Great product kine. My lawn looks great.

The product did well. The grass seed is coming along nicely.

I use a Scotts Deluxe EdgeGuard and had the same problem with the application rate that others have posted. I use a 5' plastic pipe to measure the spacing between each pass and used only 5lbs to cover a 80'x50' area, i.e. 4000sqft. In 2021 and 2022 using the same spreader, I used 1/2 of a 15K bag to cover 7500sqft broadcast at 4.5 each year. This was the correct rate for that bag. What changed?

Last evening, I discovered Scotts went from 15,000 sq ft. bags to 12,000 sq ft. bags with a price increase. What a disservice to your loyal clients. To find the positive out of this, maybe its a perfect time to shop around competing products. Thanks Scotts.

I put the Scotts Winter Guard fertilizer on my lawn a couple of weeks ago, and have my fingers crossed that my lawn will look nice in the spring.

I'm never disappointed in how my lawn looks after using it

I have used this product and the summer product for many years and has worked great. BUT this year, I was teaching my son in law how to use a new spreader and we FORGOT to water the lawn afterwards. Now I have many burnt patches around the lawn. I am not really blaming the product. Yet I read the instructions and it says that we do not have to water afterwards. So what gives?? Also is there another product that I can use to help the burn mark recover faster.

Low dust, usually very small grain that flows easily in/out of broadcast spreader. Consistent, predictable results.

I used Scott product for a long time only to discover that each spring it seemed as though the weeds were increasingly more prevalent. I switched to Pennington and my yard looks amazing.

I am very disappointed that Scotts reduced the coverage of what used to be the 15,000 sqft coverage bag to 12,000 sqft and increased the price at the same time. Not only that but the application setting for broadcast spreaders is stated to be 2 3/4. I have a brand new Scotts Elite spreader and when I applied the Fall fertilizer to my larger than 15,000 sqft lawn at the 2 3/4 setting, I was left with more than half the bag remaining. That means that either the stated setting is wrong or my very expensive Elite spreader is no good.
