This stuff will do in a pinch i guess, but is much thinner than what I am use to. I decided to try this because Home Depot's Web Site (as of the date of this comment) states that it is 11 ounces, (its not) & it was also .50 cents cheaper than my normal stuff. I normally use Black Jack roof cement which is much thicker & tackier. With this stuff, if you are gluing down a shingle, its so thin the shingle slides down if you don't put something on it to hold it. Not sure of drying time yet. I believe I will be returning this the next time I go by HD. Not going to make a special trip for $2, but I'm not happy with this purchase & although it may be good for some things, I don't really recommend this product for gluing down shingles that have been torn off by the wind on a 12/12 pitch roof

Excellent stuff - used this to seal up a small roof on a new shed - sealed up the joint between the brick house the the shingles, sealed nail heads, etc. A single tube goes a long way and this seals out water perfectly.
