Added some peanut butter to the glue trap and it worked to catch the pest.

The traps was working great, catching a lot of rats.

Works great to trap pesky animal without any rash chemical.

I've been using these for awhile against field mice. Forget PB and use vanilla wafers for bait (cheap store brand works fine). I have seen a few traps with bitty claw prints but no mice, so if I ever got rats I'd probably need Tannerite. But the larger area does seem to yield good results for mice. Don't throw away a trap that's caught a single mouse. They send out SOS and you might get the ones that come to rescue them.

Can't get these at every Home depot store but they work the best.

A rat got in the trap but after dragging it around it was able to free itself.

Bought them for field mice that come into our house every now and then. If you have the right bait, it works really well. I have used the snap kind trap before but it doesn’t always work. Not sure about rat though

This trap really does work but you will likely catch other creatures if you're not careful or thoughtful about how and where you set this. You may want to consider placing it in an enclosed or covered space so that birds can't get to it. It will likely trap insects (spiders) and possibly lizards too. In terms of rat and mice, it will get them where both of those (especially rats) have learned to adapt and avoid other types of traps (like live traps, snap traps and even bait stations). At first when I set these out to capture a rat that I knew was in the area, the rat was completely avoiding it. I then placed a piece of cooked backing in the middle close to the peg (I would recommend securing it somehow) and the next day the rat was caught. I've found that bacon, at least in my area and experience, works *very* well for attracting rats and seems quite irresistable to them. I would say the trap alone is probably not as effective and that you still will need to bait it with something in or close to the middle.

Rats just walked right over them. Might be good for mice but rats are too big and too smart for these traps. One got caught and then escaped as I saw the tracks on the floor

Glue trap is strong enough to capture mice

Rats In Florida are very common. I did a lot of trimming up and raking out the landscaping bushes and ferns but wasn’t successful in getting rid of my rats. Often I would hear them climbing up the gutters to go on my roof. I put a couple of these rat traps in my gutter downspouts and was able to catch a few rats. They do have the ability to fight their way through the glue trap but it will take them about 10 minutes or so. Twice I heard them and had to follow-up with a pellet gun. If I wasn’t walking by when they were fighting to get through the glue trap they would have been gone. One rat was 60% of the way across the rat trap in only 5 minutes. I first saw him when his back feet and tail were outside of the glue trap and gutter. The other rat was all the way through the glue trap with just his back legs remaining before getting to freedom. I like there are no chemical's since there are bald eagles and other predatory endangered species near our home.
