Bought this product. Followed all istructions. Also wire brushed and double acid etched. 8 months later its wearing off literally everywhere. Garage looks worse thab when i started and my only option now is to live with it or sand it down and use a product that works. What I would give to have never bought this worthless stuff.

Not a good product to use when humidity is above 60%. Dry time 5 days now and still tacky. Would not use this system again.

So mad! $480 later after purchasing every item needed, 4 people and many hours invested performing every step as described, and exactly one week later it can not handle hot tires as it said it can. We returned home from a one hour drive, parked in the garage, and the next morning pulled out and it peeled up under 3 out of 4 of the tires. We had been driving in and out, parking, turning tires on it and everything for 4 days prior with no problems so it has to be due to the hot tires. I haven't even begun to research what the best way is to fix it now and the thought of spending more money and time to do so is incredibly frustrating!

Etching the floor is easy with a pump sprayer, cleaning it up takes at least 3-4 times of squeegee and mop. mixing bag within a bag thoroughly takes probably 4-5 minutes. Next time (basement floor) I might just squirt them into a bucket and mix by hand. A big deep roller pan is needed, its like spreading around cold syrup. roll over each pass several times to ensure equal coverage, it also helps ensure catalyst is mixed thoroughly. This took two days to cure fully, still tacky after 17 hours. Looks good, so far holding up to traffic. Shine varies across the floor, clear coat will go on later so no big deal. Does not cover anywhere near the maximum amount, 320 sq ft is pretty much the maximum coverage.

  • Easy to use - Just follow the directions

We were looking for a tough, safe coating for the floor of my wife's office/craft room Carpet was out because she might be working with hot glue and stuff like that. While we liked the prospect of a glue down hardwood, she felt it would not work well either. Since this is a basement, we considered an acid stain but ended up going with epoxy coating designed for garage floors. This product was very easy to use. Just be sure to follow the directions. The etching process ended up taking a long time since we had to do repeated rinses to get all of the residue off the floor. Since this was a basement, I couldn't just hose it down. I had to bring in buckets, scrub, and then use my wet/dry vac to suck up the water. If you plan to use this inside the house, be sure to have a wet/dry vac for the process of cleaning the etching residue. In a garage, you could just hose out and broom out the excess water. The coating itself was VERY easy to apply. Again, just follow the directions for mixing and be sure to let the product sit the designated number of minutes before applying. Keep a wet edge as you do each section. We opted not to use the paint chips. The floor looks good. We are very happy.

Pros Easy to Apply, Even Application, Good Coverage, Very Adhesive

I have used this product on many other garages with no problem. This time I purchased a 2.5 kit and a one car kit. I was extremely disappointed with the results. You could see two different colors of tan and different shines. I had to get more kits and go over the garage floor four days later.

  • Don’t be intimidated!

I am a 50 year old woman, but I do love painting. I researched many floor paints, epoxyshield, granites, etc and decided to use this product, gray. I also used 3 clear coats for a 2 1/2 car garage. After watching many videos on tricks, tips, and knowledge accumulation, I started my project! I filled concrete cracks, concrete cleaned (with a concrete cleaner), etched with citric acids and applied the epoxy. I love this product, the ease, the packaging and the outcome. We used 6 extra bags of chips and mixed with the metallic silver. Be careful not to re-roll the clear coat. My floor is beautiful and my garage is transformed. Don’t be intimidated, just go for it.

Great product! Have used several times now in different garages. I actually got more square footage than the box advertised. I did a thin coat but still offers good protection and great cosmetic appeal.

I used this product 14 years ago in our 2002 new home's garage. I've been really pretty rough on it over the years, including an engine rebuild job, and it is showing some wear, but overall, it still look pretty good, so I decided to use it in our 2016 new home. It might not look quite as good as some of the pricier options, but, hey, it's only a garage, right? It's easy to work with, low odor, reasonably priced, and it looks pretty good
