“China-T” Marked head
Nothing about the head is Austrian. Handle is ash and it’s not smooth but not coarse like other reviewers mentioned. Hopefully this tool lasts. Company needs to update product information section.

    Begrudgingly Excellent for Compost
My eco-warrior girlfriend wanted it for flipping compost. 3 tines so that it doesn't get stuck when digging in. She didn't want this one because of the price, but begrudgingly accepted my getting it for her as a surprise present. She loves it. She thinks it's perfect, and that means it is. She uses it all the time. Mind you that our compost set-up isn't fancy. Just some pallets screwed together with 3" exterior screws and extra planks added after the fact to keep the dogs out.

I got this hay fork to pull the dry leaves behind my air conditioning unit. However, it came different than I expected, totally my mistake. This is a heavy duty, thick and wide hay thrower with 3 tines; not a gardeners tool but a farmers tool. But the product is very solid and good quality. I do not think time and usage can beat it at all. I recommend the product although I will not be using it much

I have been a builder remodeler (and farmer) for 49 years or more, and as such, unlike many more suburban people today, I do have use for a pitchfork like this 3-OVAL TINE HAY FORK. It is the perfect tool for pitching and spreading hay onto the garden for mulch, doing the same for animals, and other such activities. I thought the classic picture of the couple we often see in such settings would have been perfect, but my wife didn’t want to be in the picture.

I like this hay fork. It's very light yet made out of quality material. Made in the USA, the handle is made from hardwood. Tines have a 1/2" base for strength and everything is held together with an 8" metal socket. These hay forks aren't just for ranchers and farmers. I use mine for getting debris out of my Earth pond, spreading mulch, controlling a camp fire and the list goes on. I own several Razor-Back tools and love every one of them.

The Razorback three tine hay fork is very well made. I did have to sand the handle when it arrived because it was very rough. After a light sanding I used it for removing old plants you can't use a shovel for. I will again use it for laying straw around my plants for the winter to protect them. It is a well balanced hay fork and very easy to use. Would work great in horse stalls.

This 3 tine fork works great for what I wanted it for. I live on the plains, way out in the country, and I get tumbleweeds 3 and 4 feet deep along my fences. Eventually, this will get heavy enough with our high winds that it can break posts and pull staples out of the fence. This fork works great for putting the tumbleweeds on over the fence so they can go on their way. I'd tried this with my 5 tine hay fork before, and it wouldn't let go of the tumbleweeds, so made it more work than it was worth. 3 tines don't get hung up in the tumbleweeds so easy to just toss them across the fence. This was my main purpose for this fork. I already have a hay fork and a manure fork. The other thing that I've found that this 3 tine fork does just fine is picking up the weeds I've pulled from along my yard fence to carry them over to my burn pile. I normally pick them up in my arms, but then get itchy from the weeds. It will be a very handy tool for me.

Well made 3 tine fork. It is a razorback so it has like a lifetime warranty, probably for workmanship discounting wear and tear from normal usage. I have a 5 tine manure fork also a Razorback and you can see the difference in the spacing of the tines and how the manure fork tines are straight while the hay fork sprays a bit. I found that when using the hay fork, like the name implies its good for large rough strands like hay straw, and branches in your compost pile. It will not work for refined mulch and just falls thru. The handle is wood and has a finish on it but it is rough to the touch, so either you're okay with that or want to sand it down smoother and apply the old fashion boiled linseed oil. The handle is shorter than the manure fork, so you may also find yourself bending a little bit more when using it. The metal fork component is stamped Austria. Overall a good quality Hay fork for the purpose it is made for.

A good strong pitch fork with a stout wooden handle. The tines seem to be well fastened to the handle which is a good thick piece of round wood. The top end is rounded, but has no hole for hanging by the handle. Not a problem, as I think most people will hang it on a wall from the fork-end anyway. We were able to clear up thickly matted leaves out of flower beds without any problems. The fork is 66 inches long and 9 inches wide at the tip. Assembled in the USA with foreign and deomestic components. “Austria” is stamped onto the metal fork so I presume at least that part is made in Austria.

This fork is much better at moving garden waste for composting than my spading fork. The handle is much longer so when add to my compost bin I can reach the eight feet to the very back. The tines do an excellent job at picking picking up all kinds of objects, though of course small dry items will just slip between the tines. Even when I am loading my wheelbarrow and do not need long reach, I just hold the handle closer to the times and the overhanging fork handle acts like a counterweight. The construction quality seems excellent so I anticipate a long life for this excellent garden tool.

Does a great job on my compost pile
What can you say about a pitch fork? Well, perhaps, quality of material and construction. I use this tool for turning my mulch piles mostly comprised of leaves and lawn clippings. Using a pitch fork like this makes this chore much easier and effective. From all that I can tell so far, this pitch fork will last a lifetime! Highly recommended for processing/moving reasonably loose, bulky (as opposed to fine grained things like soil) materials.

Good quality fork. I have a chicken run where I throw compost and soaked seeds. I turn the soil frequently to expose earthworms and sprouts. I was using a shovel to do this and I ended up with large clumps of soil with a few dismembered earthworms and some sprouts showing. I started using this fork instead. I works great! Breaks the soil up while turning it over, leaving all the goodness at the surface. Even though the ends of the prongs seem dull they penetrate the soil easily. It appears to have very strong contruction.

A solid yet light weight fork that I use for turning compost! This is my second purchase of the identical fork, I left the last one with the people I lived with, who then had a large mature compost pile to tend. This is a hard fork to find, it needs to be ordered- (Razorback- 3 tine).
