Tankless and didn't take much space. It came with new home purchase. Its great and exceed expectations during Fall and Summer and during Sprint season. Not a great during Winter seasons. Even it works on live when hot water is discharged, Water is still cold during winter season and it would waste lot of water until you get hot/warm water.

Water temperature could be a little hotter.

This item and install were done to get HOT water to our water outlets much faster. But that does not seem to be happening. It still takes a while and then the water that does arrive is only luke warm. The system does NOT seem to keep the water "hot" even though it is set to operate 24/7.

Its quit, quick and very efficient and you never run out of hot water, I installed it myself was very easy and straight forward! I have nothing negative to say about it. It been installed for about 2 years. Its everything and more than i hoped for!

I am over 65 and have used hot water heaters my entire life. Usually it would take anywhere from 15 to 40 seconds to get hot water at the faucet location in the house. With this product it takes anywhere from 60 to 90 seconds.

The only complaint that is the max temp, 120F , it too low for tub baths.

Our tankless hot water heater provides us with continuous hot water with minimal noise.

Have to set dishwasher on extra heat setting. It uses multiple short bursts of "hot" water which is not hot. If you need a pan of hot water you have to waste about 3 gallons before heater catches up. This is in a new home built Nov 2022. When this one quits I'm going back to a tank heater.

In extremely cold weather it takes a while to get hot water. But my house is a single level on a slab foundation so I know it’s going to take a minute or two. But I always have hot water, always.

This is a very nice unit, great water pressure , heats very quickly, maintains even heat distribution. My only issue is that maybe I missed it but the unit must be vented out a side wall. The duct work is very costly to do this. Also unless you are a dealer I was not able to contact Rinni direct.

The tankless heater worked great..

Although we like the efficiency of gas, we use more water waiting for hot water to reach us verses the old, very old electric water heater.

Only a week and I love the efficiency! The gas is only used as needed rather than turning on for twenty minutes every other hour regardless of usage on the tank heater. The overall gas usage has already dropped tremendously! Not running out of hot water before a task is done is also an enormous plus! No more having to wait twenty minutes for the tank to reheat as water in use cools forcing use of a full second tank to complete said task.

Continuous hot water available using less natural gas.

Awesome water heater and hope it lasts longer than the Chinese models ( AO Smith Sucks). The venting requirements are ridiculous however in my opinion. I would give it 5* if the venting wasn't such a big deal. Shouldn't be.

I haven't been able to hook it up yet. I have secured it to the wall and have it vented out. All that is left is to connect the natural gas and water lines to it. From what I have been told, I should save lots of money using it.

The installation was easy, and in a tight location. It works flawlessly. It was installed in September of 2022. Meets all expectations.

We like the small footprint it. It saves a lot of space opposed to what we were used to with other water heaters. I only wish we could set the temperature a little bit higher. Other than that, we love it.

The builder put the cheapest Rinnai water heater on the house and it took up to seven minutes just to get water in the kitchen. I contacted a local Rinnai dealer and he said that they could not add the circulation option to the basic unit that the builder installed, so I purchased a recirculating version. We now have instant hot water whenever we need it. Highly recommend this water heater but not the cheap builder grade one.

Device is extremely loud in the garage. Long wait for hot water, longer than a tank water heater.

I was told that instant hot water would available almost immediately. Definitely not the case. We have to wait several minutes for the hot water in the back master sinks to warm up and the kitchen sink takes FOREVER.. we did raise the temp but that hasn't helped. So far, not impressed. 5 months into a new home.

This water heater takes way too long to send heated water throughout the home!

The unit is compact giving more space in the garage. It is not hard to perform maintenance and has been reliable so far. The issues I had are: if you don't have power, you won't have water so it's a good idea to invest in some type of battery backup like Jackery. In the winter time, the water is super cold and takes 1 to 2 minutes to get warm. With that being said, it is still better than the traditional water heater.

The heating sensor went bad on the unit in consecutive years. Rinnai replaced the first unit but would not cover the second. Rinnai claimed that my tap drinking water was the cause. If the unit is not built well enough to handle drinking water for more than one year, then why would any consumer choose to buy a unit for their home?

This was installed in my new construction home. Takes a while for the hot water to arrive, but easy to maintain.

have had it about 11 months, takes too long to get hot water to the faucet and when you turn off for a minute the water gets cold. stays hot when you shower but so does a 50 gallon tank.
