It sounds like you are experiencing some difficulty when installing the wedge kit with your device. All of our doorbells and cameras are designed to be a fairly simple DIY (do-it-yourself) installation. We strive to include all needed parts, tools, and instructions to make the process seamless for our customers. We include a variety of screws with the wedge kit. The shorter screws should be used to attach the mounting bracket to the wedge kit. Once the bracket is installed, the Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) should easily slide onto the bracket and be secured using the provided security screw. Hi Dissatisfied. With so many different Doorbell models, it can be confusing to find the correct accessory for your Doorbell. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction. Since you have the Video Doorbell 4, you will need to purchase the Wedge Kit for the Video Doorbell 4 specifically. Otherwise it will not be compatible. To properly mount the Wedge Kit, it's crucial that the flat side of the kit faces the wall. Otherwise, the provided screws won't be able to seat properly in their designated screw slots. Do you recall which side of the kit you placed towards the wall?

Having the proper installation instructions available to you is essential, as this ensures a quick and seamless set up. If you’re installing your Ring Video Doorbell Pro on a house with aluminum siding or on a house where the door is at the top of a set of stairs, our wedge kit is a great solution. The kit, once installed, will help catch a visitor’s motion but minimize "false positive" motion alerts, such as cars on the street.

Did you happen to install the included screw anchors as well?
