Incomplete instructions. Different overall dimensions than posted online. Had to guess on drill bit needed. Great product however.

The instructions state to use a 3/8" drill bit. So that is what I did. Then, after drilling two huge 3/8" holes in my nice wood door, I go to insert the screws and discover the screws are tiny 3/16" diameter screws and are swimming around loosely inside these two huge holes I just drilled! It was actually hard to get the screws to line up with the mounting holes in the knocker because of the oversized holes the instructions told me to drill. I am not happy. I feel like Schlage owes me a new front door. Buyer Beware - do not trust the instructions!

The door knocker was beautiful, but too large for an apartment door. It is very durable and the finish will last a long time.

This is a great basic door knocker with a great price tag

Original door had a tarnished brass door knocker the same size. Replaced after painting door and it fit exactly. Says apartment knocker but it is perfect for the house. Finish matches new doorknob. Simple, clean tasteful not ornate.
