs. Adjust how far ir sprays with a turn of a screw. Once you get it set you can turn the pop up to adjust where it sprays. The top had hash marks to tell where the pattern will spray. Fits any standard threaded 1/2 inch pipe without using pipe dope. Very nice construction and built to last. Easy to read instructions.

Rain Bird Pop up
Rain Bird 1804 Dual Spray Quarter Pattern 4 in. Pop-Up PRS Spray Head I have been using Rain Bird sprinkler heads for 20 years. They are good quality and not super expensive. Easy to find at any hardware or big box store. They are easy to adjust and last a long time. I usually only have to replace every two to three years. I love that they flush the spray head at the end of use to keep dirt from clogging the nozzle. I use the quarter spray pattern spray head in areas along the side of my home so I don’t water the neighbor’s yard.

works great with no leaks
It's winter time and it is the perfect time to test and repair the sprinklers for summer as water bills in Southern California are always high. I needed a four inch half spray pattern pop up for the upper retaining wall as the old spray head was partially destroyed by the lawn mower and it only sprays water out one side. Installation was fairly straight forward with digging out the old sprinkler, flushing the line and then on with the new one, no adjustments needed. The new sprinkler feels better made over the old one, with a larger diameter top to help protect from encroaching grass and dirt, plus a dual spray pattern that looks to cover more evenly. So far, so good and ready for summer.

works great and better built
Winter time is here and this is the best time to tune up the sprinklers and valves, plus check for leaks. Needed a four inch quarter pop up for the side of the yard near the retaining wall as the old sprinkler was leaking more water around the seal than what was spraying out the head. Installing was easy, just dug out the old head, removed and flushed the line and on with the new one. The new Rain Bird pop up sprinkler looks and feels better built than the old pop up and works a lot better. Also the larger top on the Rain Bird will hopefully keep the pop up spray head free of grass and dirt. With the water on you can see the dual spray pattern with the Rain Bird and hopefully this will help even out the lawn. Looks and feels better built and has a nice spray pattern, ready for summer.

Well built with a good spray pattern
It is winter time and this is the best time to look for leaks and do repairs on the sprinklers. The old two inch pop up sprinkler was stuck in the down position and had a high rate of leak around the seal when on, time to replace it. The Rain Bird dual spray two inch pop up is great replacement for the old pop up, when comparing the old one to the new Rain Bird you can see the better build quality and feel the thicker material. Once installed and on you can see the dual spray pattern and a more even spray over the old sprinkler head. I also like the wider top on the new sprinkler head that will hopefully help protect the spray head from encroaching grass and dirt getting in the spray head. As for durability, time will tell, but so far so good.

Best yard water system
Rain Bird is the top of the line in the yard sprinkler world. This 2” model has a 180 pattern spray. Made of almost all plastic for a safer yard. East to install on your pipe layout. On a fresh water system install or just a repair and or upgrade some of the heads. This is the easiest and standard unit to install. There are several pattern heads to choose from. You have a FULL pattern. A ½ pattern and a ¼ pattern. They even have a long narrow pattern for like along a side walk grass area. With this choice of spray head, you can be assured of a long life of trouble free watering.

Works great
Unfortunately one of our sprinkler heads got broken again. This one is by a corner and gets frequently broken by neighborhood kids on their bikes. We decided to give the Rain bird 4 inch Professional Series pop up PRS spray head a try to see if they were better than what we had gotten previously. Since it was black we knew it would match the others so no worries there. It boasts up to 50% water savings which if that turns out to be true is awesome, however starting with just one and having just installed it we can’t tell yet. It states on it that it is pressure regulating. We like the fact that is has an adjustable spray pattern because if we like it we can just keep these on hand and use them in multiple areas unlike the specialty ones that are limited patterns. This one has a 0 to 360 degree spray pattern. It sprays up to 15 feet in distance depending on how you have it adjusted and what your water pattern is. You just twist the stem in order to set the left side spray direction. The distance is set by turning the screw clockwise to reduce it up to 25 percent. The pattern is determined by twisting the dial on the nozzle. Once we removed the old sprinkler head we realized we had to replace the plastic riser as well. The generic one we had worked perfectly so it was just a matter of cutting to the desired length and twisting it in, then installing the sprinkler head itself. Once installed we turned the sprinklers on and were able to adjust it to exactly what we needed for our particular yard. It took a few adjustments to get it dialed in to what we needed and where we wanted to spray but then it covered the area perfectly. I did notice it seemed a bit heavier than the ones we had in the past so I am thinking it will withstand more “accidents” before breaking. It feels as if it is designed to last a long time. We are so happy with it that we will be getting more of them. Once again Rain bird has proved to make a quality product!

Super easy to use and adjust
These are my favorite sprinkler heads. First, they tap into your line super easy and then just screw in. Also the head allows for you to change, by hand, the pattern you need up to 360. For my fountain area, i need almost a full circle but don't want the water hitting the fence, so these are perfect for that. I also haven't noticed any leaking from these and their heads can be unscrewed and 'cleared' if there is a clog.

Love Rain Bird Sprinklers
Large areas of grass require lots of irrigation which needs functional sprinklers with adjustable patterns to fit all the areas you are watering. Especially when you live in the high desert of Central Oregon. Rain Bird has numerous adjustable sprinklers with patterns to fit all angles. They are extremely easy to remove, install and adjust if the spray is under or over a certain area. I can always count on them and if plugged are easy too clean dirt out of the tops of them too so they spray out fuller to cover all areas of their reach.

Rain Bird Works
They make numerous patterns and type of Rain Bird Sprinklers. This particular one is an 1804 Dual Spray Quarter Pattern 4 in pop up PRS Spray head. This allows you to water only a quarter area of your lawn like at the edge of your grass on a walk way! They are easy to adjust the spray if it is over or under where you have placed it. They are easy to install and work great to keep my lawn lush and green all summer and fall long.

Super easy to install on current line.
These are great. I use the half pattern near my fence and deck so my deck isn't constantly wet in the spring and summer months. The screw in is foolproof i feel and you can do some SMALL adjustments to the direction, but note these are HALF patterns, they do not do less and def don't do more coverage. Easy to unscrew the top too if it gets clogged.

Review of Rain Bird Adjustable Pattern Pop-up PRS - Easy to adjust
Review of Rain Bird Adjustable Pattern Pop-up PRS Spray Head - Of course, the hardest part of installing this sprinkler is digging out the old one being replaced. Once the old one was removed, ensure the water line is clean and then screw on the new Pop-up . Snug it up but do not over-tighten. After installation, run the irrigation zone to test and adjust the spray pattern, distance and direction. I found that this model of Rain Bird Sprinklers is easier to perform adjustments than the old ones that are currently installed.

Works great
I have been using Rain Bird sprinklers for years! My entire yard is covered using 6 zones and different types of Rain Bird sprinklers depending on the area they are being used for. These work as they are supposed to, and are easy to install and adjust. Bear in mind, your water pressure has to be strong enough for the sprinklers to work properly. If you put to many on a line and don't have enough pressure, your spray area will be less and it possibly will just trickle out. Used properly and with the right water pressure for them to operate, they work great! I would definitely recommend Rain Bird.
