The finish doesn’t hold up. I have six of these and they’re only a year old. The finish is TERRIBLE. These should be under warranty.

This is the first smart system weve had in our home and we love it!! My wife and i both have the app on our phones and can lock and unlock the doors from anywhere. You also can set differnet pins for differnet people and the app tells you who has unlocked the door with their pin. The lock is a bit bulky on the inside but not terrible

Love this Lock and it works perfect also with my Alexa app. Although the first one the motor wasn’t working and I had to return it the second one is perfect.

Handsome upgrade paired with handle from our her local big box store. Love the keyless entry for myself. I installed the same lock on my home for STRs. Super convenient to monitor and change codes.

This lock was very easy to swap out. I have an identical one on a home I use for short term rentals and love the WiFi access. On this home, I appreciate being keyless and just love how it dressed up my entryway. I bought the matching handle set at another big box store in town to complete the look. I bought a different brand of keyless locking handles for the back of the house because they have the ability to be re-keyed. Sadly, they do not accept Schlage keys, so I’ll have to keep two keys \M/

Replaced standard lock with key. This lock is fantastic. I wanted a lock that can be controlled electronically, on the lock itself and has a key option. This lock looks and functions perfect.

I loved this the first time I installed it. Everything was working perfectly installing was easy but after about 6 months when the batteries were low some how the keypad stopped working… i tried changing the batteries but still not working I emailed costumer service about a week ago and haven’t gotten a response yet….

These locks were very simple to install. They are compatible with the Ring app which is a major plus.

After 2 years schlage lock stopped working,months passed replacement sent, had to pay to get installed. New lock didn't work. spent TWO HOURS holding, told to buy new batteries, though I just installed batteries Schlage sent . Schlage said sometimes batteries they send are old . 4 new batteries installed, lock not working.Schlage suggest I dismantle lock, not user friendly was not able to put it back on. HAD TO KEEP DOOR UNLOCKED TILL NEXT DAY BUGS IN SCHLAGE WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN

Home Depot sent me an opened package which was obviously someone else’s return. Not good acceptable for an electronic product. They have refused to fully refund the purchase after I returned it.

Never forget to lock your house again, with Bluetooth, WI-FI, and auto locking features you never have to worry about locking the door. If you're replacing an older deadbolt with this follow the instructions on the website it's a breeze. I didn't give it a 5 star review for the simple fact it's not compatible with mortise lock assemblies.

Absolutely love my Schlage Encode Plus deadbolt. The security and convenience, as well as the streamlined look are great. Having the ability to lock/unlock from my phone, as well as tracking capability of entries/exits to my home.

Great lock! Works well, very functional, good design. Apple homekit update has made sharing home impossible without a hub.

Everything about this lock is amazing...but there is 1 flaw that makes it UNUSABLE for Airbnb. The numbers and icons are almost impossible to see until you touch it. Most people are going to touch the white lines around the 5. ISSUE: When you touch the screen, the screen lights up but also registers the number you touched. To open the lock, the user needs to first touch the house icon to so you can see the numbers. However, you cannot see the house icon. UNUSABLE for Airbnb! Returning.

I love that the lock connects straight into the wifi ... no hub needed.

People have been recommending this for a while but I thought it was too much. Now I have three kids in grade school and they forget their keys. This make total sense. All the kids have their own codes and can easily get in the house after school. I can see when they used their code to open the door and they are all happy to have their independence

I’d give it a 5 rating, but I spent a couple of hours trying to set it up online, to realize that They were missing very important information. I was able to find it by googling how to properly set it up, and finally found a video on YouTube, but only after reviewing five others. The instructions included will only guide you all the way to the physical installation, after that is up to you to figure it out. Super easy to install. Ideal for a home with teenagers or elderly because no keys needed and you can lock and unlock the door from anywhere in the world. It’s a teenagers worst nightmare because it’s tracks when they come and go because you can assign each family member a different code. It holds up to 200 different codes. Amazing for disabled or elderly since the door can be opened by a smart phone. Highly recommended

Straight forward easy replacement of an existing lock with this new smart lock . Only tool required was a Phillips screwdriver.

I bought this product during Christmas last year. The keypad is dead. I have tried everything, replacing batteries, etc. and nothing has worked. The sad part, is that this is my second product that I have bought and the same result.

I truly love this lock. I played around with all of them in the store and decided to spend the extra cost because this lock felt great/solid and loved its function. Now that I have it installed I know I made the right choice.. You can lock and unlock your front door from anywhere using your cell phone. You can even create multiple codes to get in the door. I highly recommend this to anyone.

It was so easy to install in 30 min. The lock was the second purchase and for the kitchen side door. It fit perfect though my kitchen door had a glass frame.

Opted to go with the Encode for our new front door. We loved the look of the Camelot series in Oil Rubbed Bronze, and decided to go electronic on the deadbolt for several reasons. Installation was very easy for me, and programming the device with the iPhone App went very smoothly. We are very pleased with our purchase this far. My only unknown is how long battery life will be, as that seems to be mentioned in several reviews

We installed this lock on our back door a couple years ago. The first one we had started having problems within a couple months. After replacing the batteries and resetting the lock, it would suddenly stop working a couple weeks later. After a few rounds, we determined that the lock was somehow shorting out the batteries. Schlage told us to return the unit for a new one. I was thankful for good customer service in this instance, and the new lock has operated properly ever since. We absolutely love having the keypad entry on the door. We are having home renovations done right now, and in less than 5 minutes, I was able to create a code for my contractor, which I can later delete after our project is done. My teenagers like not fumbling with their keys when they get home after dark. We have set the lock to automatically engage after 30 seconds, so I never have to worry if the same teenagers forget to lock the door behind them. I have not yet had to change the batteries again, so that is also a positive point. The negative as of now is that the finish on the outdoor side of the lock, along with the matching Schlage door handle we bought at the same time, looks absolutely awful after two years. We have the aged bronze finish, and it looks 95 years old, and not in a charming vintage sort of way. Some areas are peeling, other areas just look dull or corroded. We will be replacing it soon with a different finish, and possibly a different brand, to hopefully get more than two years of life out of the lock and handle. I can recommend the lock but I would avoid the bronze finish.

The lock looks very nice and modern. My only issue with the lock is that I had a hard time connecting it to wifi. After doing much some research I found out that the lock is unable to connect to mesh wifi. The lock is Unable to tell the difference between the 2.4ghz/5ghz You think for a $250 lock it would have no issues with that. My dogs camera is only $25 and has no issue connecting to a mesh wifi. So luckily I had a wifi extender sitting around and used that to create a 2.4ghz connection allowing the lock to connect to the extender. Other than that the lock works great and looks good.

This smart WiFi Schlage door lock is built with security in mind. It’s easy to understand and to use. The lock seems to be built tough. I love the way it looks and operates and the finish seems to be very durable!
