I installed and connected the inverter to my shop, this is the only electricity I have in the shop, and I used my chop saw and hand saw to cut lumber to build a battery box, that afternoon. I was impressed it really worked.

I accidentally purchased the wrong watt inverter. Renogy assisted me with the return and promptly shipped this one. I'm pleased with my purchase.

I finally got the solar panels hooked up and am testing the inverter under a load. It seems to be performing well.

Good unit always works for me but considering the price I paid for it I'm not going to give up pat on the back because screws are falling out of it all the time and the nuts that hold them are all internal so I can't put them back in unless I disassemble the entire thing and the other scary thing is if a nut or other hardware like it come loose and fall off with power on you now have a risk of shorting something out. I would attach pictures but I have it mounted where it can't really be seen on the ends where the black screws are falling out. No other complaints though you can clearly see the difference in this inverter to a typical square wave inverter

Works great in our motorhome, however, I feel the lugs for 12 volt connection are a bit small.

Good converter for the money. I wish I had looked into them more before buying because too big for my needs but I got room to expand if needed.

So far....perfect! Tied to a bank of 3 AGM batteries (110ah) this inverter easily runs my 5000btu window A/C unit and my chest freezer (converter of a fridge.) with power to spare. It is whisper quiet and hopefully will perform this way for years to come!

Hi quality and great value for a pure sine wave inverter.

I am very pleased with this unit. I am using it to power a Lincoln Pro-MIG 135 for in-the-field welding. It handles maximum welder power settings with no problem.

This unit is rated at 3000 watts yet when the batteries are fully charged and the fridge kicks on, which only draws 1200 watts, the GFCI kicks into play shutting down power to my off-grid house. I have read multiple reviews and renogy is aware of this problem yet the will not fix it. I have teo of these units and if the dont fix it i will take them to small claims cause this is rediculous.

Haven't installed this yet but I'm in the process of getting into my race car trailer. I have watched alot of videos and I absolutely cannot wait to get this all installed and using it. So far what I see in the box and how easy this is going to be to install, this is going to be a great unit. I can't wait to use it everyweekend.

1)When installing the way I needed it to fit in my van the 3000 Watts lettering is upside down. No biggie as it is in the garage, but would have been nice to be able to flip it over, or just provide a decal to put on after installation. 2) The terminals on the AC output are way to small. You should be attaching #10 stranded wires to each terminal fir 25 amps and surges to 50 amps (6,000W). The terminals are too small to accept a #10 ring or fork connectors. Trying to get all the wires under the screw without a ring on the end means strands of wires sticking out all over as the terminal is too small. 3) The other issue is that the wire input on the terminal is facing whatever you are attaching the inverter to. This gives you 1" to get #10 wires to turn 90 degrees. A much better solution would be to have the connector turned 90 degrees so that the wires will attach in the same plane as the inverter, screws facing away from the backplate. Also a larger size that would accommodate #10 easily.

I ordered the Renogy 3000W inverter, and received it just a few days later. It is a replacement for an older Thor inverter. The Renogy is so much quieter. I use this inverter in my work van, and I am impressed with it’s performance, over the old one on the job. My electrical tools & equipment just run better, and more efficient. Going to get another, and the rest of the components for a solar power system to put in my cargo trailer.

Plug & Play - Works great ! Don't forget to get 4/0 AWG copper wire (with lugs) to connect this unit to batteries 4/0 is Very Thick wire. Do Not connect with smaller wire. The lugs to connect this thickness wire will not let you use the covers on the unit and you may need to trim the end of the lug down to fit post. Also the connector to the 110 is so small you have to use a bare lug because it’s not set up for a 10 AWG wire which is required because it’s over 20 amps. I think this is why the 3000 watt unit doesn’t come with wire. So far it is a great unit. Runs my RV with microwave just fine.

Got to use this before I ever mounted it in its vehicle. Took it to our annual boat light parade and used it to power about 300’ of LED and some laser light show decorations. We ran it for 6hrs off a 13Ah 12V battery. Never got hot and fans quietly cycled as they needed. Flawless. Easy. Clean and surly efficient!

Pretty awesome inverter. Works well in my cargo trailer conversion.

So far so good, no complaints , running in my shop and doing its job. Need more input power on the battery bank but that will com. Terminals a bit on the iffy side. I would expect something a bit more meaty. I am up and running with my first solar system and am happy with it. Thanks Renogy

I have an 8,000 watt off grid solar system with 80 -100-amp hour lead acid batteries and I use these inverters to power everything from Air Conditioners to microwaves and as long as you do not exceed the rated output with your combined loads, you will get great power to run your home.

I installed in our RV trailer to run all the 110v appliances when we boondock. It seems to be working very well. Best part is I originally bought a 1000watt inverter and it would not run my 900watt microwave. So we call in and they took it back with no questions and then we bought the 3000watt inverter. Customer service was very good.
