Doesn't clean the dishes
Want clean dishes? Don't buy this dishwasher! Our cups, plates and bowls ALWAYS come out with stuck on crud like this. It's brand new, and it happened even the first cycle, and every cycle since.

Very quiet and it cleans my dishes well the only reason I give 4 stars is because I still have a hard time figuring out how to load it. I feel theres no good way to put my plates and bowls on the lower rack. It us something I have to get used to. But overall it is a great dishwasher and is very quiet and cleans everything well.

Looks and works great. Would buy again. Hope it holds up reliability wise but so far so good for the first month. Love the black stainless steel. It doesn't clean as well as our last dishwasher and is a little louder, which is the reason for 4 starts.

DO NOT buy this dishwasher. Detergent deploys maybe 50% of the time. Nothing fits inside - dishes slip all over, and wire guides bend easily. Contacted Samsung Customer Service (had to send photo of the spec plate which was annoying) and never heard back from them. I'm an architect - I specify appliances for multi unit properties, and the entire Samsung catalog is currently off the table based on my experiences with this dishwasher. On the bright side, the black stainless finish is great.

Pros: Great Appearance, Very quiet Cons: Flimsy racks and roller system Flap at bottom has to be taped behind kick guard or it will pull out every time the door opens Missing parts, Home Depot give me a card where I could purchase them. Needed counter mounting brackets so I had to buy them because they were missing even though they are supposed to come with it.

We had purchased all the other Samsung black stainless kitchen appliances other than the dishwasher and was waiting for a good sale. When I found this one on sale, I grabbed it. You can barely hear it running and the stainless steel tub and top controls make it look upscale. Well worth the additional money and adds value to your home.

BUYER BEWARE! THIS DISHWASHER DOESN'T CLEAN DISHES WELL! My husband and I bought this new dishwasher a couple months ago before having a baby. We wanted to find something more modern that would allow us to wash and sanitize baby bottles/dishes/etc. We chose this unit because we have other Samsung appliances we like, and knew the stainless steel would match perfectly, plus we like the top control (anticipating toddlers who like to push buttons.) I spend double the amount of time preparing our dishes for the dishwasher (rinsing most of the food off), and yet, our dishes still come out dirty. Most of our glasses seem to come out of the dishwasher dirtier than they went in! We've had the dishwasher for about 7 months and have tried every possible setting, as well as multiple detergents. The Cascade pacs did seem to work a little better, but they left all our dishes and glasses smelling (and tasting!) like detergent. Yuck! Samsung did send out a serviceman to take a look, and he thought it might be an issue with the drain, that he corrected. However, we noticed no changes in the functionality of the dishwasher. I'm left spending more time preparing dishes and refusing to wash any of our baby items in it. Furthermore, despite having Home Depot's credit card that offers "Hassle-free returns on major appliances within a year", somehow dishwashers are not considered a major appliance, so I have no way to return this dishwasher.

As others have stated the unit rusted very quickly. The front is ruined with spots of rust. It event even 6 months old. I bought the unit because I have an open floor plan and it was suppose to be silent. I can hear the unit clean 20 feet away. It doesn't clean properly. See attached picture. If its not cleaning soap, its not cleaning dishes. I've tried the pods and detergent. Sometimes the soap door doesn't even open and the soap stays inside the compartment the entire cycle. Complete trash. Last Samsung appliance ill purchase.. I've replaced my Samsung washer, dryer, microwave. Whirlpool it is. At least they stand by the product. Appliances used to last 10+ years, now this over priced garbage doesnt even last 2-3. Samsung support says the rust i'snt covered by warranty due to cosmetic. Yeah. Good luck.

The two main things that I like about the dishwasher is first it cleans no matter what's on my dishes. Second our kitchen is very closed to our living room, and it can be working and not even bother me watching TV. Quietness and cleaning are the two best assets of this dishwasher

The StormWash provides excellent cleaning on my dishes, the layout of the rack allows for maximum capacity of dishes. It is easy to loan and run. The buttons on top allow for a clean sleek look on the front. I love the automatic open function after the wash cycle is complete. It allows the dishes to finish the dry cycle without the musty smell of an air-tight closed unit.

