Very nice matte finish - subtle but noticeable, as compared to high gloss. I used this outdoors on an old mail box (scrape the loose stuff) and a long section of steel fencing. I got pretty good coverage and the over spray is not too bad. You only have to shake the can a minute, not like the old days when it was more.It says it's okay to use on rusted surfaces and I did that. Again, I still got good coverage. I am happy to cover the rust and that's the best part of this product.

I used this black hammered spray paint on a pair of plastic googles that were red but we needed to make black for an up coming Halloween costume and it worked great! This paint went on very easy and evenly covered the red. It also stuck to the plastic with ease. It gives the finished product a great metal look! It is matte black which I love but it also gives the appearance that the finish has been "hammered" or "dented" some how! I have no idea how that is even possible but I really love this finish! It would be great to use on so many things!

With a little roughing up it made our patio set look brand new again!

I was always a big fan of Rust-Oleum paints weather spray or brush on. In this case I was looking to paint my fire pit which the elements got the best of. Did as the can instructed and removed the loose rust with a wire brush and also dust and dirt. The application went smoothly. Nice even spray, dried quickly to the touch and the color is perfect making the fire pit looking like new. Used one full can for the coverage of the fire pit.

It worked perfectly for what I had to do.

Used the hammered version to dress up an air intake vent and a vent cover for a ceiling fan. Coats metal and plastic very well..dries quickly, beautiful finish.

Good paint, nice color, but I think most of you people are being too nice. It's a lot harder to achieve the "Hammered" effect. Thanks to Kentech 2 I finished my project. Unlike the company line, that the effect is achieved with the second coat, it's more like the fourth or fifth coat. This costs more money as you use more paint. I don't remember this with the old Hammerite paint. I am going to try Hammerite again and see. (I found Hammerite spray paint on E-Bay.) I like Rustoleum but I'm dissappointed in this Hammered Paint.

I used this to paint my boring black patio chairs and the result is beautiful! The paint went on silky smooth with minimal effort. Since it is Rustoleum I know it will hold up well for years to come. I would definitely recommend this product.

I recently used this spray paint to spruce up a metal plant stand that is used outdoors during the summer. I chose this hammered gold color as a more sophisticated alternative to glossy gold and I was not disappointed. The color on the can top is pretty accurate. I have always had good success with Rust-oleum products and this one was no exception. The can covered my project well and as long as you maintain suggested spray distance, there is no dripping. Needless to say, cover all nearby flooring etc and do the spraying outdoors or in a very well-ventilated area. Apply paint directly to the object without primer. They say you can apply over rust but best to wire brush as much of that away beforehand. The job will look nicer.

I had an accessory box that was all rusty and needed painting bad! I sanded it on all sides and used this Enamel spray paint applied three full coats and also two touch ups after the initial three coats. It turned out great, if I had some tool company logos to stick on it would look new. I am pleased with the way the paint spray worked and how well it covered. There were some spots that the original paint was down to the metal spraying over the entire box filled those small imperfections.

My wife and I found this paint to be an excellent finishing spray paint with gorgeous color on our 10 year old faded outdoor swing. I have posted pictures of the before and after painting results. The paint does dry nice and quick, 15 minutes just as product is described to do. It has a comfortable finger tip spray nozzle for the ease of spraying and not getting finger fatigue as well as it works well at any angle, even upside down. This swing only had 2 blemish areas and I think you can see from the photos how the paint covers up scratches. I would advise shaking well while applying. I am happy with the results as this old swing looks great after a quick 15-20 minute spray job. One can covered this frame with one coating. It will take a second can to cover the swing. This is a very nice product that I would recommend and purchase again for further projects.

It has only been a few weeks since I sprayed our metal patio set with this, so far so good. It dried fast and looks a lot better. Not so hammered, but it gave it a nice texture. I am happy with the results.

This product, in ivory, acted as more of a tint than a conventional paint. Painted over white primer, however, it provided a beautiful finish.

