I recently painted the ceilings on my first floor. When they were finished I realized the ceiling vents and recessed light canisters needed some sprucing up. Not only did they look dull/gray/yellow next to the ceiling white, some were a little worn. I'm not ready to install new lights yet, so I decided to paint them and the vents for now.
I have always had good luck with rustoleum products so I decided to try this one. I did use 2 coats, altho I think one would have been enough. I just didn't like the first coat because I used a paint brush and you could tell. So the second coat, I ran over them with a little roller and the finish is much better looking.
Now the vents & recessed lights look just as fresh as the ceiling and it was just what was needed to make everything look finished.
Overall I am really happy with the results. I did buy 2 cans so that when I get to the upstairs, the whole house will match. But one can is probably enough, because one coat really is enough. I'm sure I will find other uses for this paint tho so too much is not a problem!
I do recommend it and the price is really a good value. I have included before and after pix.
Read the directions on the can and follow them. You won't be disappointed.
Even Application, Easy to Apply, Easy Instructions, Good Coverage, Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, Looks Great, Dries Quickly
Used this on sun faded window frames & they turned out fabulous. I also sprayed it on 2 downspouts that had house paint goofs & they turned out great also. It's an oil paint so expect to get some thinner or mineral spirits for reducing & clean up. I used an HVLP so it really wasn't bad. It brushed well also. It has like a gold metal-flake that shows in the sunlight. I like it & will buy it again. A Qt. goes a long way.

Dries to more of an eggshell finish, which was great for me.
Instructions say do not use roller, however on a larger surface by all means use a roller and brush out if you want.
This paint covers very well over a gray primer but put on at least 2 coats preferably 3. . Sand each coat with a 220 and for the final coat 400 grit. Make sure you sand well enough to remove the "Shines" or your final coat will not be as smooth as you would like especially if adding polyurethane. Allow 24 hours between each coat depending on temperature.
As with all latex paints the final cure can take from 7 - 30 days to fully cure hard.
Add a teaspoon or so of water as the dry time is way too quick.
I stumbled on this paint several years ago. It's matallic color is very appealing. I have used it to paint my entry doors, floor registers, garage door and other metallic assessories throughout my house. It makes a very appealing and unique look and people often ask me where I got this paint. It's a great look!
I have used this paint on many furniture applications, cabinets, and for trim. In the past I had used other paints designed for trim and when it would dry, it would be tacky. This paint dries quickly, is not tacky when dry and seems to be very durable. I would recommend this paint to anyone with a project. I should mention that I have only used the semi-gloss white.

I come from Europe and we have gold, silver and copper paint at every paint store. After a very long search I found this amazing paint, and believe me, you will not be disappointed with your purchase! It leaves a lovely aged patina and the copper is so warm and makes your home so inviting!
I bought a case of this, and will be buying more. I'm working on an historic building, and the other gold paints I tried either look cheap or don't cover properly - this is the real thing and worth it. Do buy the smaller cans, even if you need a lot - it goes a long way and will dry up if you use too much in a tray. It does drip, and is also difficult to remove from carpeting, clothes, and hair, as it needs a serious solvent - make sure you use a plastic tarp under your regular cloth one and check your shoes. It will gum up your brushes after a few hours - but an overnight soaking in turpenoid, and your brushes will look like new. This is the best paint I've found for doing fine detail work with small brushes.