This is a great product and best of all easy to install! The leveling adjustment for the back helped tremendously with the uneven floor. Beautiful product. Works so quietly I keep opening the door as it is running because I cannot hear it. Get dishes very clean and totally dry. Let the cycle run out - overnight is best and you will not hear anything. Very Happy and would definitely buy this again. It is better than the Bosch that I purchase in Chicago.

            Perfect for our family
This dishwasher is absolutely perfect for our family. I wanted to wait a couple of months to review this to make sure it continued to work nicely. At first glance, it's very sleek. The control panel is hidden on the top edge so it appears very nice. There are 6 different wash cycles to choose from--auto, normal, heavy, delicate, express 60, and rinse only. There are also options for a high temp wash and a sanitize feature. According to the manual, the sanitize feature raises the temperature to 163 degrees F = 73 C in the final rinse cycle to officially sanitize and kill 99.99% of food bacteria. We usually use the auto, normal, & express 60 cycles. If you rinse your dishes before placing them in the dishwasher like we normally do, the express 60 cycle will be done in 60 minutes & dishes come out looking great. If you don't feel like rinsing them first, then the longer cycles will do the job. It's super easy to use the touch pad controls--just start on the left & press "power" to turn it on, then choose your cycle, any options you want, then press "start" on the right. Then you just shut the door within a few seconds and it starts working like a charm. It's very quiet while running. Don't be surprised that the door pops open a few inches when the cycle is complete. It helps the dishes dry faster. It will also play a little musical song at the end of each cycle. It's pretty funny. The racks are adjustable and the silverware compartments have separators so your utensils don't get stuck together. We've used this every day since owning it & it still works perfectly.

            A well designed dishwasher
It's hard to expect much more than washing dishes from a dishwasher, but Samsung StormWash does it with style and does it quietly. It starts with a fully "clean" front panel; no control panel or handle that sticks out. The door handle is designed within the door - a nice feature Samsung has been doing with many of their appliances. The controls are on the top of the door and are out of site when the door is closed. The exterior shell is well insulated. First it is clad with a dense rubber like material. I imagine to deaden the water noise spraying on the stainless steel shell but likely also helps minimize condensation with temperature changes of the dishwasher shell. Covering over the rubber material is an additional blanket of sound insulation. This is far better than the fiberglass batting that is usually used. This sound blanket might be why some owners had difficulty with the install - it will squeeze a bit for some cabinet spaces, however, I didn't have any trouble with the fit. The inside was designed for just about every type of dish size you have from the adjustable top rack to the removable plate racks and utensil baskets. The there is the StormWash area. This is the red bordered section on the bottom rack. There is a special sprayer designed to aim into dishes in the StormWash zone that will sort of pressure wash the dishes. We typically like air drying our dishes so the door pop open feature was like made just for us! With our old dishwasher we often forgot to open the door a of freshly washed batch of dishes requiring us to towel dry when unloading. The Samsung StormWash is so quiet when washing; now, I catch myself going to check on the dishwasher to see if it is finished. The popped open door is just too cool. Washing cycles are very good. Seldom any residue in stuff like bottom recessed rimmed cups. I believe this is because of the sprayer mounted above the top rack. It apparently sprays a pretty good amount of clean water from the top for a final rinse. Note that even though Samsung states no pre-washing; thick sauces should be rinsed from pots first. Plates are OK, it pots hold more in layers. However, the StromWash removes food particles very well. I am very pleased with the Samsung StormWash - looks and it's ability to really clean.

