We chose this for when we were redoing our bathroom, it makes the transition between the original hardwood and tile really nice.

Just received two of these profiles. Packaging was awesome. Protected in a cardboard tube with paper inside to protect the finish from sliding around during handling. First impression when pulling them out was obvious quality. After waiting over a week for the shipping, was exited to use these for our kitchen backsplash project. However, my 1/4" thickness subway tile was taller than these 1/4" profiles. Surely would of stuck out more after install due to the adhesive raising the tiles slightly. I'm sending these back for the 5/16" version. I know all tiles are not flat, with bevels/contours etc. Recommend measuring the tile thickness while holding it on the wall before ordering. Then wall adhesive is going to bring it out a tad more.

It was too small for my 1/4" tile. Although the tile actually measured a little larger so maybe thats on the tile manufacturer. Also consider if using self leveling spacers as you will then need a larger trim to accomdate for wall. I had to return. But it looked really good

The Schluter mirror edging that I bought works fine and looks good but I would have liked better pictures of the product beforehand - it was not exactly what I was expecting.

The trim worked great for the edges of my backsplash. It was fairly easy to cut with my small miter box and a hand saw. With small penny tiles that are thin compared to most tile, the metal lip can push the tiles out a bit, but it's not too noticeable. The color was much more bronze like than the pictures online. The image on the website makes it look like a silver color, but it's not. Though it still looked really nice and it's fairly easy to work with for someone that has not done much tiling in the past.

Easy to install, good price, and looks very handsone--especially this color, which nicely picks up finishes in the "antique brass" and "champagne bronze" finishes. A few tips: (1) Though the video says the strips can be attached with just mastic, nail them in place. (2) Be sure to compare your tile thickness to the side of the strip, to be sure you use the right size (1/4, 3/8, etc.). If the strip side is too thick, the job won't look good. (3) Schluter makes two different styles, one where the side is a right angle to the base, and one where it rounds. The latter gives a more traditional look, while the former is more contemporary. however, the former is also less noticeable, so you can use it in traditional baths where you don't want to call much attention to the transition.
