Great until warranty is up and then....
coil freezes over with ice... 6-8 times a year. unload food, remove drawers & shelves & to get to the back cover that’s frozen, so plan on 2-4 hours of work defrosting. ice maker has issues also.

    Worst Fridge!! DO NOT BUY! We bought this fridge brand new in 2015. After 3 years we've started experiencing major issues with the ice maker. It freezes up and stops making ice. After several hard defrosts and cleanouts the ice maker will work for several weeks and then freeze up again. We've had a technician come out and seal up the ice maker compartment to keep out moisture but that didn't help either. Now we are in year 5 of ownership and the motor is loud and we're experiencing the same issues as everyone else - the evaporator drain line gets clogged up with ice and the fridge leaks water down below the chiller drawer. I've completely cleaned out the fridge and defrosted and cleared the drain line only to have the problem return a month later. I'm done with the fridge, its going in the trash and I'll be replacing it with an LG. Samsung has a class-action lawsuit pending against them for their fridge issues. Won't do us fridge owners any good. DO NOT BUY.

        It has a lot of room, and I don't have to bend over to get something out of the fridge. A lot of space to keep everything organized. Ice maker and filtered water is a blessing. It was delivered and installed. The freezer has two drawers and sections to easyly organize your frozen food. I give it two thumbs up.

        Worked great for a few months before I began having the same problem with the ice maker which many other Samsung refrigerators owners have reported. These ice makers do not work. They will constantly freeze over locking the entire ice ice maker into a solid block of ice. Samsung replaced my ice maker under warranty, and when it failed again a few months later they stated it was now out of the 1 year warranty and wanted to charge me over $400 to have it repaired again. This was the exact part which had been replaced only a couple of months prior. Do not buy this product, or any other Samsung refrigerator with an ice maker. I personally will never buy another Samsung product ever again, and will actively tell friends and family to stay away from this company.

          This would have been an excellent appliance if it had been delivered and installed correctly for the quoted price. Unfortunately, the handle to the freezer fell off just a few weeks after delivery. I assumed this was simply an installation oversight and something the company would immediately fix, but after calling Samsung several times to try to get it fixed, I was told that I would have to pay 10% of the price of the appliance to fix the handle, even though it was installed incorrectly in the first place. They said Home Depot should pay, Home Depot said Samsung should pay. I've now spent many hours on the phone going back and forth between the two companies, but as it stands now it's been two months since my original order and I still don't have a functional appliance. Samsung also has conveniently lost all records of my prior calls, so I get to start this process over again each time I call. I figured I could spend some of the hours on hold to write a review.

            Samsung has an ice maker issue that won't show up until the warranty is invalid. The ice maker freezes over and stops making ice and when it finally is forced to thaw, it can drain all over the floor beneath the fridge and ruin it. Not to mention that once this starts happening, you have to force defrost it every week for an hour or it will freeze up again.

              Beware of Mold!-This refrigerator leaks.

                dont buy this refrigerator. the ice maker freezes up many times. i have a very expensive refrigerator but makes no ice. its very annoying.

                  I bought this at the end of March this year so I have used it for one and half month. I have condensation on the surface of the door(outside). I called the customer center and the agent said I need to turn off the ENERGY SAVER option. There is a heater in front of the door and the heater makes condensation according to the agent. Also, she said they are planning to change the option's name because it doesn't seem to work well. I didn't understand. Then, why Samsung makes this option. If there is no energy saver option, I would have thought about another model. This is soooo disappointing.

                    My old refrigerator broke got this one cause it’s very pretty and Hi-tech. It’s small on the inside can’t hold much food. I really do like the display and apps. 1. It’s hard to clean in between the cracks of the glass shelves. So it’s dirt stuck that I can’t get out. 2. With-in the first year the handle came off the freezer. 3. My ice maker needs to be replaced. I Only it for 1 year and 4 mo.

                      This has been the worst appliance ownership experience I've ever had. I will never buy another samsung appliance and here's why: 1) The ice maker/fan was defective from the beginning and it was making a terrible noise. The random repair guy they finally sent out didn't do anything but wiggle it around and claim he fixed it. I knew that wasn't going to work but he was hellbent on just getting out of my house ASAP. The next day the noise came back. They sent the guy back out and he didn't fix it the 2nd time either. I called back and told them to send someone else so they sent a guy from over an hour away. He walked in and looked at it for a few seconds then took the whole ice maker assembly out and replaced it in a few minutes. It has worked OK since. 2) This appliance has a huge ice buildup problem. It was fine for a couple years but then it started having issues. Eventually the ice buildup gets in the way of the fan and it starts making a horrible noise. You have to take it apart to defrost it and put it back together which takes several hours. There is a heating element in there that is supposed to melt the ice but apparently it doesn't do the job. You can force it to do a defrost cycle several times pushing buttons on the front panel but even that won't melt it all. I took it apart and defrosted it on March 12th and put it all back together. Today is April 27th and the ice buildup is back and far worse than before. I got an error on the fridge about the fan and it refuses to turn on now.... so as I'm writing this all my food is melting. Save yourself. Don't give Samsung your money because they don't care.

