All-in-One
The Rain Bird Adjustable Pattern Rotary Sprinkler Head was the answer to my problem of having the original sprinkler head water my patio. With an adjustable arc pattern, distance, and direction, I was able to address whichever issue presented itself. I deducted one star because the distance adjustment is imperceptible while making the adjustment. A pull-to-flush mechanism is an added bonus. I will be buying more of these to customize the watering patterns of my sprinkler system.

Interesting design.. works well
Rain Bird 13 ft. to 18 ft. Full Circle Rotary Nozzle, Blacks is an interestingly design, innovative and nice little sprinkler nozzle. It really does spray the water upto 16-18ft as described.. It is not so easy to install in the existing rain bird sprinkler. I wish it was made easy too, but it is not too hard either. Overall i recommend this to anyone who wants to try something different than ordinary

Let's call these Rain Bird Generation II for the degree of improvement from their older, standard sprinkler nozzles - they are great and pricey.
Let's call these Rain Bird Generation II for the degree of improvement from their older, standard sprinkler nozzles. While the older units work, they did require a special screwdriver to adjust the spray radius (the arc was preset) and their heavy mist was easier "moved" by the wind. Generation II nozzles successfully improve on both these issues and also reduce the water required by up to 30%. Once screwed atop a delivery tube, you simply set the radius (left to right swing) by pushing down and turning the unit to set this swing. The white line on the nozzle is the left side of the radius. To change the arc (distance of the spray), you turn the knurled knob located on the sprinkler nozzle left or right. To clean the nozzle of debris, you simple lift it up, let the water clear the debris, and then lower it back into place. This new technology also emits larger water droplets (versus a mist) so the probability that the water is "moved" away from your desired location is greatly reduced. To me, that's quite clever. Yes, there is a cost increase over the original spray nozzles, but the ability to adjust both radius and arc quickly, combined with a decrease in water consumption, should make these units very competitive and worthy of consideration.

Not what I needed but it works.
Not a huge fan but it worked ok. Did not expect it to be so weak though. Doesn't go more than 5 feet for me on a high pressure irrigation system. Maybe I'm not doing it correctly. It has 360 embossed on the top so you know which one you have once it's installed. It was easy to install into an existing casing. Just unscrew the old one and screw in this one. Simple. Probably not for a novice like me though since I can't get the footage out of it. It also doesn't pop-up out of the casing which I was expecting it to do. Probably more of a shrub or flower bed sprinkler and not so much a lawn one. But high quality and well made. Would recommend for some applications but not lawns.

Not a fan but doesn't mean it's a bad product.
Not a fan of this sprinkler. I mean, it's easy to swap it into an existing sprinkler casing. No problem there. But once the head is hooked into the system, I fail to see 13 to 18 feet of water. I got maybe 2 feet but mostly water filled up the hole around it more than hitting the grass. It doesn't pop up when spraying. It stays flush on the top of the casing. Not sure if that's normal or not. But this won't work for what I need it for in a front lawn. Might work as a more low to ground shrub watering tool where you don't have a large area to spray. I do like that it is color coded for what type of spray it has. Maybe a professional can get this to work the way it's intended but I could not and I have high pressure water going through this system so I expected more out of it.

Quick Change Rotary Spray Head nozzle
Have you ever wanted to change a typical "pop-up" spray head to a 360 degree rotary spray head without digging up and removing the whole unit?Just remove the old spray head, then directly thread the new rotary head back into the same stem. Turn on that zone, and adjust the spray between 45 and 270 degrees. To clean just lift the head while on and it flushes out debris. And another nice thing it is not as affected by the wind as the fine spray you get from regular nozzles. Try one and compare it to an existing nozzle, and you might just find that you will want to change them all out and save water in the process.

Very easy to adjust
I really like the way this rotary sprinkler nozzle is designed. First is how easily it is to install, just unscrew old nozzle and replace. Second, how easy it is to adjust. Other nozzles require a tool and takes time to set. This nozzle can be set while in operation which allows me to get an accurate setting in one shot. Twisting stem adjusts left spray edge and then, just turn the distance dial to adjust how far I want it to spray, finally pushing down on the top and turning it for the pattern I want. Very easy!