I like the old school hammered finishes and this replicates it pretty well for a rattle can. To the guys who didn't get the hammered effect, slow down. My initial tests came out like just silver paint as well, but then noticed the can said to apply at "moderate speed." Slowing down your sweeps creates the effect. The closer you get to leaving sags without leaving sags, the deeper the hammering.

I love this paint, I use it on everything from cabinet doors to picture frames and gates!

I have a @50 year old tire bubble balancer. These were common place in the 1960's and 70's; most every gas/service station had one. This one was covered completely in grease. Once the filth was scraped off, its original gold color was visible, as well as some bare steel and minor rust. A complete cleaning (inside and out); light sanding, and masking got it prepared for painting. A coat of Rust-Oleum #249322 self etching gray primer was allowed to briefly "flash" dry, and then the Rust-Oleum hammered gold color was applied. One can would have been just enough to cover the exterior, but the bottom and some areas inside also needed painting so a second can was used. The photo you see is the end result. There is no way to know what the original paint was, but there couldn't be a closer match. That area below the balancing head shows the original decal and original color, wow!

I was expecting a dark bronze what I got was a dark silver. Doesn't even resemble a bronze tone. It might be due to going over a gold tone but I doubt it.

We've had a set of tin pumpkins for years and it was time for a touch up. My wife suggested Copper Spray Paint and I was a bit apprehensive. But after the purchase and apply the spray coat, I was pleasantly surprised and it looked like new.

Like all Rust-Oleum paints the paint flows easy and covers well. I have used this paint on two different types of projects. The first was to refinish some faded old gray resin garden statues. I made sure they were clean and dry before painting them. They now look like expensive bronze sculptures. Even after sitting out in the extreme Utah weather (Buried in snow to 100 degree heat) for a couple of years they still look fine. The second project was for a Halloween prop. I made a plaque out wood and raised letters. I painted it with this paint to make it look like a bronze plaque.

This product was carried in the store until early 2016. Now it needs to be ordered on line. Not very convenient, but I had started a large band saw restoration project and did not want to switch materials.

Easy application, great looking finish. I refinished all the cabinets and drawers in a small kitchen in about 8 total work hours. You do need to allow the product to cure/dry in between applications so the whole job will take about 3 days. Great value, the product goes a long way. I only used about 1/3 of the kit (and applied 2 coats). Unable to comment on durability as the job was just completed recently, but it seems to have a very good, hard shell finish (from the clear coat). In all, I loved this product. Two different, unbiased people thought I purchased new cabinets! Color used was "Castle."

Product was used as part of a recondition of a thoroughly corroded wheelbarrow. After derusting and sanding, the wheelbarrow was primed with Rust-Oleum Rusty Metal Primer, and finished with Rust-Oleum Hammered Black 7215830 (frame and wheel) and Rust-Oleum Hammered Bright Red 7217830 (tray).

I always use Rustolium products. Have used them for at least 20 yrs. I painted an old rusty patio table 20 yrs ago and it is still in use today and looks as good as it did when I first painted it.

The spray paint went on well without dripping, and the quality was excellent. I used it on a reclaimed desk that was going to be thrown out, and it turned out great!

Having used this product on more than 6 individual projects, I knew the out come of the most recent challenge of a glass patio table restoration to be another satisfying result. My daughter was relegating the table to the curb side pick up when I saw it and immediately recognize another opportunity for Rustoleum Hammered Spray paint. to bring it back to life. The finish was a matte finish (rusting through the surface paint) which I found to be a perfect condition to work with. As I dismantled the table, I could visualize the Rustoleum Hammered paint in a Bronze color with the Copper color for accents. Prep to painting was easy and with new hardware, the results were phenomenal. The spray feature covered many defects caused by weathering and made the whole project a speedy & complete event. The results of my efforts made it appear better than when it was purchased. Thank you Rustoleum & Home Depot.

I was worried about buying this paint due to past experiences with textured paints, But this changed my out look on these paints. I did just as the directions stated and I'm very happy with the results
