This was totally worth it for me, after misses with glue traps and traditional snap traps for 3 days, this worked really quickly. I knew where the rat was coming in so placed the zapper along it’s path, baited it with a few pieces of apple
I ordered this because I had squirrels killing my tomato plants and getting on my bird feeders. I've had it for less than a week and got one today! Worked just as I had hoped.
We have had these units for a few years and they work great. We have a lot of mice starting with cooler weather and these things get them. I bought professional food bait from an exterminator supply and put a tiny dab on a piece of dry dog food. The mice line up for it and I sometimes get 2 or 3 a day until the mice thin out. I have had multiple kills without replacing the bait because they never get to take a bite. I don't think it gets a full 60 kills per set of batteries and I think it's because there must be a small drain during the standby time but it does get a pile. This is the only clean and safe method we have that really works. We have 3 small dogs and don't want to use any kind of poison. Besides who wants mice rotting in the walls.
Works really well! We live near hills and have caught 7 rats in 2 months using bird seed as bait. I just put a small amount of seed near the entrance and more at the back of the Rat Zapper. I placed it along a wall. Extremely easy to use.
rodents AVOID it. Put it out where I could tell if rodents nearby& they PASSED every time. NO nibbles at all. AND so poorly constructed that you have to take the batteries out every time you handle to avoid charge.

This is not the first zapper that I have purchased. I used brand new batteries and put bait in the rear of the tap. I also placed a game camera to observe. Night after night I watched mice go in and out of the trap and eating the bait. Never zapped any of them.
