Failed after two years
I loved everything about this lock and had you asked me two weeks ago would have given it 5 stars. Unfortunately the actuator failed two weeks ago and has not worked since. I have put in a new battery, cleaned out all the gunk, re-lubricated and yet the actuator refuses to engage on the electronic lock. We did have sub-zero temperatures last week and after some research these do have trouble in the cold and after exposure but I can't recommend a deadbolt I have to replace every 2 years

Worst purchase ever
If there's a bunch of videos explaining how to fix the keypad lock you spent a lot of money on and HD tells you to take it to a locksmith clearly there's a problem. Choose another manufacturer.

The lock was easy enough to install though 1 draw back was the depth of the lock on the outside interfered with the handle of the storm door. Seems when the free turning knob on the luck which is used to latch the door when locking blocks the full functionality of the storm door handle. I was able to circumvent the issue by rotating the storm door handle position 90 degrees. Never expected this issue and only discovered it when someone was trying to open the storm door with the Schlage locking handle was left in the vertical position.

I have put 3 of these on my barns and house. I like that you physically lock the deadbolt. Easy installation. I did have to exchange the last one because it had been previously returned and didn’t have instructions which you need for the master code to program it. Home Depot’s return or exchange process is easy.

Doesn't last
Bought the Key pad deadbolt and easy to install but within 2 years cylinder rotates but doesn't engage to open or close.Despite following UTUBE instructions for repair, still didn't engage.
OK, if you don't mind being locked out!

Love this lock! Such a smooth action! So easy to install. I was surprised that the store couldn't re key the new lock. I guess that Home Depot doesn't want to take the responsibility of re keying door locks.

Already having issues with the locks getting stuck the internals seem to be seizing up and the outside deadbolt is free spinning not quality at all for this price point

Bad design Stay away
This lock fails prematurely leaving you not being able to get into your house. The unlock cylinder will just spin after you input your key. Switched to defiant and the quality seems better. I don't recommend any use this lock.

Easy To Install
The deadbolt lock was easy to install. Pre-programmed codes worked perfect. Looks nice. One major problem---When I closed the door, the keypad on the outside meets my storm door knob. I can't close my front door. Good thing, removal was as easy as install. I'll be returning to the store this week.

I had installed one in 2007. What is nice about the lock is that you can have multiple entry numbers. So you don't need keys. I just happen get one on sale. Works good , takes a 9 volt battery that last a year. There are better ones, but this one works good for me.
