Excellent and reliable construction as well as well fitted lid. I attached the lid with zip ties and galvanized wire on one side so it doesn’t blow away. It doesn’t crack or dent because it’s pliable so I really like it.I also placed our house number on it on the can and on the lid with sticker stencils and cover with transparent moving tape. There’s been no problems with it.

Amazing can recycle

The container is light and easy to handle. The lid fits well. I had one before that was hit by a car and smashed and torn. I pushed the dents out and put duck tape over the tear. I still used it for a couple of years and now it is a spare.

I like the sturdiness of the Roughneck recycling Bin. You can throw it around and all it does is bounce around. It holds a lot more because of the size.

I use this as a RO/DI storage container...and even after being patched from mistakenly being shot with a blow-dart(see pic) and pulled around full of water...it's still strong. If I decide to retire this as my water storage container...I'm confident it could hold recycle :) .

The roughneck line is great! I've owned 4 of these bins for over 10 years and they are still in their original condition with locking lids. I recently purchased two of these recycling bins and love them. They are very strong and even look nice in my garage for recycling.

My wife purchased two of these recycling bins when we first moved into our new home in October 2013 for the recycling pickup. Since then, the recycling pickup cans have changed to the new automated loader type meaning these cans are now used for general refuse. The can pictured in this review was used to hold all of the plaster wall taken down when the walls in a closet started falling down under their own weight. The can held the entire project plaster wall refuse with no problem, despite it probably weighing close to 300-400 lbs. We have since been discarding small quantities each week from this can to make it more manageable. Overall, I am very impressed with the quality of the construction of this item. As far as the lid getting eaten by squirrels, well, the little pests will eat just about anything not made of metal, so I can't fault the can for getting damaged, though it did take over a year for the lid damage to occur.

These cans are perfect for what I needed for the job

The recycling bins meet the size requirements our garbage company set for extra recycling bins not provided by the company o itself. The only problem with them is that they are very lightweight and blow over if there is much of any wind. I have to weight the lid down with a brick to combat that.

Love this item. Its perfect !

I had one before, overtime the lid split. There was nothing wrong with the bin, but I had to buy another set. It should be so that one can buy lthe lid separately.
