returned because tankless apparently has some reliability issues, had a TON of plumbers reject installation quotes because of said unreliability. overall it looked good on arrival though, so not gonna knock it really since I haven't tried it. But just be aware, you'll be looking at getting a water recirculation pump, water softener, etc.

I have had this for 2 months so far...working as advertised. It is very quiet.

This tankless water heater does exactly what I hoped, it made my wife happy because it never runs out of hot water! It doesn't take 15 seconds or so longer for hot water to appear but no complaints about that yet. A local handyman installed it in a day, with beautiful copper pipes, great all around!

It works nicely, looking forward to this lasting a few years.

I think this tankless water heater will save energy and money over the old tank unit. Our only disappointment is that it still takes a while to get hot water to the back of the house. Also, apparently, we need to either pay for or do maintenance on it at least once a year or more. That was never explained before we purchase it.

The product looked awesome and so were the reviews. I had to return the product because I was quoted the install was twice the cost of the Tankless Water Heater. Note: I was replacing an electric water heater.

Compact, supplies great hot water

This is our first tankless experience. And have to say that so far, it has been very good. Install takes some knowledge, but running it has been flawless. Recommend for sure.

We have had the Rianni for about 2 weeks now and love the consistent hot water. Our plumber seemed to have an easy install with it. We went from a old tank water heater to this and had no issues with that process.

Takes about 10 sec longer for hot water to arrive at tap compared to a tank heater. Much more efficient and only runs when you use it, instead of keeping a whole tank of water hot 24/7 for nothing

So far it has worked great. I had to review the installation several times to install it up to code. You will need two drains (one for the condensation and a separate one for the overflow and they should not be the same pipe). The isolation valves are good quality and simple to install. It is working great and produces consistent and constant hot water. I am very happy.

This unit works great. However, if you ever build out or use a recirculation pump, get the RUR model rather than the accessory adding it later. I wish I did that but both work the same, less installation with the built in. Might be cheaper too.

So far so good. Only been a month but it works great. DIY install wasn’t too difficult.

Tank conversion, Easy install, fan is a little noticeable but turns off minutes after use

This is my first tankless, I am not a plumber but I installed it by myself, very easy installation and operation. BUT I am wasting a lot of water waiting for hot water. Solution: External recirculation pump. Problem: very expensive

For our single story 4 BR/2 BA, this was a perfect choice. We decided to go from a standard gas water heater to a gas tankless. As they say, a standard tank unit lasts about 10 years. And it is so true: we did replace two unit in last 20 years or so. So, we are hoping that this will last longer as they say it will. Some say that the hot water takes longer to come out. And it may be true, but it is not anything that aggravates you waiting for hot water. Since we just had it installed, we will see how much saving this will create compared to a standard unit. Rinnai is actually very well established brand in Japan. Almost every house hold in Japan has some sort of water heater from this brand. So, I will trust the quality knowing this fact. We have also installed a whole house water filtration/softner at the same time, hoping that this will keep the calcium build-up to minimum.

We have had this a little over 1 week, replaced a 50 gallon power vent tank heater. The Rinnai is much quieter than the power vent. Water temperature is much more consistent than the tank heater. It does take a bit more time for hot water to reach the faucet compared to the tank heater, however only about 15 to 20 seconds more. Professional installation through Home Depot, was very good, however after being how simple it was it could be done easily by a good DYI homeowner.

Everything went as planned and the price was in line with the online wholesalers I checked. Couldn’t be happier

The actual product is great. Arrived on time when ordered. I was very disappointed in the installation partner process. The local partner assigned by HD quoted 2 to 3 weeks for an appointment just to provide an estimate. I called a local plumber and received a quote and installation in 2 days. I would have rated 5 stars if not for installation.
