The Richelieu Hardware Pneumatic Lift System worked great on the solid Ash armoire I built. The client appreciated that it helps her lift the heavy door for the top shelf and holds it open for her while she accesses the shelf inside.

Didn't accomplish my goal, I was hoping it would assist in lifting a heavy seat top. It does hold open safely, but doesn't offer reduce weight to lift or offer a slam proof finger mashing answer.

Excellent--and will they stand the test of time?
I installed these about two weeks ago and so far so good. They only need to be "started" and then they lift automatically so it took some getting used to. They have already relaxed a bit so hopefully they won't start wearing out any time soon. It's a pretty heavy door they are lifting so I am pleased they work so well.

Perfect Replacement
Arrived quickly and well packaged. Exact replacement for defective hinge on Euro kitchen. Tried to locate it everywhere and Home Depot was the only one that had it. Installation was a snap. Bought an extra to keep a spare on hand. Will continue to be a Home Depot customer for my needs.....very pleased!!!
