Nice product

I liked the bookcase. It is not great stability wise but good enough once it against the wall. My only big complaint is the collar is really black. I don’t see any cherry collar at all.

easy to put together

The shelf is great , sturdy and very nice . HOWEVER when I selected this shelf , it did said CHERRY WOOD, inside it gave you color options and I selected the WHITE shelf. And after the order went through it still said CHERRY WOOD. I received the cherry wood and not the white . Very misleading

This was so well packaged there was no chance of getting it damaged. That said, it is all particle wood with a flimsy back panel. The cinnamon cherry looks almost black. Should have gone with the brook cherry but there wasn't a way to really see the colors online. It looks great and so far functions great! :) We did attach it to the wall since it's on carpet - that's a nice safety feature so it doesn't tip over. It's also fairly easy to put together especially if you ask someone to do it for you!

Just wanted some additional storage space on top of some filing cabinets. Worked great.

It is a good bookshelf for the money. Nothing fancy, but it is small and works. Assembly is not a problem but could be a lot easier with very shallow pre-drilled starter holes. You have to be careful aligning everything up. Of course, I assembled it by myself. With two people, it would be very easy. It is very well packaged.

I wanted a bookcase for family photographs, so this was perfect. Not sure how it would work out with books since they're heavier, because this bookcase is not overly sturdy and the backing is very thin cardboard. Also, if you want cherry color, this is not your best choice; this is more espresso color, not much red in it that I can see. But it was great for my purpose, so I gave it a "good" rating.

Very sturdy but lacking in appearance. I expected a better looking bookcase derivative of the price.

I believe the pre-drilled holes on my second cabinet were off. The door did not exactly line-up.

Worst quality furniture

The bookcase was very easy to put together. The design makes it sturdy. I bought two and if I need more bookcases, I will buy more of these Sauder bookcases.

Sauders quality has diminshed over the years. This shelving unit had defects on the shelves. The design is questionable as you build 2 sections that are stacked and held together via cam lock fastners. Previous Sauder shelving units I had assembled years ago were one piece, full height. To stop the shelf from tipping over they include a tie wrap and metal bracket to attach the top of the unit to the wall. A design by monkeys to say the least. Its doubtful I will be buying any more Sauder products

This product was easy to put together. It looks very nice and fit easily into the space where we wanted to put it. It arrived quickly and was a reasonable price.

Its all pressed wood but it went together really nicely this time. No trouble, took about 45 minutes. It looks NICE too and deep cinnamon Cherry color. matches everything in the room. I also anchored it with METAL anchors instead of strap included. Works GREAT.

Assembled by my 10-year old great grandson.

Pleasantly surprised!I was looking for bookcases to cover an entire wall in a small space, and these did not disappoint. They look more expensive than what I paid. Excellent deal!

I have to give this bookcase a "poor" review because of not being able to add a 5th shelf. After contacting Sauder, I was told the bookcase was not intended to support additional shelving and they could not sell me an additional shelf. This information should have been given to prospective buyers. Information that was available when I placed the order online said 3 shelves hold up to 25 lbs and base shelf weight 40 lbs. However, instruction manual said 3 shelves hold 25 lbs, one shelf holds 30 lbs and there was no shelf weight given for the base shelf.
