DO NOT BUY - NOT ENOUGH POWER!
We bought several of these exhaust fans while doing a whole house refresh a year ago. None of them work well. We installed TWO of the 150 CFM at either end of our 150 sf master bathroom, which originally had just one larger one, so this should have been overkill. They turn on together, and even so, they barely pull in any air, and the walls and ceiling are literally dripping with condensation! And all of the fans are like this! Not nearly enough power to do the job! Waste of money and time!

We're thankful you reached out to us because we are certain we can help with this! For what you are describing, there is ample CFM for your room size, so we believe there may be something blocking the airflow. Sometimes it's as simple as forgetting to remove the cap or tape on the damper. This is very simple to troubleshoot and diagnose, so please give us a call and we can help! 1-877-543-8698 or email info@reventfans.com ReVent

    super easy installation
This ReVent exhaust fan is GREAT! The 150 CFM fan (cubic feet/minute) is perfect for a larger bathroom or laundry room. It's recommended to get a fan that's 1 CFM per 1 square foot of your room. So this fan will efficiently service a 150sq foot room. It is 1.2 Sones which is very quiet. Usually the higher the CFM, the louder the fan is, but it's still quite low in volume compared to others. The other things I love about this fan is that it can be installed easily in the existing spot of the fan you're replacing and mounts directly to your sheetrock (takes about 30 minutes) or you can install it in new construction with the included joist hangers. Make sure you have actual duct tape available to secure the damper to the flexible duct work. I would strongly recommend viewing the video which is on the manufacturers website: www.reventfans.com. It's only about 1 minute and gives you an excellent overview of what to do and expect during installation. There are little tabs around the body of fan which bend and secure the fan in place around your sheetrock so there are no screws to fool around with during installation. They also include a cutout template if you need to trim your drywall. This fan is energy certified and has adjustable LED lighting: warm white, bright light, or daylight. I love that feature! I don't have a picture of it mounted yet because my bathroom is being reconfigured to include a separate bathtub and shower. The style of this fan will work with any decor' because it's white with a simple square design. I really like this exhaust fan!

Quiet but moves a lot of exhaust, nice light
This fan has a 6 inch exhaust tube allow a lot of air to be exhausted without a lot of noise generation. If you're replacing an old fan you can wire together the fan and light together or have an electrician pull a new wire to allow you to operate the fan and light separately. Also, when replacing an old fan (mine was original to a 1952 house) you'll likely need to upgrade your duct. For my job, this was the hardest, messes part of the job. Everything else went smooth. Love that I could adjust the light to a warm yellow light vs bright blue. Fan noise level is less than 45 decibels aka it's quiet.

Makes a difficult job a bit easier
Installing a new ceiling fan is rarely a pleasant task - with the ReVent the most difficult part was removing the old fan. Installation is straightforward. The one caveat is that this fan uses a 6 inch duct and they do not recommend using anything smaller. Something you may want to check as many fans are set up for 4 inch ducts. The fan once it is installed is really quite nice and the ability to select the light temperature to match the other lighting in the room is a real plus. I do like the finished look without a grill. Grills seem to catch a lot of lint and get pretty ratty looking in short order and are a pain to keep clean.

    Great super powerful exhaust fan
I upgraded the exhaust fan for my master bath. Let me tell you, this fan is awesome. I barely get any humidity at all while showering. My previous fan was ok but the bathroom would be cloudy and the mirrors would fog up. Well, with this new fan all that went away. It was a very good investment. I did have to buy soffit exhaust vent since it required to upgrade to a 6in spring. So that was an extra $75 but well worth it. I did had to make adjustments to the previous hole in the ceiling but it was time to upgrade. Installation was simple, time consuming but not hard. The LED vanity light it includes is enough to lighten my whole bathroom. It is also very sleek and modern looking. It is a great investment.

Clean design, and rated for installation in a shower
The fan housing is a 10-1/4” square that will stick up 8-5/8” above the ceiling. The housing is constructed of 22-gauge sheet metal. The fan/housing assembly weighs 8 pounds. The squirrel cage fan itself is of plastic construction except for the motor. The fan discharge is a plastic transition from 6” square to 6” round containing an integral plastic backdraft damper. A piece of tape holds the damper in place as shipped and must be removed before placing the fan in service. >>>>>>Installation in an existing ceiling is made easy using the cardboard template provided—just be sure to cut on the outside of the line. Mounting tabs are provided for both ½” and 5/8” drywall and you will need to remove the damper assembly to slide the housing into the ceiling space. Mounting bars are provided for new construction. A plastic trim “ring” is provided to cover the rough opening in the ceiling. >>>>>>The fan and light can be wired separately. The instructions say that the fan cannot be connected to a dimmer switch [for speed control?] but the light can be connected to a dimmer switch. Neither the specs nor packaging mention that a light dimmer can be used. ReVent makes a model that is shipped with a humidity sensing and timer to control the fan. The model I have did not come with a switch so I contacted the company to see if a switch could be purchased separately. Hopefully, I will hear back before I finish the installation otherwise, I will go with a third-party humidity/time switch.>>>the LED light panel is equivalent to a 60-watt incandescent bulb and is color adjustable—2700K, 4000K and 5000K. The switch is on the back of the light panel, or SHIELD as the instructions call it. The light itself is 5-7/8” square with rounded corners in the middle of a 13-1/4” square SHIELD (with rounded corners. The Shield is held in place by springs so the panel can be pulled down to change the color setting. One unique feature of the design is that there is no grille to collect dust. The exhaust air flows over the back of the SHIELD through a one-inch gap. The SHIELD has four stand-offs to push on the trim ring. >>>>>>>I was not ready to install the fan yet, so I hooked it up temporarily. I found the fan very quiet and the light more than adequate for a 60” shower.>>>>>The fan is EnergyStar rated, comes with a 3-year warranty, and is made in PRC.

