Easy to install and does the job with very little maintenance required.

Expect it to be a good alternative to the expensive gutter guard.

The product is probably just fine but the installation instructions were photo-copied so many times that they were unreadable. The end result of the installation was not good and I have to re-do it.

Best product, much better than screens

Too small for my gutters. The strips came at approximately 1 1/2 inches from the top of gutter which would have been a collecting area for Live Oak leaves and acorns. Therefore I can't give the product an overall rating

This is replacement gutter filters. We chose this type over the screen type because we get hail storms several times a year and the hail just bounces off this type of filter without damaging it. It's easy to install and stays put.

With heavy water flow, the water goes across top, rather down the filter.

Seemed like a great idea. Installed about 3 years ago. Leaves and other debris gradually stuck to the foam and rotted. Now I have an impervious top layer of dried muck that is bonded into the foam. Rain simply washes over the top.

I installed the foam in my gutters a year ago...it has worked very well through a Florida storm season. I blew the top off with my blower. Much better than the hours I used to spend cleaning them. I am a bit concerned about the impact of the wet foam against the inside of my gutter and with roofing fines plugging the top, but so far so good. Recent purchase was for the gutters on my significant other's home.

I put one section in for a year to see if I was any good. To my surprise, when I took out and looked the next year, that little section of the gutter was clear and in pristine condition! So I purchased enough to go around the whole house. A little pricey, however, if I don't have to clean gutters every year, I'm grateful! :)

This is the only product I have found that will keep Douglas fir needles and all other debris from clogging a gutter. It is easy to install and there is no waste. Once a year I clean off the top of the filter.

I was skeptical when I ordered the Rain filter gutter items because they would have to be very flexible to fit under the metal cross piece supports and then be tucked under the “roof-over”edge. They were easily installed and solved my leaf problem. No more cleaning leaves from the gutters for me!!

Easy to install and very effective in keeping pine needles out of our gutters. Great product!

The product arrives sooner than the expected delivery date provided...pleased. It arrived in a plain brown box w/no Rain Filter identification labeling. I noticed that the product inside was different than the Rain Filter product I had purchased a couple years earlier from Costco for the same price. It was not as rigid and the coating was not applied to all sides, just the one side facing up when installed. It is quick and easy to install into your gutters. I installed just before winter so I cannot attest to how it performs. Overall, I am pleased with this product purchase. Only time will tell about the quality and how effective it is against keeping debris out of my gutters.

Been using rain filters in my gutters at the lake house for three years will no issues. Acorns do get trapped on top but does not affect the water flow. You can blow these off or they will eventually wash off when you have a hard storm. Currently, removing all the gutter helmet from the gutters at my home and installing rain filter. Gutter helmet causes ice dams with water backup and leaks and hard rains just run over the edge like you have no gutters at all.

Frankly the installation instructions were lacking; primarily as to the exact placement of the product in the gutter. This gutter area has a large tree over it and all of the leaves have not yet fallen but I suspect there will be a layer of leaves to clean off next spring.

I have used this product before in the Pacific Northwest where I live. The first application lasted seven years before heavy moss began to grow on the previous foam guards. Seven years is far better than any other solution I have tried, and believe me I have tried them all.

Only coated on one side. Directions so bad you can not read.

These inserts work very well and are a whole lot cheaper than a bunch of the other gutter guard products. Have been using them for years. I replace them about every 4 years due to the fine openings tend to get clogged up. I live in a ranch house so the gutters are easily reached with a short ladder.

This gutter filtration system was easy to install. I just need to wait for several rains to see how well they perform. The most difficult part of the job was getting my gutters clean enough so I could install them.

Easy to install and filters out pine needles which get through many other gutter filters. It fits any standard rain gutter.

The product is great, but I didn't realize my gutters were 6". Unfortunately I have to return them.

The only issue I had was the length to which they matched up to my existing brace brackets. I had to manually cut down each piece to fit between the braces. Which wasn't the products fault. My gutters were not installed to the current specification. However, it worked out better than I imagined and I haven't had any problems with my gutters since and we have had some serious rain and storms since then. It's way more inexpensive than the leaf gutter guards and you can easily install them yourself. I can't be any more pleased with this product. I highly recommend this product for your gutters. It's cheaper, just as effective than the leaf guards and easy to install. All you need is a ladder and a good pair of scissors.

I purchased this specifically because it is the same brand as the ones I have bought in the past. When I got the package the sender was a 3rd party NOT Home Depot. The 8 guards were thrown in a brown shipping box. NOT in original packaging. Could be a generic guard. Does not seem to be like the Rain Guard I installed a few years ago. Seems cheaper. The directions were xeroxed and a very bad quality. Can't see the pictures clearly to see how to install. On the directions it says to save UPC code for warranty reasons. Kind of hard to do if generic guards are provided w/o any original packaging. Just a heads up to those looking to purchase this. Very dissatisfied and I will be calling HD customer support and finding out I go about a refund.

Had the product installed in October 2009. Have had no problems with ice and snow in Ottawa! Never think about doing any work on the gutters. Plenty of pine trees and maples around.

I had gotten these last year but needed more . They are great easy to install . Ordered on line because they don't have in store and got them in four days . the old ones I took out and cleaned and put right back in . I have a lot of problems with pine needles and this solved my problem . I also have a metal roof with ridges in it so you can't just put anything up there and this did the trick . Quick and easy.

I have large Cedar trees behind my home and I wanted to keep the gutters clear. The advertising said that debris would blow away with the next windy day. It did not blow off and collected on top of the of the foam. Then it would rain and that wet debris would set against the roof until I climbed the ladder to remove it. I am going to have it pulled out and gutter covers installed. Money and time wasted.

In less than 2 winters, the filter has disintegrated, gotten clogged and now is supporting the growth of alder shoots in it's interior. A complete mess and will have to remove it all and replace with a different type of filter that has a better chance of actually working instead of making the situation worse. All money spent on this system has been wasted. Be forewarned!