Rain Bird 8 ft. to 14 ft. Adjustable Pattern Rotary Sprinkler Nozzle
Rain Bird 8 ft. to 14 ft. Adjustable Pattern Rotary Sprinkler Nozzle has an adjustable pattern that can be adjusted from a full circle 360 degrees to a small 45-degree pattern. The rotary spray Nozzle is a better selection spray head as the water will not get blown around during windy day usage. The rotary spray nozzles provide more exact coverage and save water. No tools are needed to adjust the pattern. This spray nozzle has a new flush procedure, just pull up while the valve is on, and this will clean out any debris. The sprinkler nozzle will fit on all manufacturer's sprinklers with the industry standard threaded shaft. Simply Pull up the existing head unscrew your existing spray head and screw the rotary head on in place. This sprinkler nozzle will put the water where it is needed in all wind conditions, saving valuable resources and money.

Best Value for In-Ground Watering
Rainbird equipment is the best cost versus value for in-ground sprinkler systems. The full circle rotary head is a great low volume sprinkler that can be adjusted for both overall radius and pattern. By hand - not tools required. To flush out gunk, just pull up the nozzle and it quickly and easily cleans out any particles. We had our system professionally installed and I replace several rotary heads with this upgrade. Very easy when following the instructions. Highly reccommend

Good water coverage
I have a mix of different sprinklers around the yard. I use different types depending on the area I need water coverage in. I have a few of these rotary types around the yard says they offer good coverage and are less likely to be affected by the wind. They are easy to add to an existing sprinkler setup and all that I have installed are working great.

This rotary pattern is fully adjustable just by twisting the black area on top
This nozzle has a smaller spray pattern than the red spray head but it will water just as well and just as fast. It will work better in tighter areas and can be adjusted for pattern size. I selected one of these to test but I received two of the red full circle rotary nozzles to install. The white area on the bottom is a trash filter to catch anything that could enter the sprinkler system due to maintenance.

Better sprinkler Head
This is a very good full 360 degree rotary sprinkler head. It easily installs into a Rain Bird carrier in about 10 seconds. Coverage is good and close to the advertised rating. Works well for windy conditions as it shoots several streams, rather than just a mist. So far, it appears to exhibit fairly reliable characteristics given it fairly low price point. I recommend this product.

Very happy with this new Rainbird Rotary nozzle
The Rainbird Full Circle rotary nozzle is a screw on accessory nozzle top for the pop up sprinklers that are buried. I have many of them in the front yard and they can water an area very fast. This nozzle is great because it can be adjusted for spray distance with the black area you can see on the side of the red area. Twisting this area will change the flow and distance of throw very easily and no tools required. The pattern rotates in a circle and has larger droplets that reach out further than a spray nozzle and are affected less by the wind. I can lower my time to water since more of it gets to the ground.

Small Sprinkler Big Coverage
This is the first sprinkler that does what it says, when it comes to coverage, almost. It does cover a large area and the coverage is uniform, even in mild wind. The sprinklers holes are drilled at different angles so you get uniform water coverage up close to the sprinkler as well as far away. When the sprinkler is running it looks like every stream of water is miss-drilled but that is the way it gets it's uniform coverage. The water coverage is uniform in the wind but you still get a egg shaped pattern. The windward side has a shorter coverage area and the lee side has a longer coverage. Its still even coverage but its not a truly round pattern. The more wind you have the more of a egg shaped pattern is produced. I tested this head on different water pressures, from about 20 PSI to 50 PSI and the sprinkler still pops up and turns with a uniform pattern at those pressures. The sprinkler has a removable center cartridge that can be removed for cleaning and also to change the coverage area. I have been using the older Rain Bird impact sprinklers, mostly at night (less wind) for many years but they are noisy when they are close to an open window. These new Rain Bird heads are nearly silent and give a more uniform coverage area compared to the older impact heads. These seem to use a bit less water. Part of that is due to the pattern being uniform and part is due to the thin water streams. Some of the older sprinklers have a wide fan type spray to get uniform coverage. I think that some of the water never gets to the ground where you want it. These have a solid stream that gets to the grounds surface faster than a fan pattern. This means that you can water for less time and still get the water on the ground that you need faster.

Functional full circle rotary nozzle
The Rain Bird 8' to 14' adjustable pattern rotary sprinkle nozzle is very well made and fits the concept of a customizable watering pattern - this is where the future proof system will develop. With a 6 feet of water treatment area it is not made for particularly small areas, but chained together, and overlapping, with other nozzles it creates a perfect watering pattern for your yard which you own and control 100%. Construction is from UV and impact resistant ABS plastic with a cap from stainless steel. The biggest challenge to these are keeping them safe from string trimmers, so they will resist occasional impact from a mid range cord, but not repeated and prolonged impacts. ABS doesn't age from UV and it will not become brittle with age, but keeping them safe during mowing is something to pay attention to. Other than that, it is pretty much an install and forget system. Because it is so small, it won't get clogged easily with grass clippings and even though you don't need a riser to install, the spray is fully adjustable 45° to 270° at 20° above horizontal without loosing water pressure on 4" Rain Bird spray bodies. It's a great product with a lot of upgradeable options to fully customize your irrigation system to not only save water but deliver it precisely where and how often it is needed.

