We purchased the 8' x 16' greenhouse and it looks great - the problem was that the instructions and the assembly videos on-line are not adequate - they make it seem so easy to assemble when in fact you need to pay close attention to what you are trying to build - by trial an error, I revised a number of the assembly procedures to improve the fit-up. There are additional improvements I would have liked to have made had I had the experience with the initial assembly. We have gotten great comments as to the look of the greenhouse and automatic roof vents work just as they are designed to - we are happy with our purchase but we still need to see how it holds up during the New England winter. Ordering it thru Home Depot worked out great to - especially the delivery / pick-up aspect! The size we purchased came in 5 boxes which easily fit into 2 SUV's and the boxes were labeled and filled with the necessary parts. It was beneficial to layout and assemble al of the like parts together as well.

I would probably recommend it overall (for the price) BUT any potential purchaser needs to be aware that the lower (clear) windows are incredibly flimsy (thin) - and buckle very easily e.g. if you happen to press against, or push, them for any reason be careful they don't pop out. However, the main issue we have with the greenhouse is that the green horizontal struts on the 1st level down from the top (e.g. in line with bottom of the window opening) are about 1/2" - 3/4" too short (& so the connectors at each end of these don't really hold them in place very well) which means it slides either left or right, resulting in almost 1" gaps in the roof which allows the rain to come in. We are trying to find a solution to this. Once put together, the greenhouse looks pretty good.

Good quality as pictured on website. Has cables for hurricane code essentials. The directions are 80 pages and took 4 days for complete assembly with the many parts.

The installation was relatively smooth. Careful attention to the instructions is required. Customer support was very helpful when parts had to be replaced. Kudos for the overall fit of components. The further into the installation the stronger the unit became. We will need to install an exhaust fan to draw the heat out. The roof vents are not enough to regulate temperature. The one caveat don't be mislead by the videos and assembly time. which says completed in 2 days , 2 weeks is more realistic. But in the end the Rion appears to be a solid product. It has already withstood some high wind conditions with no damage.

The instructions are difficult to go by. If you are not mechanical inclined, I would ask for help. I got this in October. I would not recommend building this in winter. Green house is mostly plastic. My brother helped to assemble in about 5 days. We preheated plastic in garage to make it more pliable. The problems we had were assembling the roof. It was so cold we could not push the top bracket into place. We had to pound it in with a mallet. Which broke some top supports for end caps. Also we could not put in both roof panels at same time. We used clamps to pop in top bracket to seal panels on one side then We had to slide roof panels in. Very difficult. Also the pegs we put in kept popping out and launching all over the yard I found holding the peg in place with one hand and pushing worked well. It’s all assembled and looks great.

Can withstand very little wind. Vents very week, no door stops for second door.

Very difficult to assemble

I would not buy this product if you have any wind in your area. I am a very conciencious builder who takes the time to get everything right. I read the reviews and saw folks responding with their buildings collapsing from wind. I assumed they didnt do things right. Mine did not collapse yet, but several parts have been blown off the roof. I even spent a lot if extra time and money putting all kinds of reinforcements in this greenhouse to go beyond what was expected. Saddly, now i have to do lots of repair work after these 20 to 30 mile an hour winds die down. I would not buy this product again. It certainly cannot handle 55 mile an hour winds as advertised.

Very dissatisfied with this product. Very cheaply made for the large amount of money it costs. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. Advertising is very misleading, it is NOT quick and easy setup. States lock and pin system, unfortunately you find out after its been delivered what their version of that means. I have wasted almost $2500 on a flimsy cheap greenhouse.

All received on time and only one defective part - Door Latch, which Palram U.S. customer service replaced immediately no questions asked. Assembled it all myself in 4 days. Satisfied.

The panels were more flimsy than expected. Instructions not the best for this item.

Love it! Excellent. Excited to start our veg. garden and tomatoes in this greenhouse!

Assembly was fairly simple when you follow the directions step by step and have a lot of patience. Also, fit the pieces together before fastening. As with any molded products, you may find excess edges you may need to trim (specifically the polycarbamate panels). I am using it as a solarium where I have my smoker set up and next to a fire place on my deck (cheaper than spending $15,000 to $30,000). I left out two of the rear polycarbamate panels and the lower center upright while reinforcing the inside of the horizontal cross tubes with a 3 ft long 1/2" electrical conduit. I gave it a four due to the roof center caps being snap together rather than fastened with screws. One of the caps blew off in the heavy wind and in order to put it back on I had to disassemble two of the roof panels. I then used stainless steel screws to fasten them down this time. I am amazed how solid this is once finished. Amazing sitting buy a fire outside your house in a thunderstorm and staying completely dry!

