I had the old gold door handles and hinges all over my house and wanted to update to the oil bronze handles but after pricing them out it was too expensive? So I decided to try spray painting the old gold ones and see if I could update that way? it was time consuming taking them off and putting them on after spraying them but in reality if I changed them out I would have had to take them off and put the new ones on so probably a wash and these handles already fit the holes in the doors and I didn't have alter anything? They look great and I had 14 doors to do hinges, handles, and piece to hold the button in on the wall all for 3cans of spray paint at about $15.00. Well worth it and a great DIY project.

The hammered black spray paint brought life to my old file cabinet!! I am paiting all my cabinets this color now. It looks brand new and absolutely love the texture!! Recommend it 100%

The color was exactly as expected. Ease of use, easy. No clogging and excellent results.

The paint worked well and had good covered on the patio set we repainted. The set looks good enough to last a few more years!

Took all the wall plates off and gave them a lite sanding with 400 grit sandpaper. Put 2 medium coats of paint on them and let them dry overnight just to make sure the paint was durable before handling them too much. Next day the paint was dry and I installed them without any issues. Man, what a difference!!! If you are looking to add some spice to your home for next to nothing, do this!!! And did I say it was easy? Even a novice can tackle this project, no problemo. Rustoleum Hammered spray paint ROCKS!!!! The house had the easiest and best facelift ever, at under $6 this one will definitely score you some points with the honey :-) Recommended it to my best friend the next day, so YEAPPER! I WOULD recommend this to a friend with no hesitation. I have used Rustoleum paints for decades, so I know they put out a good product. Next project for this stuff... Paint my kitchen backsplash accent tiles to continue the hammered bronze look into the kitchen space.

I bought this product to paint over a light fixture and door knobs that were brass in color. The paint covered very well and gave the hammered grey color I wanted. Product dried very fast and did not run. Very pleased with this product.

I took some embossed wall covering, adhered it to some 1/4" masonite (precut to fit) and sprayed it with a Rustoleum metallic bright gold paint. Then sprayed the Rustoleum brown/bronze hammered spray paint over the bright gold. This allowed the gold sheen to come through the hammered paint and gave me my desired effect.

I was building a handrail for this deck I designed. We were looking for the contrast between metal and wood, to create interest. Additionally, we wanted the metal to look like it was aged, yet with a new coat of paint. That's the exact effect we got with this Hammered Paint. I have used other paint, but this product covered better and is holding up well.

Metallic spray paint works great for creating art and props of the Steampunk aesthetic. My project was for a runway show I put on for a Steampunk convention. We used the copper spray paint, and shadowed using black. The paint works well, and doesn't get clogged. Other brands have a lot less coverage and less quality. I buy Rust-Oleum whenever I can find it in the desired color I want.

I recently got a new old car ('99) for a daily driver. The same year and model I'd had several years ago. I'd kept a set of snow tires for that car outdoors and while the rubber was okay the wheels had a lot of surface rust. I was able to remove the loose rust with a wire brush in my drill and then masked and painted the wheels with Rustoleum Hammertone spray paint. I'm pleased with the result. The paint went on well and dried up looking like a metal surface with the hammertone covering a lot of roughness. In the photo there's some purple from lighting--the paint color is fine. I had bought two cans but one was more than enough for a heavy coat on the four wheels. I didn't get any clogging, or drips or sputtering from the spray nozzle like you get from some spray paint. It was already too cold outside so I worked in the basement--with a mask--and even at about 58° the paint dried nicely. I probably could have mounted them after eight hours or so (dry to the touch pretty quickly) but left them for a full day until I got home the next night.

This is great paint. I used it restoring a 1972 MG Midget and it looks great. For best results, start with a light coat a few passes to build up and then finish by raising the can to about 10" and putting on a good wet coat. That will allow whatever is in it to make the hammered tone.

I bought this product to recolor a piece of reclaimed oil drum wall art that was a dark gray color. This paint went on smoothly, has a subtle hammered look and really brightened the piece. I purchased a single can at my local Home Depot, and was able to apply 3 coats with about 1/2 the can. I would highly recommend this paint.

I love the hammered metal look,,,it blends together do much nicer than just plain metal paint. I did my outside furniture, my antique milk cans, you name it, if needed a metal finish,,,this is what I used! However my BEST trick was using this paint to reinvent every light switch cover and outlet cover in our house! It took forever to get them all back in their places, but well worth the time and effort! It's also less expensive, and it works better than the same brands "big fancy can" paint!

I've been using the product for years and have no complaints.

I bought 2 can, both stopped spraying within a few seconds of starting.

My favorite spray paint! Has always been very good but this last can the sprayer didn't work that well till half way through. It would spray with large spatters of paint and the spatters were directed farther out than the main spray. Luckily, I was able to manage but lost 1/3 of the paint.

Rating this “average’ because as Rustoluem goes, it’s great and fine; but I paid extra for this particular textured version (compared to the price of their non-texture-creating paints) and the hammered texture really didn’t turn out.

I do not understand why I have to show ID to purchase spray paint. It is not an illegal substance and this exposes my "PROTECTED" Personal Information Unnecessarily. You've already compromised my personal information once before. Are you doing this on purpose? This is The ONLY Store where that happens. Stop being dishonest with your customers ?

Good copper color replication but delivery is marred by sometimes goopy spray unless you continually shake the can. Shake the can more than normal before starting.
