I'm reviewing the Reach Barrier Reflective Air water-heater insulation kit. This is so much better than the old fiberglass type of insulation kits. I bought 2 kits. I put the first one on a 40 gallon electric water-heater. So simple and quick to install. There was more than enough reflective material to cover the heater completely. There was also enough tape to do the job. I felt the water-heater exterior before and a few times now after the install. Before the reflective barrier I could feel some warmth. Now when I feel the exterior it feels cold, like the basement. So it seems to me the product does the job. Well worth installing!

We have a new construction home and wanted to put a new blanket on the water heater. Following the installation instructions when I got down to the last part of of the water heater I ran out of material. This is a standard 50 gallon heater and the box said it would do standard water heaters? I E-mailed the company to get there explanation and never received a response. For that reason I would not recommend it and gave it a poor "value".

This is my first experience with a water heater cover. As I have no basis for comparison, I am rating the product as good. I can tell that the water stays warm longer as it runs through the pipes, that is, I don't have to run water as long as I used to before the warm/hot water comes out. Also, the little room where the heater is installed is not as warm as it used to be, all the heat stays in the boiler. Made my day!
