this is the 4th time I have ordered these, out of desperation. I have gotten a different size rock every time. They fade within a couple of days, so now they are grey. I give up. I will not order any more. They are very expensive and definitely not worth it

Great looking rock and exactly what I envisioned when I started. They do not fill an area very well so I had to order twice as much as expected. I don't like that I ordered a pallet and was charged extra for delivery because I ordered just as much the very next week and it came on the same pallet delivered by the same company for zero charge. Don't buy the pallet, buy 40+ individual bags and they will deliver it just the same. Also don't expect every rock to be perfect. For every 30 bags you will have about 3-4 bags worth of broken ones but these are not fading and still look shiny after a month in the sun and in the rain.

These black pebbles turned out great! We used these to make a decorative design on my mother's grave. We wanted the black pebbles to match the black marble headstone and they looked great! The color of the pebbles were consistent throughout multiple bags. They were shipped in individual cardboard boxes that made transport easier. I used the estimated coverage they provided on the website to figure out how many bags to buy. It was very close, but we did wind up buying a little extra to get the depth we wanted.

I do like that Home Depot has such a big selection, but it's kind of hard to know what you're getting. I hope the attached picture helps when trying to decide. In this picture I'm showing the box they come in, the bag of rocks, and then the rocks themselves. (So this picture shows a quantity of 3). The rocks seem more brittle than I'd expect and because many of them chipped or are broken, I can see that they are black through-out. There's also a chalky black film on them, which might be dust from them breaking in the bag. I wanted black rocks for my landscaping project that will just sit outside all day - so they should work fine. I put a blade down to show the size of the rocks and the amount the bag holds. Hopefully this helps. As for the Home Depot online experience, I ordered these rocks on May 11th, and got them on the 18th. I also ordered 2 other types of rocks in the same order and those orders are still "being processed" and i have yet to hear anything about them. So i'm less than thrilled about the shipping time and experience. Lowe's does't have nearly the same selection, but when I have ordered from Lowe's, they hand delivered my landscaping supplies the next morning.

We had searched long and hard to find smooth stones for our firepit area which you could step on comfortably and looked great and these fit the bill perfectly

Nice black polished pebbles, exactly as advertised. Weight could be deceiving, 20 pounds per pack really is not much (so be careful if you want to cover a big area with this option). Maybe useful for to accent some small area and even that will be expensive. Quality, delivery (one box per 20 pound bag), description and look is excellent, my only reason to give a 4 star is price (too expensive for stones).

I believe these may be discontinued now but unless you are using them in an indoor or very shaded area I would recommend you stay away. If using outdoors with ANY sun they fade quickly. They are not truly polished and are covered in a waxy product so likely part of the reason they fade. We would have returned but boxing up 23 boxes of these rocks to take back to the store was not an option. Instead we were offered a discount. Very disappointing!

Looks beautiful in my succulent gaden

Very Nice Stones. I had intended to use them for a larger landscaping need, but they turned out to be too small for the job. They are better suited for a smaller garden type project or large fish tank.

Did the job, just right to fill gaps the 2-3” black polished. Makes a great break line for the drain separates opening.

Excellent! Shiny and black, just as advertised. Saw several reviews that they were grey, not black and that many rocks came crushed in the bags but I didn’t experience that at all. The only thing is the bags are not that big, and you’ll likely need way more than you anticipated. They aren’t cheap!

Not as described at all. They came super bulky. More like 3-5 inches and it was dusty, pale grey. Not even close to black.

The "pebbles" are large and are charcoal gray rather than black. Because of the large size, I am using about twice as many as anticipated (smaller rocks provide more even coverage), and the project cost is becoming outrageous.

Stones were much larger than promised and bags were only half full.
