A few issues, but cuts wellOverall this does a pretty good job at cutting tall grass. However, there are a few issues you should consider before purchasing. First, the handle is designed so the safety lever fits flush with the handle. But the way they creased the handle to allow this it created a sharp ridge right where your palms rest and put pressure on the handle. It caused bruising and pain in the palm and outer part of hand. Also the safety lever is inside the handle so any time you need to maneuver the trimmer it digs into the side of your hand and pinkie finger. I ended up having to use gloves, which helped only a little, and I do not have soft hands. I've worked with my hands doing manual labor since I was a kid. During the summers I used to work for a parks department doing this type of work 8 hours a day five days a week, so no, it's not my hands. You have to wrap the handle with something soft, like pipe insulation, in order to alleviate this. I temporarily wrapped it with rags just to get the job done. Second issue is that if you are going across a slope with the right side of the trimmer on the downhill side, it will start to cut out like it's running out of gas. You have to keep the fuel level above a half a tank to keep it from doing this which means refueling often, taking more time to do the job. The owners manual says it can be used on up to a 15 degree slope, my property has only a 10 degree slope. Third issue is that the oil drain plug is at the base of the filler tube right above the deck, instead of underneath like a lawn mower. So, when you unscrew it to change the oil, oil goes all over the deck and right side axle. Before putting oil in it, I'd recommend you remove the plug and replace it with a bleed valve like on a brake system. That way you can use tubing to drain the oil without making a mess. Finally, like some others have mentioned, the height adjustment is a pain in the you know what. If you need to change cutting height often, do not buy this. At first I thought I'd return it, but it does do a pretty good job of cutting. It rarely bogs down at all even in the tall stuff. If you don't mind making some modifications to make it easier to use, then I'd recommend it. I'm a little surprised out of all the reviews, nobody else noticed what seems to me to be obvious issues. Hope this helps other people with their decision.
