The rug I purchased before (same name) had dark red...
The rug I purchased before (same name) had dark red in it which is what I wanted. This was all taupe. Disappointing. Fraying on one edge after 1.5 months. Otherwise good.

Hello - Thank you for your review. Shedding is common in all Wool Rugs. What happens is there is loose wool and this will fall out. The most shedding will occur in the first few months. Over time, this will be less and less but it will still continue. This is also mentioned on the back label of your rug. If you are not satisfied with your purchase we recommend contacting the retailer you purchased from directly to initiate the return or exchange process. If needed the retailer will assist further. Other customers have written about the same problem with this particular rug. The pictured rug had red highlights throughout. The rug I got did not have any red in it. Customer service said Safavieh uses various dye lots for the same product -- some with red and some without the red. Totally unsatisfactory. Hope Depot and Safavieh never got back to me with a remedy.

I was not happy with my purchase. The rug was ‘fine’ — but not the same coloring as the rug featured on the website. Customer service was somewhat helpful — but never got back to me — like I was promised. Future phone calls were fruitless.

Rug that is pictured as taupe appears to have a red pattern in it. I ordered 2 of these rugs in different sizes. 1 came as pictured and the other came as taupe. Couldn’t get Home Depot or Safavieh to resolve the issue and get 2 of the same rugs for me. Safavieh customer service was horrible.

It was very thin and didn’t lay flat. There were loose strings around the edge where the binding was and the corners didn’t look like they would hold up over time. Not worth the price and was disappointed because this brand of rug has been one that we’ve liked in the past.
