Temporary is the operative word here. They do not wear well—thin paper that kinks and crumples and gives paper cuts. After about a week, if you actually lower and raise them on a daily basis, you will grow to hate them because you have to manually gather and clip each side unless you have someone to help. When you do remove them to replace with permanent coverings, the strong adhesive will take multiple layers of paint off.

If you buy these, buy some masking tape to hold them up. All of ours fell down. And when they fall, they stick to themselves resulting in tearing/holes etc. The adhesive the manufacturer is using is cheap. Would not recommend these. Waste of our time an money since most are now torn.

These shades are great for temporary shades. I've used them a few times when moving until my permanent blinds or shades were installed. The adhesive that holds them up at the top of the window frame sometimes lets go and the shade falls, but can be reinstalled with a little help from some painter's tape or masking tape.

So easy to cut the width I wanted. I used a scissors. I dusted the 17x17 window sills and then hung the whole 72" length and then cut it to the length I wanted. Took me 15 mins. For two windows. Looks very professional.

Great Temporary Window Shades. I moved into a new constructed home during a busy work travel period so I don't have time to select and install permanent window treatments. These light filtering shades are a perfect solution to inexpensively provide privacy and actually look pretty good. I used them on a large arch window only hanging them over the two lower standard window sections leaving the arch section open. I was able to attach the adhesive strips along the top vinyl (mini sill) and they adhere very well. Just to be safe I reinforced it in a ew spots with a few small strips I had some specialty white paper tape I had. The pleating does come out a little over time but you can help avoid this by not letting extra at the bottom hang and stretch the bind. Clip the exess and let it rest on the sill. (FYI- The blackout version of these are slightly more difficult to deal with).

        Surprisingly Awesome
Because my husband and I recently painted our bedroom, our existing window coverings no longer worked. I bought these paper shades to hang while new curtains are on order and could NOT be happier with them. It literally took me three minutes per window to measure, cut, and hang these. The plastic clips that come with make it super easy to adjust the length of the shades. They are paper and I can't speak to their durability (because I've only had them up for four days), but they look really sharp. I've told everyone I know about how great these are, lol.

Still hanging in there after over a year!
We moved into a big, old house with no window treatments last year. We couldn't afford proper blinds, so we bought a bunch of these to tide us over until we could buy real window coverings. We have the white ones in the living areas, the grey ones in our bedroom and the kids' bedroom, and the black ones in the baby's room. Installation: They are very easy to install. Clean the window frame, trim the shades to size (I used a utility knife and a ruler - it usually just took 3-4 cuts to get through the whole shade), peel and stick. I only had two fall down, of the eleven I installed, and those were the ones where I forgot to clean the surface before installing them. I cleaned it and stuck them back up, and they stayed fine. One of the re-stuck ones fell down a second time on an especially humid summer day. Privacy and light filtering: They do the job. The white ones are completely opaque, and you can't see inside when they are closed. They block more light than I thought they would, and I found myself still wanting to open them to let the sunshine in every day. The grey ones make the room dark enough for the kids to nap or go to bed before sunset, but let enough light in to tell the difference between day and night. The black ones aren't true blackout shades, but what can you expect from paper? You can see the hand in front of your face, and once your eyes adjust to the darkness, you can see across the room without any trouble. But they do a more than decent job for the price. Removal: This was one of the only drawbacks. They all ripped a big strip of paint off when we took them down, no matter how careful we were. But I didn't take away any stars for this because our house is old, and sometimes the paint comes off just because you looked at it funny. Daily use: It was a little bit annoying to have to re-fold the accordion fold every morning to open the blinds, and my kids were constantly removing (and losing) the clips (FYI: clothespins work in a pinch). If you have toddlers, they will likely be fascinated by the big, crinkly paper things as soon as they are tall enough to reach them, which will definitely reduce their longevity (toddler-induced damage was what finally did our living room ones in). The bedroom ones are less tempting, so they are all still doing fine. Bonus: Bored of the look of straight shades? Lost half your clips? Just clip the middle instead of the edges, and you have fancy circle shades!

        Perfect simple solution
Just moving in to a new apartment I needed a quick window covering while I moved in so I could leave curtains and blinds until all my furniture and painting is situated. These are a great value took just a few minutes to put up 4. They let enough light in but offer complete privacy.

These simple paper blinds are easy to use. I bought the blackout and gray last summer and this summer I wanted to try out the white and see how well the white performed in comparison. I use these blinds to keep the sunlight from immediately heating up the air inside the house. This has helped me reduce the number of hours I run the air conditioner.

The measurement says 72”; however, to get it to truly be 72”, you’d have to completely stretch it out, at this point it doesn’t even look like blinds but rather a white piece of paper. Disappointed in the measurement description for this product. Otherwise, the adhesive & appearance seem great so far.

Everything was fine except: videos show that when you pull down the shade to the bottom and let go, it snaps back up. That doesn't happen.

4 of the 6 shades we put up kept falling down. Then the adhesive would stick to another part of the shade and we had to throw them away. Waste of money!

When you need privacy while waiting for your new blind or shades to be delivered these paper shades are an instant fix! I live them and I needed all six of them too. It was a relief to know about this solution and I put them all up in no time at all. Also they can be reused easily enough. The plastic pins that are in the box are very useful too.