This little greenhouse looks terrific but I don't think it's insulated enough for over wintering. It was difficult to put together because the pieces didn't always want to go together. The screws were not numbered but just about everything else was. It requires a lot of patience to put together. I love the look and will enjoy working in it. The vent window wasn't well thought out. We had to make it more secure so the wind doesn't catch it and blow it open.

The geenhouse was very difficult to build the directions were terrible. So glad they had plenty of pictures. It's a 2 person job and you'll need 2 1/2 days to build. ONCE BUILT IT'S VERY STURDY AND I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

This green house is generally well built. It took two of us three day to put it together. It with stood a 30 mph wind the first day it was up and I had not yet put the ceiling cables in which brings me to the complain #1. The ceiling cables have swedged ends. Two of the cables came appart while installing. I rounded up new ends and hammered them good and tight. Problem solved. #2. The door without the handle has an upper and a lower dead bolt which are used to secure the doors. Both dead bolts had to be re-drilled and fitted so that the doors would stay closed. #3. The hinging on the ceiling vents needs to be re-engineered. The hinging at the rear of the vents comes loose if a wind gust catches the vent just right. I fixed this with a 16 " long piece of 3/4' alluminin angle strip and two real hinges. We have had 30 mph wind gusts since and every thing stayed together. The windowing is solid and the house is screwed down to a 4"x 4" frame with cement tie downs. It should last for a good long time and I am happy with the purchase and my wife is delighted which makes me especially happy. The pictured step by step pictured instruction manual is very good. The kit came without any missing parts.

I think this product is great but there were a few issues preventing a five star review. Can’t go into detail with only 300 characters here, but I’d just say if you are not mechanically inclined do not attempt to assemble this. Unpacking and labeling everything is important!!

I would absolutely not recommend. The product was decent and relatively easy to put together, but we were missing 32 pieces out of the 6 boxes that came. Then we got the run around from Palram for several weeks just trying to get the parts that were missing. To date, still have not received the missing pieces. Customer service with Palram is absolutely horrid. I would not recommend anything this company makes to anyone, no matter where you buy it.

This will be a great greenhouse if we ever get it put together. My wife and I have been at it for almost a week. The picture only directions have a lot to be desired. Pieces are not that simple to put together as illustrated in the pictures.

This is our first greenhouse from Rion. I was initially disappointed in the pane thickness and will have to see if it holds up. A rock from a mower will likely go right thru. Also, the measurements given by home depot are inaccurate. We built a foundation on those measurements and when the unit arrived, it was 3" off in both directions. Measure first if you buy one. Instructions are just adequate and it is important to sort all the parts and read ahead.

I bought this a few months ago and it is falling apart. It claims to be weather proof yet a simple light windstorm tore off the door and some of the Windows! I have contacted the company and all I have received is rude customer service and hang up calls. The assembly was not quick nor easy it was beastly to put together and the locking pins didn't like to work properly. The vents that were provided were bent and broken when it came and I have yet to receive any assistance from the manufacturer or Home Depot. All in all I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

After extencive research I finally decided on the Grand Gardener which has turned out to be the best move I've made in quite a long while. Having an 8ft by 20ft Greenhouse is a delight to work in, we've been able to plant just about all our Vegies and herbs in a safe place out of reach of the Bambies and Thumpers that seemed to injoy our garden more than we do. The only down side I found with this project is the woofully inadequate construction manual, lots of pictures and no text to explain what goes where, turned out to be somewhat like a giant gigsaw puzzle, with this handycap building this greenhouse in two days with two men is not going to happen. I have to say though that in spite of the frustations the end results are absolutley fantastic,couldn't be any Happyer, thanks Homedepot.

This is not a product for someone that cannot follow pictures in detail. There are about 500 parts to this thing and if you don't follow the directions step by step, I doubt that you would ever get it together. I like the finished product and it faired well in 30 mile per hour winds and rain with no leaks. The shipping quality was great, only one incorrect part.