No one enjoys relearning how to do the same thing. However, I did NOT expect LESS features on a NEWER dishwasher, plus no matter how I position myself and my hand grasp, the dish racks are the most CLUMSY racks I have ever used. WOW, a machine 8 years more "advanced" than my last machine and not only is it more difficult to open the main door and slide the dish racks in and out, but we also LOST the ability to put in dirty dishes in a DISHWASHER! WHAT? Yes, our 'older' machine never required us to disassemble anything to clean the nozzles and we NEVER had to rinse the dishes BEFORE washing them in the dishwasher as it had a built-in disposer and filter. I know, this is "MY" fault I am unhappy with the POOR function of the racks and door as I did not think engineers would remove features from a machine just so they can make the door automatically pop open and I did not completely read the features that I enjoy that were "missing" in the description before ordering. I read "automatically opens" and just 'knew' a machine that does that will obviously do everything else. How does that go, you don't know what you have until it's gone. I am hoping those features are no longer necessary and I will know more in a month but having to rinse dishes first is a big ZERO. The delivery and "PAID FOR" installation process was also HORRIBLE - muddy clay was tracked through the house by delivery crew and the front panel was hvac taped on after the install tech spent ten minutes trying to install it properly and failed. On the way out the door he glanced where "he" had place the installation instructions and said " I guess I could have read those..." and kept on walking. It is possible this machine and my happiness have no chance. Yes, the trim piece is still "taped" on with hvac silver tape and will continue to do so until I get really good and tired of seeing it shine at me and then "I" will remove it and PROPERLY install the trim piece. WHO is going to pay for that? Just me and my 'free' time. I guess I'll soon know how durable that finish is on the trim piece. Good help is so hard to find and yet, the labor is gone and the racks are still a pain in the wazoo.

There is a obvious flaw that SAMSUNG knows about as does Home Depot, the big black rubber flap at the bottom of the dishwasher does not stay behind the kickplate had a service guy out here and he thought he had it fixed but it fell right back out after he left. Why are they selling this when they know this can happen, I called Home DEPOT and waitng for a call back I want this dishwasher returned, just so wrong.

Very nice looking front face in burnished stainless steel
Controls / buttons are in the top lip of the of the door. Out of the way, until needed. A lot of options on control; but delay start time is my favorite. I can load it up after dinner and then set it to run at 1AM; and I have clean dishes at 7AM! The installers were very accommodating. The day before, the installation company called, and told me they would be there between 8am-12pm the next day, but closer to 8am since I was first on the list for the day. The next day, around 8:30am Crystal called and said the installer was having 'truck issues', and that she was going to call around and see if another installer would be able to make it later in the day. I told her that I had to work, so she said they could come out on Sunday between 8am-12pm. Sunday about 9:30am the installers called and said they would be there in about 40 minutes. They did arrive about 40 minutes later (2 guys), one came in and dealt with taking the old dishwasher out and the other was outside getting the new one ready. The installers were fast and efficient - they were done in about 45 minutes. They did not make a mess, and cleaned up after themselves. They ran the dishwasher through a brief cycle while they were still here to make sure it did not leak anywhere. The installers also hauled away my old dishwasher for me. Pros - It is much quieter than my old one. I'm able to easily adjust the racks so they can hold different size things - more plates or pots and pans, silverware holders are removable - you can take one out and leave one in for more space Cons - The door doesn't stay all the way open unless bottom rack is on top of it. Comments - The 'Normal Cycle' takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes to run completely. The door 'pops open' with about 10 minutes left to help dry and cool and reduce power. Dishes were nice and clean when the cycle was completed.

Wonderful delivery men carried it over hardwood floor in to in front of install area. We need a sleek white dishwasher to blend into our white Victorian cabinets. Machine is so quite, pop open feature has a fan to help prevent moist problems under counter top, after fans turn off a sweet little melody plays to let it be known it is all done. One of the best at adjusting a load, for the first time ever my stock pot fits, upper level has to heights to choose from. Have washed bowls in sync used storm wash and came out nice and clean. Dislike the black rubber hanging down in front of dishwasher under door, since there is a white service panel covering mechanicals this is just an eye sore. Only had it a month but it has met our expectations

Looks great, cleans well, super quite, but a pain to install.
This Samsung dishwasher looks great and does an amazing job cleaning dishes. Pros - Great looks and has a large capacity - Quiet - Rinse feature is nice and prevents things from ‘caking’ onto dishes if you aren’t planning on running the dishwasher for some time - Stainless steel bin Cons – - Install requires a 25 inch deep cabinet space otherwise the DW will stick out from cabinet - Install requires water supply line and drain line to be routed under the toe kick, which will require two new holes to be drilled if you’re replacing an old dishwasher

