We purchased this product, along with all the matching kitchen appliances, April 2018. About 2 weeks ago it started activating 7 seconds on the timer randomly, day & night. I called Samsung last week and since it is now out of warranty they offered to pay for the parts and I would need to pay for the service labor. They called today said they cannot find a service provider in our area, so they closed our case. This problem is a known issue with this microwave but they continue to sell this product. I will not be purchasing another Samsung product for our replacement. Buyer beware!

This microwave stopped working after three weeks of use. Defrosted meat, no problem. Ten minutes later put hot dogs in to warm and no display, no power, nothing. It has taken 6 weeks to get to a point where it looks like I may actually get a working microwave again. That is 100% because of Home Depot. Samsung's customer service was minimally helpful. If you purchase a Samsung appliance through Home Depot, start any warranty requests with them and they will assist. Going through Samsung is futile. When the microwave functioned, it was perfectly fine. I purchased it along with a suite of Samsung black stainless steel appliances and I like the clean look of the unit. It has nice features and I really like the bright white lights over the stove. I just feel that a purchase should last longer than three weeks.

  • Do Not Buy!!!
  • April 05, 2020

Purchased this microwave to replace another broken Samsung, it lasted all of 6 months, Samsung repaired under warranty, broke again yesterday, I’ve had this unit for 1.5 years and Samsung won’t fix it and basically told me I’m out of luck. A. Samsung does not stand behind their products. B. Will tell you to go buy another one. Basically the $35 microwaves are better than the Samsung and have 10X the life and value. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG!!!

Pros Easy to Clean, Looks Great Cons Not Durable, does not last at all, samsung won’t stand by their product

I would never have thought that I'd ever call a microwave "sexy" - but here we go. This thing is certainly eye candy and as sleek as a cooking appliance gets. Besides the optics, it performs really well. Two thumbs up!

bought this 3 months ago for my elderly parents after their microwave broke. one of the biggest selling points for me was the display. the last microwave had small print that did not have a good contrast so it was difficult for them to operate. the display on the model is VERY easy for them to read. the microwave has comes with a lot of great functions. I was afraid it might be too many options for them to learn how to use, but on the inside of the door it gives you great instructions on how to use the various functions. My parents love the microwave and have had no trouble using it. I like the simple, elegant design too. additionally, I was very surprised when customer service from Samsung called before the unit was delivered and installed. A live person actually called, went over my purchase and told me to call them if there was any problem with the unit. I am very satisfied both with Home Depot and Samsung.

  • Frustrating

The glass touchpad gradually has lost functionality until only one or two buttons respond. This started within a year of installation, but we'd had the microwave in a box for a few months waiting for a new kitchen. Samsung was of ZERO help.

It made it through Thanksgiving without a hitch! We love the LED lighting and the sensor cook functions. I especially like the melt / soften butter feature. My only complaint is it does not have a timer function for the lights.

This was easy to adapt my vending settings with only a few screws and rotating the fan. Went in great and looks awesome in the kitchen. The lights are our favorite part as we have yet to put our lighting in the remodeled kitchen.

I really like the arrangement of the operational panel on the window in the front of the microwave. It gives it a very clean, sleek look. The microwave has a large (relative to the competition) glass plate inside and a wire rack that lets you heat two or more things at once. The interior is quite large and easy to clean. The only negative comment I might have is that the placement of the handle to open the door all the way on the right is a trifle inconvenient. I would have preferred in recessed under the middle of the door. Otherwise, I love it!

Much better than my last one (GE Profile which died in 2 years and no longer made by GE). The Samsung has many nice features. The vent fan will come on automatically if too much heat builds up under it from the oven. The control touch panel is very responsive with useful pre-sets. If you're energy conscious there is an ECO button that turns off display although I can't imagine the display using that much energy. Right next to the Start button is a 30 second button. Since this display requires that you press in the time and then press Start (can' just press 1 to have it start a 1 minute cook), the 30 second button is handy. If I want 1 minute 30 seconds I can press the 30 second button 3 times and press start. You can also increase or reduce the cook time in 10 second increments by pressing the UP or Down arrows while cooking. Sturdy construction and easy to install although you must use the included templates. Well pleased!
