Hi Peppa.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We understand how important it is to be able to clearly see your property using your Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus. The features and technology provided by the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We would like to provide you with solutions to the video quality concerns you are experiencing today!
It sounds like the video quality from your device is not what you expected. The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus is an outdoor floodlight security camera that offers 1080p HD video. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity and video quality to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.
You will also want to ensure your wifi can provide adequate upload speeds for your Ring device. The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus has a recommended minimum upload speed of 2 Mbps per device. Upload speeds that are significantly lower can lead to degraded video quality and other performance issues. Contact your internet service provider if upload speeds are insufficient.
