Beautiful, excellent product except for ice maker!
I have had this model since September 2020. This is a wonderful refrigerator with an absolute failure of an ice maker. The beverage drawer and water pitcher are excellent. The ice maker should be recalled as it is a failure and cannot be rectified.

    Ice Maker Misery
    This is a terrible refrigerator due to the ice maker issues. We are buying a new one, not Samsung, because this Samsung is worthless with the ice maker not working. Samsung is aware of the issue and does not know how to fix it, because it was a bad design to begin with. So you're SOL as far as getting it fixed.

      Do not buy Samsung, they do not honor warranties
      This fridge would be nice if I didn’t keep having so many problems with it. The ice maker for this model will freeze so it can’t dispense ice. Not only that, but we have a 10 year warranty for the compressor and for the last week I have been trying to get Samsung to cover it and they will not honor it. So now, my wife and I are stuck in a snow storm without a fridge because Samsung wouldn’t help us before the snow got here. You can buy better brands at better prices instead of Samsung.

            DO NOT BUY! Horrible ice maker design that will freeze up. Haven't been able to get ice for a couple years now as tired to trying get it to work. And Samsung support is non-existent. Do not buy!

              I bought this refrigerator along with dishwasher, gas range and microwave in oct. of 2020. First thing I noticed is that the ice maker jams a lot and that the dishwasher stopped working after the warranty ran out. It’s my fault for trusting a brand like Samsung. If you buy any Samsung products you should invest in an extended warranty because your going to need it.

                Awful!
                Have had for 4 years. Bought because of design. Big mistake. The first one was installed and that night started leaking water and ruined my hardwood floors which were replaced with my homeowners insurance. The 2nd one had a faulty ice maker which was serviced, it dents if you look at it wrong, I clean fingerprints daily if not more, and today the entire unit stopped working. Piece of junk. Will never buy another Samsung.

                  Please read so you can save yourself!
                  This was the biggest mistake and I have sworn off Samsung as a result. The ice maker stopped working within months. My husband and I would injure ourselves weekly and scrap up our hands trying to fix it ourselves chiseling out ice. I had a repair man come out and he walked in and said “I fix these things all day long and it will just break again”. And he was right. We decided to live without ice. Then the freezer draw would constantly go off track and it would be an epic fight to get it back on with a lot of cursing. I honestly never write reviews but my hatred for this refrigerator makes me want to help some other poor unsuspecting fool from having the same grief with an appliance you literally use ALL DAY LONG.

                    Worst Purchase Ever
                    We purchased this refrigerator and after two months the ice maker would freeze up and stop making ice. We went to the store where we purchased the unit and they gave us a new replacement. Six months later the replacement starting having the same problem. The ice maker would freeze up and stop making ice. We have put up with this for a couple of years but now we've had enough. We are now shopping for a new refrigerator as Samsung never was any help and completely unresponsive to our complaints

                      Great looking! Ice maker is horrible!
                      Looks great. Fits in our kitchen perfect. Ice maker is horrible. Has been repaired twice. A few nights ago I woke up a sound. It was the motor of the ice machine running. It was trying to move ice but there was nothing to move. It was smoking and smelled of burning/melting. The panel wouldn’t turn it off, the reset button didn’t work. We had to unplug the refrigerator and disconnect the ice maker in order for it to stop. When doing that the panel shows errors so the temperature isn’t reading and the water pitcher isn’t working. Samsung is good at TVs and electrics. Not refrigerator. Do not purchase.

                        worst ice maker
                        We really like this refrigerator but would not recommend. Every feature but the ice maker is great. This is our second one because after 2 service calls on our first one because of the ice maker, Samsung sent us a new one. The new one still has the same issues with the ice maker. We are looking to replace the Samsung, but because of the ice maker we will not be buying another Samsung. Just don't want to take that chance.

                          Go with another brand unless you don't care too much for an ice maker ....it stopped working right after warranty. froze up and no matter how many times I defrosted it the ice maker didn't work.

                                    My model number shows its "Rev. 03" RF23M8070SR/AA. Serves Samsung right for the class action lawsuit on the ice maker. If you're one of the poor victims of this model, do call Samsung up for a repair. HOWEVER, even after the class action lawsuit - this is still a badly designed fridge. Imagine this is Rev 03, and still many fatal design flaws: My control panel died, and its not covered. It probably was poorly designed as it isn't water sealed and shorted if there were any food/drink spills. The design of the holding hinges of the drawer shelf is also flawed. Ours gave way because the hinge's tiny plastic would deform. The space is big enough to hold bottles of liquid. Later versions had this hinge redesigned. Nope - this is not covered by the class action lawsuit either. Just don't buy this half-baked design.

                                      HATE THE FREEZER!!!!
                                      I bought this refridgerator at the end of Nov (2023). The top tray of the freezer is such cheap plasic that I have to fight it EVERY time I try to use it. I hated it from the very first day, but thought it was just something I'd have to accept. Within 3 months, the freezer started forming ice crystals (so I knew the seal wasn't good). I called and a tech came to adjust the seal and realign the top shelf. Now, less than 2 months later, I opened the freezer and everything was melted!! Here we go again!!!!!!!!!!

                                        Great refrigerator but the position of the icemaker in the refrigerator section causes it to freeze over. I have to thaw it once a month or I am unable to remove the icebin. Love the filtered water in the door.

                                          Had it for under two years before the ice machine stopped working. Fortunately I spent the money for an extended warranty. They tried to repair it 3x. Each repairman said that this model is trash and that the ice machine will never work. It would work for about 2 months and then die again. Finally warranty company just wrote me a check to go buy a different fridge. This fridge should be part of a class action law suit for selling a product that doesn't last.

                                              Display keeps going out. Had it for 2 years 6 months, problem started last year. Costs an arm and a leg for a technician to come see it. It is not a smudge resistant finish - constantly have to clean it and even then it is still smudgy. Also easily scratched and dented. Seriously, our Roomba left a dent. We’ve had Samsung stainless before and the one in our garage is 8 years old and doesn’t have a scratch, ding and barely shows a smudge. If it were counter depth I’d have it in the kitchen.

                                                  Stay away from Samsung fridge
                                                  Fridge broke within 4 yrs. They replaced all electronic control boards, damper, ice dispenser spread across five visits. It was just connected until one day water came out gushing and we have to grab a mop and bucket. My last fridge was working when we sold home after 15 yrs. Only thing I miss is the neat exterior design.

                                                          Don't buy it!
                                                          Don't buy it. We have had to get the ice machine repaired 3 times since buying it and have had to pay for it to be fixed every time. It is currently leaking water and not making "cubed" ice but a slush. I won't buy this ever again.

                                                            Cannot recommend. Nice design, looks great, but ice maker seizes up. I am using $1.00 ice cube trays designed in 1963 for ice. Five stars if the ice maker would work.
