It is rare that something exceeds my expectations. This rug is much better than what I expected to get, especially since I wasn’t so impressed with the carpet Home Depot has in store. However, this carpet is plush, soft, a beautiful ivory color, and comes in the huge size I wanted! And even though it’s pile isn’t the densest, you can’t see the backing unless you dig your nails down into it. What is most amazing is the price - when I was looking to get a piece of carpet cut to this size in store, it would have been almost triple the cost!

I purchased the 8x10 in the beige color. It looks nice, but it is not soft. I have owned two other California shag rugs from Safavieh in the past, and they were AMAZING. However, the yarn on this one is scratchy and doesn't feel nice on bare feet. I'm going to keep it because it's such a pain to return, but I regret buying it.

So if I'm being honest, I didn't have high expectations for a relatively inexpensive rug from Home Depot. I'll have you know, however, that this baby far exceeded expectations. It's thick, plush, nice for barefoot walking and dog paws. I purchased it for the hallway outside my bedroom so that I wouldn't hear people and animals walking while on night shift and sleeping during daytime. It's amazing. Muffles all sounds and my dogs even prefer it as a nice 15ft lounging dog bed haha 100% recommend.

I bought 2 of these to put beside my bed. And after one year of dogs sleeping in them every day. they still look like new, and they don’t show dogs hair either. always looking perfect. Vacuuming every day hasn’t damaged the either. So I decided to buy a big one for my new living room. This Rug is high traffic, kids and dogs proof , and it looks very pretty.
