This was easy to cut to size (my window is 35 in wide) and easy to install. It completely blocks light except for a small amount of light coming in from the sides. However, I installed it behind wood slat blinds and with the paper shade down and the wood slat blinds angled shut, absolutely no light enters the room. It is pitch black. Perfect solution to making the room dark for grandbabies to sleep in when visiting! MUCH better than taping tin foil all over the windows which we had to do the last time they visited.

The shades are great but didn't come with any brown clips to hold them up when you raise them. Other than that, I like the dark temporary shades. I have used them on some of the new homes we have built. I am calling Home Depot to see if they will ship me some clips or I can pick up at store if they have some.

This product is easy to install. When combined with UV Window Film, it can really reduce the heat signature of normal windows. I used small flat-head wood screws to help secure one side of the shade to the window. This ensures they will not pull away if the glue is heated by the afternoon sun. These shades are nice and this particular color is quite dark. Great product and a very good price.

Work great but Redi-Shade does not include the clips to keep them up. I had to call them to get the clips. They only sent me clips for two (2) shades even though the box had four shades. The clips for all the shades should be standard and included in the box.
