Fabulous improvement over our old 28-year-old tankless heater: much quieter, much faster, much more water. I installed it myself. It took me a full day's labor, but the directions included were clear and understandable. I spent about $200 in plumbing parts not included. Works perfectly.

I wish, i could give negative review. 9.5 GPM is a gimmick. This delivery as per customer service possible if you are in warmer area like Florida. I am in PA. After spending $1300 realize that it will deliver only 2 to 3 GPM since water is cold here.i should have been able to install two normal water heater for this price. Two shower wont work with this. Customer service is a joke. They are asking me to spend another $1300 and install second one if we need to use two showers in the same time.
Also this does not start if you don't run water for very long time. So concept is good, but worst product.

This is our second unit we had to have installed. The first unit had a large leak could not be repaired. After several phone calls to our local Home Depot and to customer service at HomeDepot.com, we finally had a new unit shipped to us overnight. Once that unit was installed it worked great.

We had a Bosch tankless water heater that was on the disabled list so to speak. Service folks did not do a very good job repairing it and it got worse. This new heater is working superbly so for it provides all the hot water one needs and whats more it doesn't cost that much to operate. It will pay for itself in a couple of years on energy savings from not having to keep the water heated. I would definitely recommend this heater. The only draw back to it is the estimate given on the phone for installation was nowhere near what it cost. $695 vs $1000. Maybe I could have gotten someone else but Home Depot recommended them.

As reported by other owners, the clip holding the copper pipe to the plastic elbow is loose resulting in a fail. When water is put to the heater it drenches the inside of the water heater and area heater located. This unit is defective/poorly constructed with regards to the clip design.

Unlimited Hot Water and Super Quiet
I ordered this unit as a replacement for our 40 gallon propane water heater. I installed it myself with a little assistance from my dad with some gas line modifications. After I received the unit and mounted it where it was to go, I then took an inventory of what additional parts and hardware would be needed to accomplish the install. After two days and a couple trips to the hardware store for a part or two not foreseen, it was done. If I had all of the hardware I needed the first time then I could have been done in one day and only a few hours.
After you mount it to the wall, the first thing I would recommend connecting is the water and conducting a water check for leaks before moving on to anything else and this is why. After I mounted mine, I connected the water and I went to conduct a water test to check for leaks. When I turned the water on to the unit water began gushing out of the unit. I immediately turned the water off and removed the cover of the unit. I noticed in the top right corner that one of the internal water line connections hadn't been clamped correctly and blew apart when I turned on the water. This was a problem from the manufacturer. I dried up all of the water inside and called the manufacturer to see if it was still safe to attempt to continue to operate the unit. They assured me that the unit would be fine to operate so with a bit of disassembly to reach the water line connection to reapply the clamp, I was able to reconnect it and reassembled everything back to the way it was supposed to be assembled. I again opened the water valve and this time, no leaks and no gushing. I've read that others have had this problem as well, so I would recommend that you remove the front cover from the unit and slowly open the water valve while watching the internal compartment to see if any water starts pouring out from any lines inside the unit. This should not happen, but if it does, shut the water off immediately and call the manufacturer to tell them what happened before taking anything apart to try to fix it. If you are installing the unit yourself then you probably have the skills to repair the problem yourself as well. If you're not confident about it though, do not chance it and send it back for one that is assembled correctly.
A few things to note: make sure that your gas line to the unit is 3/4". Same goes for your water lines to and from. If you are replacing a previous propane water heater you may have a 1/2" gas pipe coming up to your previous unit that will require tracing back to where it is necked down from 1" or 3/4" piping. This isn't to awfully hard but it does add more time to the install.
We've had the unit running for three weeks now and haven't had one issue with it. It is super quiet and, though you have to wait a few seconds for the hot water when you first turn on the faucet, you literally have unlimited hot water. That is, until your propane runs out. No more having the kids use all he hot water before you get a chance to take a shower. If you're concerned about the price, I was too. Not anymore. It also helps that my state offers an energy efficiency tax credit of 50% of the price between the wife and I.
I hope all of this helps and even after the little hiccup with the internal water line not being clamped, I still give this a 5 star. That is how much we love our new tankless water heater.

So far so good, it has been in service for 2 weeks now. I did the install myself, took some time, but nothing too difficult if you are familiar with plumbing. Provides continuous hot water. It did cut down my flow a bit, but still acceptable. I haven't had it long enough to determine a savings over my standard electric water heater. I wish there was a way to turn it up past 120 degrees, but understand that is a safety issue. It came with a nice vent/air inlet termination piece, the problem is that piece is made for the vent pipes to be at 4 1/2" on center, the heater is set up for the pipes to be at 5 1/2" on center so it does not fit. This problem needs to be addressed. Make sure that you have a place to run the condensation tube to a drain.