                        Problems - do an internet search by the brand name and you will find them. I have owned a Samsung refrigerator for 5.9 years. At this time I have had 2 ice makers replaced and how the ice maker is broken a 3rd time. Plus there is a water leak, leaking water inside the fridge and onto the ground. I am a 77 year old women and have had to pay for these repairs, plus am on my hands and knees cleaning up the water. I reached out to Samsung and all they can tell me is the warranty is expired. THIS IS A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT - DO NOT BUY. Research the ice maker and water line leak issue it is well documented on the internet. I am appalled at their customer service response of this is out of warranty. If this had only happened 1 time I would understand but the ice maker breaking the same way 3 times and leaking water is more than just a minor 1 off issue. Research their product and read the reviews that talk about the same issues I am having. DO NOT BUY. I've been told by the tech that it is a problem with the exterior of the fridge near the ice maker not having enough or extra insulation and the ice partly melts then refreezes and damages the motor. Look at the product photos and you can see a small gap, which I assume should be insulated and that may fix the issue.

                          I'm very happy with this fridge. I love the water and ice in the door (even though it take up some fridge space). The compartments seem to be well thought out and they keep my fruits / veggies and deli items the perfect temperature. The freezer is great and the drawer slides in and out easily. The only slight complaint I have is the size and flexibility of the shelves on the door, though this is mostly due to the French door style and the ice maker. I wasn't sure where I would have room to store tall bottles of wine, but then I realized the flexibility of one of the shelves internally, the front half of the shelf slides under the back half and it leaves plenty of room for tall slender items.

The interior is also a little smaller than expected with the ice in the door but still useable. Love the French doors and bottom freezer. Also love the black stainless steel, looks perfect in our kitchen, although it doesn't hide fingerprints like we expected. Time will tell on reliability, we hope it holds up.

                            We have had this fridge for almost 2 years, it has amazing features and storage. There is one flaw that is becoming costly for us. The problem is the fan in the fridge is gathering ice and making noise. The repairman said there was a noted design flaw with 2 tubes near the fan both passing water at drastically different temperatures. This causes them to build up ice around them which makes the fan unstable, makes noise and causes the fan to run constantly.

                              I purchased this refrigerator from Home Depot in October, 2016, and paid an additional fee to have it delivered to my home. When it arrived, with only a driver and no assistant, I was asked to help get the refrigerator in to my house. I did help the deliveryman which resulted in my back being injured. After he unwrapped the frig, I noticed damage to the exterior of the frig, and I was eventually given a reduction in the sales price. Within a short period of time I noticed that the ice machine was not working properly, and contacted Samsung reps who informed me that they had no one in the area to service the problem. I have lived with this problem for over two years and have just recently been told about a class action suit that has been filed against Samsung regrading the ice maker problem. When I was at Home Depot recently, I discuss the issued with one of their sales rep, who informed me that she would not recommend Samsung to any customer?? I will never purchased another Samsung appliance based on lack of service, and the on going issues I have with this refrigerator

                                    Very roomy and I like the pull out freezer with top drawer but this is the most troublesome refrigerator I've ever purchased. The ice maker continually froze up and had to be defrosted now it's inop. We gave up on changing the water filter since every time it's changed it unseats and leaks. After three years the freezer handles plastic hinge broke on the left side so now it has to be opened with both hand. This might be due to having kids yank on the handle too hard but should have been factored in during design. I do like and own other Samsung products but was not overall impressed with this one.

                                      Buyer beware. Everything that Blings and Glitters isn’t Gold. We have had this Samsung Refrigerator for a 1 ½ years now. We bought the matching black satin Range, Washer, and Dryer as well to complete the set. This is a very nice-looking unit, with LED lighting that really stands out. It was the end of the big Christmas sale and this was the one we chose. The two big problems are the ice dispenser stopped working properly two months out of warranty. Over a 24-hour period it may fill the very tiny ice container about an 1/8 of an inch. I have to make an ice run to the local grocer, just to pick up a bag of ice to put in the dispenser (IRONY). Speaking of the Ice container it is made out of very cheap material and has developed several cracks now. Ironically, we did not get the extended warranty on the fridge but did get it on the Range because my wife was afraid the glass top might break or crack. The other problem is that it leaks water from the dispenser. You have to constantly wipe the back panel and the shallow dip tray. If you forget and open the door water will end up all over the floor. Water also drips onto the condiment shelves below the dispenser. I cut out a piece of a fabric dish mat to help with the drip pan. All this are known issues and they still sell this product. The milk bin also came apart so I just super glue it back. Freezer = 10 Looks = 10 Storage = 8 Ice Maker = 0 Water Filter = 9 Bins/Drawers= 7

The freezer is large and spaceious and room for two 20 pounds truckey in the bottom and still have room for other items.