A nice full circle sprinkler nozzle
I tried the Rain Bird 13 ft. to 18 ft. Full Circle Rotary Nozzle and I'm quite pleased with its performance. Installation was easy, fitting seamlessly into my existing sprinkler setup. The adjustable range from 13 ft. to 18 ft. is handy for customizing watering based on plant needs. The nozzle's full circle rotation ensures even water distribution, promoting healthy growth. However, adjusting settings might require some trial and error, and it's not ideal for larger areas. Overall, it's a reliable option for efficient garden irrigation.

A rotary spray head on a pop-up
A great way to retrofit your older spray heads with updated rotary nozzles. There are a number of models mostly distinguished by the distance of the spray range – mine is 17 feet to 24 feet. The range and arc is controlled by adjustments on the spray head which are simple to make and with no tools needed – a huge benefit. There is also a line-flush option to clear out debris before it can clog the nozzle. I installed the nozzle on a different brand of pop-up than rain tree and it worked perfectly. I think the real benefit to these is the water is a stream rather than a spray/mist leaving the nozzle. Presumably, the stream is less likely to be affected by the wind and would better saturate the plant or grass roots. I’ll give the product a try and see how well it holds up over the seasons. At this point I would recommend but be aware they are not cheap

Accurate! and Easy to Adjust!
The Rain Bird rotor tip is sturdy build. It gets the job done with ease and while saving water use. I prefer to use rotor nozzles because it gets my water onto those hard to reach spots that are a good distance from the sprinkler head. To add, it avoids misty - spray from shooting off target and wasting away if it goes off your yard. I like that the nozzle is easy to add, replace, and adjust. The only reason I've had to replace is because of adjustments needed, not because of dissatisfaction. Overall, these are my go-to's for my yard. I would easily RECOMMEND the brand and the nozzle to everyone.

Efficient and low
These nozzles are quiet and have good reach. My dead spots are finally greening up now that I have these. I took some advice and placed one in the center of my center yard garden and the other front yard nozzle is right next to a clean-out so that I don't forget and run over them with my mower. They spray low and don't seem to mist so they seem very efficient. So far rotation is fine but I do have hard water which may be a future concern.

Water needed in the right place.
I tried this little guy in two areas of the yard and I must say it performed well. The settings are easy to adjust and the water delivery went right where I wanted it to go. The installation was easy and the instructions were very understandable. Rain Bird products are all I have ever used and they seem to be very long lasting and remain a good value. This application could not have been easier. As always any questions I had were answered by the Home Depot team.

Excellent Product
This is a very strong and sturdy sprinkler nozzle. I can appreciate the colors for it makes it easier to spot it with my failing eye sight. Each of this sprinkler nozzle joints are not going to bend, it would take major damage to even come close to being able to break it. Surprisingly this tiny sprinkler nozzle has a little weight to it despite being mostly made of plastic. quite solid.

Excellent
To be so small it is very sturdy and strong. There will be no bending of the joints. It is made of extremely strong plastic. It has a little bit of weight to it. Easy to understand and straight to the point, literally. Might be minor, but I appreciate the colors of the sprinkler, makes it easy to see for those of us whose eyes are starting to fail.

Great Nozzle
I really like the Rain Bird nozzle. I was having trouble with water running off of the sloped area using a fixed nozzle and this really helped with that issue. It sprays a more uniform pattern than the older nozzle that I replaced it with. Easy enough to install. Just screw the old one off and the new one on. Takes just a couple of minutes The adjustment instructions are on the back of the plastic package it comes in. This model is the 18' one and it is adjustable from 13 to 18 ft. and from 45 to 270 fegrees rotation. I really like the flush feature where you just pull up on the nozzle to flush any debris out. Absolutely no tools required to install or adjust and it uses less water. They just keep getting better.

Works well
Since our dog had chewed up a coupe of our sprinklers it was time to replace them. We initially got the all-around sprinklers but then decided that the Rain Bird 8 ft. to 14 ft. Adjustable Pattern Rotary Sprinkler Nozzle would be better for some locations. Replacing the nozzle is really easy. Pull up the sprinkler head and hold it up. unscrew the nozzle and screw the new one in. Let go, done. Adjusting the spray pattern takes several trial and errors.

Overall, it's a practical choice for efficient irrigation in compact gardens.