              Sleek, Modern Dishwasher
The Storm Wash Dishwasher is very sleek and modern looking and also works very well. Our dishes come out very clean and looking great. Comes with unique features like the early release of the door - Allows the steam to release and makes the dishes dry faster. It also sings to you when its done, which can be turned off. The install was also extremely timely and professional. Our installer arrived on time and uninstalled our old dishwasher with no problem and did a very thorough job installing our new dishwasher. There are only a couple things that will take getting used to... the plate & silverware storage is great, holds a ton, however the bowl storage is awkward and wastes a lot of space on the top rack. If you do not space out the bowls enough, they don't get clean. The early release feature also happens while it's in Sanitize. Which I'm not sure how that works since all of the steam is being released outside - seems energy inefficient. If you are also looking for a truly "silent" dishwasher, this one is very quiet but not silent like some other ones out there. Overall, works very good so far. Just need to figure out a better way to load in bowls.

              It plays Shubert!
This is the best dishwasher I have ever owned. It is so sleek looking that for a dishwasher it really stands out in it's space in the kitchen. I recommend picking up a good stainless steel cleaner/polish to really let it glow. The flexible racks are fantastic for really loading her to the brim, and each load I've dropped in the machine has come out spotless and crystal clear. The door automatically popping open when it is finished to vent out is a great feature, and everyone's favorite is the fact that it plays a Shubert tune at the end as well!

              Great purchase!!
Very nice stainless steel dishwasher inside and out! Super quiet when running, dishes come out very clean and sparkling. Many options for washing dishes on control panel on top of door, I really like that the controls are away from little fingers! Shows time left in each cycle. You can adjust the upper lower rack by 2 inches and and rack the lower rack. Utensil holders are smaller. Can also remove plate support to wash pots and pans. The door automatically pops open to speed up drying time. This dishwasher takes longer to dry than my old one.

Super Quiet, Numerous Features, at an Excellent Price
This Samsung StormWash Dishwasher provides numerous options at an amazing price point. The sound damping material is about the best I've seen in any dishwasher. The body of the dishwasher is padded in black sound damping material. On top of that there is a dark green curtain of material. What I really like is that Samsung made sure to attach it very well. Installs can be difficult if the sound damping material is too bulky or poorly attached to the washer. This dishwasher has a pocket handle which gives a clean look. The interior is stainless steel, the buttons are touch control, the racks can be adjusted a number of ways, etc. Installation took me under an hour and there were no issues at all. In addition to the StormWash there are numerous wash options. I was skeptical about the Auto Release door feature and thought it was going to be more of a gimmick. I'm happy to report that it really works. There's nothing negative I have to say but one complaint I often hear is about how long the cycles take. Unfortunately that's the case with most Energy Star dishwashers these days. There is an Express Wash for when you are in rush. There are fancier dishwashers with more features but this one looks great and has just about everything you will need. Best of all is the price.

Cleans like a champ and quiet as a mouse.
This is is totally handsome. It was easy to install but I did have to purchase a few things to do the installation since I had not had a dishwasher in place before. There is a parts list of things you may or may not need with this installation. I have never owned a dishwasher this quiet or with this many great options of washing cycles, 6 cycle and 4 other options. I used the 3 hour cycle and dishes came out perfect. After the cycle was over the door pops open and releases a little steam and then dries dishes quickly. I was very pleased with it from installation to both my first and second wash run through. I love the location and look of the control panel. Easy to read and understand. Love the idea of being able to adjust the rack to meet the needs of what you are loading. Lots of room for lots of dishes and pots and pans due to the well thought out layout by Samsung engineers. This thing is quiet as a mouse. The sound proofing is exceptional. So many options and features for such a small price is really awesome.

Wow! Such a great dishwasher compared to our old Kenmore. Yes, new always works better, however this new Samsung Stormwash has gone above and beyond initial expectations. My wife really loves the Stormwash feature to clean the most dirtiest pots and pans. I like the fact that it's much quieter than other dishwashers I have heard. If you are looking for quality and price, this Samsung product is a tough one to beat.
