We painted a pantry with this for a chalkboard i. The kitchen by the door and its perfect. We did two coats and tried it and then decided it needed a third coat. Smooth and perfect even over a laminent cupboard. We just lightly sanded the finish off first and its holding up great

For a small area or a flat surface but far to thin to apply to a large are vertically. About the consistency of wood stain. Almost impossible to cut in free hand and will soak though the blue 3m tape. I normally cut in acrylic latex with a 4” brush without any issues....this paint is to thin to apply with a brush. It would probably spray very well but brushes and rollers requires very thin coat....extremely thin. It says it’ll cover about 90-120 square feet. After trying to cut in with a brush I sanded what I had done ( about 12 inches) off and started again. I applied a coat so thin that I finally finished with the 7th coat on a 96 square foot area with one quart. 7 96 square foot coats of paint from one quart. That’s a seriously thin coat of paint......and there are still places where I am going to have to feather out imperfections and re-coat. I’m sure it’s a good enough product for what it is for but do not think it’s anything like normal acrylic latex house paint. It’s a chore to apply without runs and brush / roller marks. I didn’t try spraying because the area was so small had it been consistent with normal paint it was a 45 minute job. I’ve got about 6 hours in it and will have another 2-3 when it’s acceptable.

Paint can had opened in shipment and had filler the plastic bag with paint. Was not able to use any of it. Don't buy paint online

It was hard to work with. The magnetic base was clumpy. Just could never get it consistent. Also it isn’t very magnetic. Small mags work best. Larger ones slide and fall off.

After multiple applications, the paint worked well on sheet rock. Chalk comes off so so - requires a damp cloth to get it all off.

Application was easy enough. I applied 3 coats and conditioned the surface as recommended. I was disappointed that regular chalk scratched the surface, leaving faint images when erased. It would only be acceptable if you faintly applied the chalk. Liquid chalk was another matter entirely... if you left it on for a few hours, it could not be fully removed.

Paint works but is latex so it’s not going to look like a real chalkboard. You’re able to write on it just fine but is very delicate if painted on metal surface to use as a magnetic chalkboard. I say delicate in the sense that it is not durable, it chips and scratches very easily, I used a primer as well under the chalkboard paint. No experience on other surfaces. Use for decorative purposes only I would say

Applying paint with the recommended roller is best. Tundra Apply evenly with first coat. Follow directions. After second coat dries and paint has cured, the surface works just like a blackboard.