    Premium Bath Fan
Such an upgrade compared to our old builder-grade bath fan. ReVent made it easy with templates and step-by-step instructions. The fan has an average install compared to other vent fans, I didn't think it was easier but definitely a DIY job. Love the selectable color for the light, and its ample brightness for our area. The fan has a nice ramp-up speed when you turn it on. Overall, I would buy this again if I needed to.

    Quiet!
We replaced the exhaust fan in our kids bathroom with this. Pretty straight forward installation. The template for cutting out the ceiling was nice because it was larger than the older one. Sheet rock locking tabs were much better than trying to drill screws into the studs. My husband watched the installation video first. The URL is listed on the side of the box. I like that it's low profile, quiet and the light is very bright.

An energy saving, powerful bathroom fan
The ReVent Bathroom Exhaust Fan with adjustable LED Lighting is powerful (150 CFM ) and easy to install. I like the fan generates powerful airflow but with very low noise. There is a switch at the back of the light panel to choose from three available color temperatures. I picked the 4000 K for the brightness. The LED light could save a lot of energy. There is a video on homedepot.com to guide you through the installation process. It is a good product.

    Well made
I wasn’t able to install this yet because my old one is a bit smaller so I’ll need to cut the ceiling and also get a vent adapter because mine is 4 inches not six. But looking at this product it seems well-made the fan itself is plastic but it’s not the old blade style which is good the housing body is rigid in the light cover looks good. I’m looking forward to installing this and getting several years out of it.

Cannot wait to install at Florida home.
We have an existing bathroom fan with light at our place in Florida, and the fan is starting to get noisy. I will install down there, and it appears to be an easier job than originally thought to be. The fans box is an easy fit by using the template that comes with this bathroom fan. I really like the part about the light fixture part of this unit, as it is adjustable in color brightness, 2700K, 4000K and 5000K. These being LED is a no brainer as I save money and never need to change a bulb for 50,000 hours of use.

    Light only lasted 17 months.
Light quit after 17 months, fan still works. Warranty says it doesn't cover the light.

I've had this bathroom light/fan for about 2 months. This fan/light was even better than expected. The light is bright, but not harsh, which is perfect in my bathroom because it's the only light near the shower. You barely notice the fan running. It's not non existant but it's not annoying. The best part about this fan is that is absolutely draws moisture out of the bathroom during a shower but doesn't make the bathroom cold. I would buy it again.

Very bright for its size and very quiet! Our glass door installer was surprised it was a fan since it was so quiet.

      Buy something else
This required an involved installation, which we were okay with for upgrading from our old fan. It has nice lighting options if you want to grab your ladder every time you want to switch them (esp. if multiple ppl have differing preferences)--something not too fun in a tight space. The fan was very quiet and vented perfectly for only three weeks. Then, it got so loud--louder than our old fan--with an added rattling that reminds me of our outside A/C unit! We'll be returning this ASAP.

Nice looking, reasonably quiet. Works fairly well so far in handling the bathroom humidity but I have only been able to use it 3 times as the bathroom remodel is not entirely finished yet. It sits close to the ceiling, not embedded flat in the ceiling, if that matters to anyone. I like the warmer light setting. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the suction power is lower than I expected and I am somewhat concerned as to whether it will be able to keep up with the condensation once winter kicks in.

Thank you for your review. Here are a few things to check to ensure optimal performance: 1. Dirty or clogged vent pipe 2. Closed vent pipe damper 3. Vent pipe should be 4 in diameter. 4. Length of vent pipe should not exceed 10 ft. ReVent

          not quiet
Just moved into a home w/RVL150 installed and it's not quiet. Sounds like air rushing. Manual states "performance at 6" ducting" is 1.2 sones. This installer kept the orig flex duc (which looks like 3”/4”) & had a reducer from the damper & makes a hard 70°turn to the roof. I disconnected the damper & pulled the unit into the room and powered it on. A lighter sound but not silent. Just know: you're not gonna get a quiet fan by just replacing your old fan with this. There's variables.

          Response from ReVentSep 3, 2024
The RVL150 is 1.2 sones, which is considered quiet. If the vent pipe is smaller than recommended, length is too long with bends, etc., the airflow will be restricted and will cause the fan to be louder. This is the case for all fans, regardless of brand or size. Using the recommended ducting could drastically improve your fans performance and reduce the sound. Call us if you have any questions and we'd be happy to help! 1-877-543-8698 ReVent
