Great saw, job was canceled because of Covid 19 so haven’t had a chance to use it, but I’m sure it’ll be just perfect.

Light and agile. Cuts like a hot knife through soft butter. Probably make my 77 take a back seat unless cutting heavy timber. Good job Skil and Home Depot for an awesome saw.

I needed a new 15-amp circ saw and decided to see what all of the "left-side-blade" hoopla was about. (I'm right handed.) I considered getting a worm-drive; but, highly rated worm-drive saws are a little pricey. I also considered a battery-powered saw since most of them have blades on the left side; but, I was concerned about their power. After reading reviews for best-in-breed sidewinders, the SOUTHPAW seemed like the best choice for me. When I got it, I immediately bolted on the 60-tooth blade I'd had on my old saw. (So, I can't comment on the blade that came with the new saw.) Then, I used it with a guide to cut down the width of a new blank door to fit an existing jam. Not only did the saw perform effortlessly and flawlessly, I really liked being able to easily see the kerf being cut. The saw is light and comfortable in the hand. (I'm a 65 year-old guy) The cord is long. The saw is noticeably quieter than my old saw. Quality seems excellent as does the price which was less than half the price of a worm-drive saw. So, I like it and I like the left-side-blade. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this saw to anyone.

Where has this saw been all my life? First time using a left bladed sidewinder and boy does it make a difference. Sight line is perfect, saw performed flawlessly through tough the entire day. The lightweight resin body and magnesium plate and guard really help to reduce fatigue. Love this saw!

Having the blade on the "left" side makes the vision of the cut much better for a "right-handed" person. I love it! Things to watch out for though is that with the majority of the "foot" of the saw being on the right, if the piece you are cutting off & discarding is on the right, you will find it difficult to keep the saw blade "vertical". The saw will be setting on the small portion of the foot! Better to turn the cut around and have the discarded piece on the left. Also, due to the direction of the blade rotation, the saw will want to buck up and back at you if the blade binds in your material. Just be aware!

The saw is a good saw I like, the blade on the inside so I can see the line easily , love the easy change from 45 to beyond just pull the tab out , done. I have a little problem with the blade change the wrench was a little big For the nut and no I didn’t use the wrong end , it’s just loose , and a little awkward , the saw is solid Appart from this works well and I don’t go easy on saws

Love this saw replacement for a worm drive to be lighter and less torq when you need to be light and don’t need all the torq plenty of power good sight line

Nice saw a little heavier than I thought

An excellent saw. Worth every penny. Finally a saw with the blade on the proper side. From a carpenter of over 40 years.

Have not even used this yet, but based on looks alone-because HOME DEPOT keeps bugging me for a review, I highly recommend this! It saved my marriage, my hair is getting thicker now, and my car gets better gas mileage!

I'm 55 years old and have been using a right blade circular saw up until now. The South Paw fits in my left hand very comfortably and the 15 amp power is a beast.
